Detached Retinas

Had emergency operation Friday to reattach the retina in my left eye. I watched my vision in one eye to go near zero in 12 hours. Lucked out and found a Retina Specialist Group in Gulf Breeze Fl. They use lasers and cryogenics to attach the retina then inserted a gas bubble to press the retina to the eye wall. The downside is I have to keep my head down for a week to keep the bubble in the right place. I hate sleeping on my belly and my neck is killing me. Outer than this life is good. &30

Hope it all works out. I'd hate to start losing my eyesight. Do what the Doctor says. No cheating.

Glad you got it fixed, Thump. I'm waiting for my cataracts to get bad enough to require removal. Maybe in 2016.
