Christendom might quite reasonably have been alarmed if it had not been attacked. But as a matter of history it had been attacked. The Crusader would have been quite justified in suspecting the Moslem even if the Moslem had merely been a new stranger; but as a matter of history he was already an old enemy. The critic of the Crusade talks as if it had sought out some inoffensive tribe or temple in the interior of Thibet, which was never discovered until it was invaded. They seem entirely to forget that long before the Crusaders had dreamed of riding to Jerusalem, the Moslems had almost ridden into Paris.

Well first off, the gay thing was in no way bad. I mean, I guess normally people assume it's a bad thing for someone to think it, but I thought it for good reasons. You're sweet, and you seem really in touch with art, music, and well... feelings, lol. You're probably like "wtf", but I think you'd be surprised how hard it is to find a guy like that. So... yeah.

Apollyon nor Ishta had ever seen a potion with such an effect. They were shocked. Celine could still see him, however, his outline in the rain, and only hoped that Ishta wouldnt notice. Dropping the book she rushed to Kalli's side to undo her bonds, but she pulled her hands back quickly. She was afraid to touch the girl. She covered her mouth with a hand. She looked so much worse close up.

Ishta looked around frantically. "You bastard! Using cheap tricks! Is that the only way you can defeat me?!" Nearby, Celine still couldnt bring herself to touch Kalli's body, but looked to Cyan instead. "Cyan, what are you waiting for?! Kill him! He's trapped and weak! Do it now!"

Cyan looked unsure. He had never really killed before with his own two hands. Then he looked back to his mommy and swung the ax hard.
"Cheap tricks?" Ashton asked running him through. "Like the same ones you yourself are infamous for?" He pushed the blade in up to the hilt before jerking it out again.

Cyan's blow cleanly loped off Apollyon's head, and Celine shut her eyes as it rolled passed her.
Ishta inhaled sharply. He woulndt last much longer like this. He would have to make a retreat until another day. He turned and began to run.

Celine had replaced the hand back to her mouth, for fear of an emotional breakdown. She still hadnt managed to make herself touch Kalli's body. It looked too broken, thinking that if she touched it, it would break even more.

Celine, then felt something cold on her shoulder, through her skin. She knew it wasnt the rain, but what? She then remembered the dagger, her eyes wide, looking over her shoulder. "Kalli...?"

Celine paused for a moment. She then took Ashton's cloak from around him and wrapped it around Kalli's body. "It would be rude to expose her like that.", she explained, before walking on.

So... yeah.

Celine patted his head. "Its alright, Cyan. We're going to do everything we can to help her." Celine did have a remarkable knack for getting a feel for what people were thinking.

Sooner than they had expected, they arrived at Yulgar's inne again. They would need to rest again before making the journey back to the Dracomancer, or else they would lose little Cyan.

So... yeah.

Nephitys materialized out of her glowing golded light as she did usually, though she was sitting on the bed, stroking Cyan's head. "The Book of Life, dear?", she questioned.

He rubbed his eyes. How long has it been since I had a full night dreamless sleep anyway... "Yes, the book of life... I need it... Kalli..."

She nodded. "Needs the book to return to you. I'm not sure what I can do for you there, but I shall try. A woman twice dead will be hard to fight for. But I shall do my all. After all, the owner is my own father."

Kalli had never sang to anyone but herself before, but tried it, just this once. It was an Egyptian lullaby she'd never remembered hearing before, but knew by heart.

He took the cold pitcher in his hands and hesitated. Now, this would be very very mean... He grinned.

So... yeah.

Cyan put a fingertip to it, making the water even more frigid. He grinned. They were inviting his aunt into the prank feud.

Celine shrieked, from the cold and the water both, swearing in various different languages. Standing up, she looked now more like a drowned rat. Then she spotted the pitcher still in her brother's hands. "You."

Kalli wondered outside, Celine letting herself laugh as she lovingly pummeled Ashton, much to Cyan's amusement. Kalli was jealous. She hadnt had moments with her family like that in a while. It made her extremely jealous, and a bit angry. What gave Celine the right to take over while she was gone.

She felt restless, so she got up and moved again. She felt the need to wonder, to be someplace else, yet she didnt know where exactly. The need clogged her sense as she left BattleOn, heading south. Thus is the cursed life of a wondering soul.
