NGC, Fig Forth, really, haven't met anyone who would even know what that was in years! I just got a forth that runs on my Raspberry Pi, still a fun language!

You're right. I have no idea what you're talking about. Fig Forth ? sounds like something you see a doctor about. |

I thought I knew every language going, but that's one I've never heard of... Related to Fortran?? Edited by Brewster, Dec 6 2015, 09:26 PM.

Part of our problems in this country come from the fact that we rarely can admit we were/are wrong. We seem to no longer have much of a news media and we seem reluctant to teach history (real) in our schools. What can possibly go wrong? |

I even had the "Forth love if honk then" bumper sticker way back then. |

Not even remotely! FIG was the Forth Interest Group that put out a version of Forth for most of the computers back then. Forth was a stack based language. It was a higher level language than assembler, but lower level than BASIC. You either pushed a value or an address of a value onto the stack before you could do anything with it. It was nice because you could compile native assembler right in the middle of a Forth program. |

Then why post a phony one? Not a good way to establish credentials for honesty. |

You obviously missed the point. No one cares what your birthday or birthdate is. There is no requirement to enter anything into that box, it's a choice you made. You had several options: Leave the box blank; Just put in the month and day of your real birthday or; Post the real date of your birth or; Enter false data. I think it's telling, especially after your claims of seeking the truth, that you chose the final option. If you are dishonest on such an inconsequential matter, why should people believe you on other matters? There is a difference between putting "human" in the race box, because that is a true statement, to posting a false data. |
