Guy was mid-twenties and I was fifty-five at the time, I assaulted him?? City that put an old man in jail for self-defense is clear insane. In Nairobi the cops would have been apologizing for his puke getting on my shoes.

Elbow will never bend again, shattered the socket and ground it just a bit, that's why he puked. In New York if you're not a local, you ain't sh it! I found that out the hard way.

Upstate NY is nice if you can stand the weather. In my opinion all big cities suck so there isn't much of a difference between NYC and LA. |

They are both crowded and have traffic issues. NYC is an interesting place to visit. I was raised in LA so I know it's pluses and minuses. The Finger Lakes area of NY is truly beautiful.. Edited by campingken, Dec 8 2015, 11:11 AM.

I could move back to NY, but not out on the Island. Of course, I'd want enough money to buy a co-op across from Central Park and the chauffeur waiting for us at the curb. Let me hit a $50 million lottery and we'd have a small place for trips to the city. And a nice apartment on the Cours Mirabeau in Aix-en-Provence. But live there full time? Not hardly! |

ahh, the house that I grew up in was a part of a sanitarium. It was the only house remaining from Breezehurst Terrace. Oddly enough , it just listed for sale. Its a sign. |

Breezehurst Terrace? Which hospital was that? I know the 3 big institutions on the Island were Creedmore, Pilgrim State and Kings Park State. We used to drive through Kings Park State to the Nissiquogue River where my father kept his boat. Kings Park State was like the Marsten House in "Salem's Lot" to the kids who lived in the area. Used to get nightmares about ending up there and being one of the people you'd see through the windows who were leaning on the bars in straitjackets. It made an impression on 8 year old kids. |
