Hello and welcome to the Project White Rain's Forums. Being a forum dedicated to gaming, obviously the main goal is to provide a laid back and fun atmosphere to chat about the PSP and gaming in general - or any number of other topics to be found in the vast array of community forums. That said, however, there are a few rules and expectations to keep the place running in a smooth and (hopefully) user-friendly manner. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with these basic rules:

• No pornography (linking to or directly posting any media containing nudity or sex)
• No warez/piracy/copyright files (linking to, requesting or discussion of illegally obtaining copyrighted material). Direct linking via PM is also not allowed.

Our ISO branch of Cube-Net; ISO-Cube.com may be able to help you find certain files you may be looking for. Direct linking to warez/piracy/copyright files/etc on ISO-Cube.com is also prohibited.

• No advertising (a link in your sig is fine, but posting a topic about your site or PM'ing members with links to your site is not). Referall links of any nature also fall under this category. Consequences for Advertising without staff permission will be a ban depending on how bad the offense was. This includes Private Messages. We currently have filters on all outbound PM's and rule breakers will be dealt with. There is a big difference between posting a link to help/support a member and posting a link in hopes of gaining traffic. Forum staff will do its best to distinguish between the two.

• Degredation (Antagonistic, slanderous, racist, or sexist comments will not be tolerated). Flaming is allowed but only in "reasonable amounts." If you persistantly flame members we will single you out.
• No 'ripping' (stealing other people's work and claiming it as your own; be it sig images or game mods)
• Code Creation: Game Hacking is a large part of this forum. When posting a code, be sure to post credit. Credit is essentially a note of who was the original creator of the code. If you do not know who created the code, be sure to add that you do not know, as some members presume that no credit posted means you take ownership of the code(s) posted. If you did create the code, be sure to say so!
• Signatures must be of a reasonable size. Size and length limits are in place meaning if your sig displays it is probably okay. This does not mean it cannot be edited/deleted if necessary.
• No impersonating forum staff, or other members. In other words, no making fake accounts with other people's names. Using vbPlaza to impersonate other users falls under this category as well.
• You may have up to ONE additional account created by you for use on the forum. If more are found by you, all duplicate accounts may be deleted. If you are banned from the forum, the ban will be placed on all additional accounts as well. Depending on the severity, they may be deleted.
• This forum is a PG-13 and below environment. Please post accordingly.
• Admin, moderators, and other site staff have priority, and must be respected accordingly.
• Check back periodically for updates with the rules and guidelines.
• **Our ISO Policy was changed on 6/26/2007. Please see the appropriate post in the Rules SubForum for more information.

Remember, you are a guest on a free service. Our moderators and admins reserve the right to remove you from the forums at any time for any reason. We will post reasons for our actions as we see fit. You have no rights and may make no demands. This is not debatable.

Breaking these simple rules might naturally result in locked or deleted topics and/or a message from a moderator asking you to cool it. Repeated violation of the rules and ignoring requests to stop may end with temporary suspensions of posting rights, or banning if need be. The whole point of the rules and the moderators isn't to provide strictness for its own sake, as the forum staff is just as interested as having fun here as anyone else. But with many members, and few staff some degree of civility is needed to keep it enjoyable for all.

For the most part, just use some common sense while posting, and all will be fine. Like any other forum on the internet, there are of course unspoken 'rules' of etiquette regarding spamming (off topic, short, or otherwise pointless posts), flaming, and whatnot. While such things are not generally enforced on a regular basis, administrative/moderatory action may be taken if such posts become problematic or habitual, thereby causing complaints from other members. It might also be worth mentioning here that doing anything which might be illegal in the real world is also frowned upon here. This could include anything from selling your services as a contract killer or selling black-market babies, to posting other people's private information against their will. Things of this nature are really too numerous to list, and again, fall into the realm of common sense.

Now that that is done, go out and have a great time!
