After a considerable time of planning, we finally have a guide you can reference for players who desire the Puppet Technique. Though it may be subject to change, this is as solid as it can get. The use of puppets, just like in the series, is being treated like a fighting style. To progress, you'll need a certain amount of skillcards (2 for T2, 10 for T3) to be considered for the next tier of the profession. You'll also need to be D+ with the specific requirements listed at the end to acquire the first tier of puppetry, along with a free puppet to begin with. If you want a card that symbolizes your particular style, however, that can be made and given upon buying the specific tier. Any additional puppets will cost ryo. The cost may vary depending on the type of puppet you seek, but will never be excessive. The puppets built also have points that, depending on your level of skill, can be used to purchase the cores of the weapon. Puppets will have Strength, Speed, Durability, and Dexterity as cores. Dexterity is the only stat shared between it and the user. You can only buy Strength, Durability, and Speed with said points, with each one counting towards a perk. See:
For example, say you're a Puppeteer Novice. Your very first puppet has four points to allocate. If you put one towards Strength, Speed, and Durability, that puppet now has the T1 core for all three of those. With that lasting point, you can raise one stat, let's say Strength, to T2. If you choose not to place a point in a stat, it will be T0 for all intents and purposes. Easy, right? Furthermore, upgrades to the puppets such as attacks, rockets, kunai launchers, traps and other mechanisms are to be made through skillcards. These count towards your skillcards necessary for the next available tier. (T1) Puppeteer Novice: This shinobi has finished basic tutelage of puppeteering. They are able to apply their knowledge through the strategic use of a single puppet, yet it is ultimately simple in combat application. They enable themselves to create styles and skills that revolve around this profession. Note: Requires T1 CC and Chakra Threads. Strength, Speed, and Durability are built into the puppet. Dexterity is shared between the puppet and user. (T2) Puppeteer Adept: This person has become proficient in the use of puppets. They can implement a greater array of ninja weaponry into their performance, such as traps and hidden weapons, and are able to do so with up to two separate puppets. Note: T2 Puppeteering; requires T1 Puppeteering, T2 CC and Chakra Threads. (T3) Master Puppeteer: This ninja's sublime art has reached the absolute apex. After much temperment, they have achieved a level of puppet manipulation that few others would see in a given life time; they are able to control a puppet with one skillfully placed string at a time, and are prodigious enough to use several different puppets - or, perhaps, a larger mechanism that matches the grandeur of their creative technique. Note: T3 Puppeteering; requires T3 CC, T2 Puppeteering, and Chakra Threads. |
