End Game Time: 2:47pm Date: 14.9.XX Location - Endless Chasm, 1F. The torrent of rain was relentless at the Endless Chasm, a rare occurrence. The Endless Chasm was surprisingly empty, perhaps they were taking shelter from the downpour. Water drops scattered across the floor as the pitter patter was the few sounds in the dead space. There was one lone figure walking in the rain, the broad shoulders made it easily identifiable as a man. With each step he took, there was a distinct splashing noise, and each step he took got him closer to the labyrinth opening. He stopped right before he entered. He took off his hood, showing brown spiky hair before turning around entirely, looking behind him. There was nothing, no one could be seen. "If I didn't know any better, you wanted to take a closer look." Chrys remarked aloud with a suggestive smirk. With arms spread, he let himself fall back into the dimensional tear. As if he were nothing air, he vanished within the labyrinth depths. From the shadows of group of cloaked men emerged, staring at the dimensional hole. One of them nodded. Just like that, they vanished as quickly as they appeared. Chrys landed into the dungeon on his feet, uncaring as he heard the sounds of other's hitting the ground. "Do we have to do this again, boys? This is getting so boring now." Chrys chuckled out as he pulled out a kunai from his side. They did not respond and fired a bolt of ice towards the former assassin, who simply deflected it away with his own ice ethos. "Fine then, if you want to play it that way... Let's hope you can get me excited." With that, Chrys charged right ahead, ready for a fight. |

Riksis was finally approaching his destination, a place called the endless chasm that was pretty dreary looking. It was dark, silent, there were no signs of life usually except the people who came to train and whatever inhabited the chasm if that even counted as life. It was a place of stillness, not death nor life was heavily apparent, more like everything just came to a standstill within nature and it slowly withered over time. The only thing that was natural was the hard rain coming down, matched with the natural darkness of the area, Riksis felt right at home for a bit, not having to worry about the sun or what time it was. It fit the description he got from the liberators he questioned, trying to get a lead on Oskar's whereabouts since he often did work with others. "Of all the places you'd go, you pick somewhere mysterious, endless and ominous," Riksis said to no one in particular while surveying the area. He could briefly spot someone else entering the chasm and was about to move before dropping low when a group of cloaked figures suddenly followed him in, spelling something sinister. Running up to the shift where the others entered, he wasn't too sure about going in at first but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Taking a running start, Riksis entered the labyrinth ready to fight whatever he had to. The first thing he got to fight after landing was pure luck as a stray ice projectile whizzed over his head as he ducked. Afterwards, Riksis observed the current situation, seeing how the other guy was outnumbered. A chance to save a fellow fighter in a pinch, nothing was more satisfying than being glorified and showing off. He'd already rushed into the thick of it, so Riksis took his distracting charge to flank one of the assailants lingering in the back. Halfway there, the caster spotted him and prepared a bolt of ice in his hand, throwing it at Riksis during his approach. Reacting with his own ethos, Riksis covered himself with his own shadow and quickly shifted out of the way with a roll, clouding his direction and throwing his target off track as his icy shot shattered on the now vacant space. By the time Riksis was in vision again and another bolt was prepared, they were already in melee range and the assailant had gotten ready to use the projectile as an improvised dagger. Riksis quickly rushed him down and touched his shadow covered hand to the ice user's arm. Trying to retaliate, the assailant was alerted that he had no movement in his right leg or arm, looking down and seeing a shadowy haze over them. Looking back towards Riksis, he saw a wink and a jabbing action on his thigh, before feeling an incredibly sharp pain in the same area. Before he could begin to recover, Riksis swept his legs, swiftly drawing his sword and making a quick cut across his chest while falling, and landing on his wound, driving the ice even deeper as he screamed in pain."One down!" he called out, keeping score between himself and the stranger he decided to save. |

"The hell..." Chrys muttered underneath his breath. Much to his surprise, yet slight dismay, someone had followed him in and now was fighting alongside him. Granted, he was doing pretty well against them but still, it wasn't exactly nice to know that someone was fighting against the Hashibami assassins. Still, this was his chance to get rid of them. How many were there... One, two...Four of them standing up. So that meant six executions to deliver. Fortunately for him, they had their attention sighted on the newcomer. This should be easy... As one assailant went down and the fellow fighter called out, Chrys took action. Enhancing his kunai with lightning, he took the first attack. Silent like the wind and as fast as lightning, he thrust his electric blade into the nearest target's back, earning a cry of pain. Immediately, the bartender discharged an immense of electricity through the victims body. There was no mercy in Chrys' emerald eyes as he forced shock waves of lightning down the person's back. He watched them convulsed violently, foam at the mouth, scream in agony before they fell to the ground limp. One. He pulled out his kunai and looked over at the group. Their attention was now focused almost completely on him. Instantly, Chrys sped over to his nearest enemy and wrapped his arm around their neck. Applying massives amount of pressure, he shut off their airways and shoved his electric kunai into the man's trachea. Gargles and retches were loud, clear and articulate as Chrys ploughed through the veins roughly. Bright red blood seeped through his Chrys' fingers while the sounds of choking quietened. Two. The brunet could hear rapid footsteps were approaching his left. With no hesitation, Chrys punted the dead body towards his life. The body rammed into the next man at top speed. The force was enough to cause him to be knocked over, the body still on topn of him. Chrys raised a hand as the victim struggled to get up. Click. He snapped his finger. Lightning exploded from the kunai, blowing up the head of the body and electrocuting the man underneath. Another loud scream. There was no delay in Chrys' movements. He leaped into the air and threw a kunai right into the next victim's head. It struck and lodged itself inside the man's skull. Three. Chrys chuckled as he turned around, leaving one more captor left. This shouldn't take long. Pulling out another kunai, he readied his stance. The last man did the same, pulling out a knife that had something coating it. It dripped onto the ground, revealing its green, acidic colour. It wasn't acid but it was definitely poison. He had to make sure to rid of it. Rushing over, Chrys made a quick slash to the right. There was a clash of metal and the two blades met, sparks flying as they met in a deadlock. Chrys gritted his teeth as they fought back and forth in this stalemate before the attack threw his arm to the right, breaking the clash. Spinning back, Chrys tossed his kunai into the man's hand. It connected and the man dropped his knife. Now was his chance. Running over, Chrys grabbed the man's head and violently threw him into the ground. The man arched his back in pain and didn't realise his attacker raised a pillar of ice. There was another chuckle before Chrys rushed him through the ground, running his head through the floor. Flesh was cut up and a few teeth were lost. To finish off, Chrys raised him by the head and smashed him through the pillar of ice. It shattered almost instantly, as the body flew over to the newcomer. "Here! Got a present for you! Finish him off!" Chrys yelled out. Edited by Chrys Haya, Nov 30 2017, 03:02 AM.

After calling out his mark and preparing to take on the rest of the group, before either party could engage each other the stranger Riksis had stepped in to assist was grabbing their attention quite violently. Movements that were difficult to follow that were matched with incredible force were dropping the others like flies, as they shifted their focus back to their original target. Riksis would've gone ahead and started attacking again but part of him didn't want to get caught in the crossfire of lightning, ice, and exploding knives even if he was primed for a fight. Partly for his own safety, and partly because it was like watching a show, entertaining through skillful finesse and lethal efficiency instead of comedy or story. It may not have involved any swordplay but the stranger's moves required their own levels of practiced dexterity and refined movements. So caught up in his observation, he was snapped to by a call out and an already maimed body coming towards him. Poor guy didn't stand a chance, a potential side effect of trying to assassinate people Riksis assumed. At first he was a little upset with the stranger's move, why throw the target at him while he clearly had him dead to rights? Like throwing a bone to a mutt, that cheeky... Riksis cut off his chain of thought with a small breath, it was getting him worked up when it was probably just the other guy being cooperative. Bringing his sword up and lining up where the last target was heading, Riksis infused his weapon with some of his shadow ethos, surrounding the blade in a blackish haze. Two cuts were made quickly, ragged strikes that were made swift by his shadows aid as the last assassin fell hit the ground with a death rattle and a thud, creating a small pool of crimson to lay in. Riksis let out a small whistle as the battle was finished, and only him and the stranger were standing. "Well, you certainly know how to hold your own. Guess you already know why they're after you since you didn't take one alive?" the shadow user asked as he wiped the blood off Katalysator as it returned to its normal state. The shine of it after a nice fight always worked better than cleaning it idly. Looking to see that the area was clear and all the hostiles were down for the count, Riksis admired both of the fighter's handiwork. Sheathing the now clean blade, Riksis faced the stranger and presented his hand. Be polite, be the nice one, check your temper if things don't work out Oskar's words for making nice with others rung in his head as he waited for the other to reciprocate the action. "Names Riksis Astora, you can thank me for helping you out now." He stated after a few moments of waiting, a smile on his face that had a small sign of being forced. |

The former assassin rolled his shoulder, green eyes watching the impressive swordsmanship coming from the stranger. Darkness Ethos, huh? Chrys thought to himself, as the man wiped the blood off his broadsword. A multi-purpose blade as well... At the very least, this man seemed skilled enough to take care of himself. Good, this meant that he didn't have to worry about looking after some rookie. The bartender took this opportunity to analyze the man and his physical traits. Tall, dark, handsome... A nice pretty face with equally pretty green eyes... Messy, yet somewhat charming orange hair and a nice build underneath the cloak. Chrys deduced that this man was very easy on the eyes. He had a rougish charm. It was enough to grab Chrys' attention at the very least. Perfect. The brunette let out a chuckle before ran fingers through his hair. From the way he talked, Chrys could see that this guy had an ego. Not a small one at that. It'd be best to stroke it for now if he wanted to be on good terms. After all, Riksis could be a nice distraction from all the work. Gripping Riksis' hand firmly in response. "Thanks for the assist Astora, I'm Chrys Haya. Pleasure to meet you." There was something of a half cocked yet flirtatious smile on Chrys' face as he let go. Resting his hand on his hip, Chrys took a look at the downed assassins. "You're pretty good you know that? These guys aren't the easiest to take down." Chrys commented feeling genuinely impressed by his new companion's abilities. After all, not anyone could take down a Hashibami assassin with such ease. "Speaking of which, there are more from where they came from, we shouldn't be staying in one spot." With that warning, Chrys slid a kunai back into it's sheath and started to walk aimlessly, hopefully he would reach the next floor if he kept walking. "So Astora, tell me. What are you doing all the way there?" He asked as he continued to wander. "Its not everyday a cute guy comes in and helps you out in the Giant Chasm after all." The bartender added on with a wink. |

The newly met acquaintance-- who introduced himself as Chrys-- seemed pretty relaxed for someone who had just gotten through with an assassination attempt. It was like he was used to it or had already been a few steps ahead. They looked the part of someone who was sly, cunning and always had a plan. Riksis was by no means paranoid, but it was just common sense to keep a close eye on people like this. Left unchecked, you could wind up missing, have your wallet stolen, or be manipulated if you weren't careful. Something about his piercing green eyes spelled a whole lot of trouble, and Riksis was ready to get not so chummy with this stranger after their niceties. "You're pretty good you know that?" And like that, all caution in the fighter was thrown out of the window and replaced with a beaming sense of pride and a small, smug expression plastered on his face. "Yeah, I'm pretty great at what I do. Years of practice, the determination in everything I do, It's all paid off as you can see." Riksis said proudly as he nodded his head in confirmation. Most negative thoughts of his ally were now replaced by an image of an equally skilled fighter who knew to give credit where it was due. Respectable, yet not on par with Riksis, not in a direct confrontation at least, for each had different strengths and weaknesses. Definitely someone worth putting effort into keeping around, useful people were valuable allies and having more people than his gun-obsessed childhood friend who was probably a kleptomaniac would help in the future. But beyond his uses, Chrys seemed to have a pretty muddy history of their own. "Speaking of those friends of yours, any specific reason why they're after you? Owe em some cash? Bad blood?" Riksis asked as the two began to wander the chasm, a pretty bland area but there was always a way to progress, for better or worse. Chrys wanted some answers of his own, which was pretty fair. He thought about giving a phony story, but there wasn't anything to be lost by giving his true intentions. "I'm in the area looking for someone, brother of mine. The last person I asked said he was here about a month ago, figured If I was to start looking it'd be here." He responded truthfully as he caught the next sentence from Chrys that was given with a wink The statement hit his brain like a brick, as Riksis processed it for a good few seconds while squinting his eyes a bit. "Wouldn't say cute. Handsome, Dashing, Cunning, Brave, hell I'd take cantankerous on a good day just because someone put enough effort into the word. But not cute, I'm well above that I'd say." He stated while listing off the adjectives on his fingers, making a mental note on Chrys that he had some flirtatious tendencies. He wasn't against forming some connections with people, but this tendency of his could prove to be distracting if not an impasse between the two. |

Success. Chrys thought to himself as his newest acquaintance's expression changed from cautious to smug pride. It was far too easy to get in Riksis' good book, egotistical men were simple like that. From what Chrys could tell, a man with such an ego would be easily swayed with a few compliments. Still, Chrys had to admit, Riksis wasn't half bad. A charming smile, a good sense of humour and confidence. All in all, a good package for any man. The bartender concluded that Riksis probably had some girl lining up for him somewhere. Riksis explained that he was looking for his missing brother, with the last report stating that said brother was last seen in the Endless Chasm. Interesting, so he's looking for a missing sibling. Chrys thought to himself. It also seemed like his little flirtatious remark may have done something. Judging from the narrowing of eyes, Chrys concluded that it had to do something with not wanting to deal with flirts. Or in other words, Riksis was wearing a chastity belt. Well, that was no fun. Hopefully, Chrys would be able to take that belt off by the end of this encounter. The orange haired man continued his little ramblings about all the things he was, such as cunning and dashing, which earned Riksis a chuckle out of Chrys. "Right, right. Sorry about that, how about I call you something else instead? Hm... How about Handsome?" The bartender remarked with the same flirtatious playfulness strung into the words. "Anyways, as for me and those guys... I'd say we're playing a game. If I get caught by them, I lose. I escape and beat them all, then I win." Chrys explained in a manner that was far too casual before continuing with a much more darker undertone in his words, "But if I lose, I'll go back to being a puppet for my family with my freedom taken away." As quickly as it came, the seriousness that was present vanished as Chrys suggested, "Enough about all that, we should find the next floor." Placing his hands behind his head, Chrys turned his spiky head left and right, scanning to find the exit to the next floor. There were rocks, rocks, some dead trees, rocks and more... Hold on... Off into the distance, perhaps only a few hundred metres north was a large pillar of light in the dead land. "Ah, there it is." Chrys began walking forward in the direction of the light before stopping mid step. Turning around, Chrys cocked his head to the side with a welcoming yet all too familiar flirtatious smile. "Oh right, you wanna accompany me down into the depths of the Endless Chasm, Handsome? I don't think your brother would be on the first floor of this place after all." Placing a hand on his hip, the brunette ran a hand through his spiky hair, strands falling through his knuckles. "So, what do you say? Up for a little fun, Handsome?" |

It probably should've concerned Riksis how much the new person was throwing compliments at him but it was his one weakness barring strong sources of light, not that he'd admit it. Even if Chrys had ulterior motives or less than good intentions, it was nice to be appreciated by peers or anyone for that matter. Praise and compliment were in short supply from his family and he wasn't exactly the people person, so anytime someone as skilled as himself complimented him, it went straight to his head. Riksis listened on while Chrys explained his dilemma, turning out to have family troubles of his own. Seems like everybody had their own problems when it came to blood relations these days. "I can kinda relate, except my family isn't trying to kill me- well they wouldn't send assassins after me at least," Riksis stated, thinking his own situation through in his head. "They're more of the hands-on approach, do it yourself type." He clarified to Chrys with a nonchalant tone that lacked any trace of seriousness, making it sound like a friendly sport more than a family feud. It was a habit of his, making light of situations by not taking them as seriously as they should be. Riksis decided to not try to further the topic as Chrys brought up finding the next floor, reminding the two of their objective. "I don't have much else to do but search and we'll go further together. Besides, this place is rather dull and good company is appreciated." Riksis replied as he followed Chrys towards the pillar that marked the exit to the next floor. As the two made their way, Riksis began to think about the assassins from earlier and how Chrys mentioned he was running. "Since you're helping me I might as well return the favor if possible, and a favor from the Riksis Astora is pretty valuable," Riksis said with confidence, boosting his own ego with a small nod. "So if you need help routing those vermin again you can depend on me." Riksis finished his boasting with a promise of protection to his new ally. |

There was an amused, if not, somewhat touched chuckle coming from Chrys. To be told that someone would be willing to help him against the assassins was rather nice. Well, he didn't need the help but having someone around was never a bad thing. Even for all his arrogance and overconfidence, Riksis was a nice guy. "Right right, thank you for that." Chrys bumped his fist onto Riksis' chest, "And I'll make sure that not a scratch lands on that handsome face of yours," He returned the delcaration of protection and turned his head to the light in the distance. "Right, let's go." Continuing his rather casual stroll, it seemed like Chrys had no worries in the world. Judging from the cocked smile, the light bounce in his step and oh so nonchalant rolling of his shoulder, it was pretty damn obvious that the brunette just didn't seem to care about the dangers lurking around. Probably a testament to his own confidence. Only a couple of minutes past before the large pillar of light was right in front of the duo. Chrys couldn't really describe it as anything but.... bright, well, that didn't mean much in a labyrinth full of dreary darkness. There was a feeling of... holiness. As if it were a guide from the heavens. Regardless, it was probably his ticket to the next floor. "Alright, let's do this." Pulling out a kunai from his side pouch and holding onto it tight, Chrys took a step forward into the light, letting his body be enveloped by the heavenly brightness. "See you on the other side handsome." With a seductive wink, any traces of the brunette vanished. Location: Endless Chasm, 2F. It happened so suddenly. One second he was standing, the next he was falling down from the sky. Not only that, the only thing down there in the murky darkness. Almost pitch black... "Motherf..." Chrys muttered under his breath, trying to search for a landing point that was safe. Dammit! He couldn't see anywhere. Great, now he had fly too. There was a grunt before Chrys turned himself into bright, azure lightning. Shit! Was Riksis going to be okay? With that, Chrys looked behind and above, trying to find his new companion. Hopefully, he hadn't fallen down below and to his death. |

Some more banter flowed between the two, vows of protection and whatnot, whatever passed the time until the two reached their destination. Riksis rubbed his chin after Chrys' comment on his handsome face, pondering. "I dunno, feel like I'd look a lot better with a few badass scars. But not like, the ugly kind, the "I'm the best swordsman this side of the country" kind." He said, nodding his head as he stoked his own ego and ambition. To others, it would sound like a run of the mill mercenary trying to sell himself but to Riksis, he was speaking fact and gospel. Eventually, the pillar of light came closer and closer until the two had reached it. It didn't seem as intense from far away, but up close it was causing him to wince and instinctively try to cover his face. The only thing that held him was his pride in not exposing his main weakness to Chrys, who would more than likely have a laugh at such a mundane flaw. Once the Brunette was gone, Riksis sighed and turned his back to the pillar, lessening the effect it had as he drew his sword. Taking a few steps back to be enveloped by the light, he closed his eyes and hoped for the best. Eventually, the brightness faded. Endless Chasm, Floor 2 The first thing that greeted Riksis was darkness, a comfortable feeling that he'd gladly accept. The next was...high windspeed? He went to turn and investigate but found not only his feet, but his whole body wasn't grounded and he was indeed falling. "oh" was the simple response he gave, fully assessing the situation. It took a few seconds before his 'oh' became an "Oh shit." The earlier boastful pride that held him was no longer present, making way for a hearty scream as the swordsman plummeted less than gracefully towards the floor. To slow his fall, Riksis spread out his limbs to increase surface area but the ground, whatever he could make out of it, was getting pretty close. Suddenly, a bright spark flared in the dark, with a human figure in it that he assumed could only be Chrys. He'd make a snide remark along the lines of "ooh look at me, I can fly" if it weren't for the situation in which flight would keep him from death. He was a fair distance above but rapidly descending, so Riksis swallowed his pride, nearly choking and dying on it, and started to call out gracefully to his companion. "ᶜʰʳʸˢ ᶜʰʳʸˢ ᶜʰʳʸˢ Chrys CHRYS HELP" was what he yelled out as he passed by on his fall, missing his attempt to grab on to him. |
