Just got back from the Fall caravan. Our Spring wagon master has had to back out due to being unable to get travel medical insurance due to a medication change. So its back again in early January to lead another one. My trailer is in Bakersfield having warranty repairs done, so I had to go back south anyway.

Can he or she not opt out of the portion of coverage
for the effected ailment?

She cannot get insurance to travel out of Canada.

This is the main reason that Canadian snow birds
stop traveling.

My friend stopped this year when his out of country
premiums hit five thousand bucks for ninety days!

It is a heart condition. The issue is transit through the US from Quebec, he has to get his RV across the uS. If he has something happen and ends up in a US hospital, he would be ruined.

Yes, he would indeed be ruined!

With all of its warts and wrinkles,
the Canadian health care system has never
bankrupted anyone!
