On The Founding
The Realm of [region]Elysia[/region] was founded on December 14th, 2016 by the nation of [nation]Vornix[/nation], a subsidiary nation owned by [nation]King Tabriz[/nation], the founder of the [region]Sovereign Imperial Realms[/region] and the alliance that bears its name. [region]Elysia[/region] was designed and intended to become the second of a six region alliance with a strong focus on foreign affairs. Recruitment through telegram stamps began on December 23rd, 2016. King Tabriz celebrated the official launch of recruitment efforts in Elysia with this inaugural post on the Elysia Regional Message Board:

The Foundation

We have done it! We have build a foundation. When workers construct skyscrapers, nearly half of that time is spent below the surface, pouring the piles deep into the bedrock, building up layer by layer a foundation that can support the behemoth above. And so we arrive at that point where we are about to crest the surface of the ground. There is much work to do but we have our start.

The Sovereign Imperial Realms was founded on NationStates on December 14th, 2016 after months of work. Today, December 23rd, I would like to announce the opening of this Realm and all the others that it may stand tall and strong in this world.

In the coming hours, I shall commission the start of a recruitment drive to fill our realms with qualified nations who can carry out our great work.

With this, may the greatest Kingdom in the history of NationStates thrive into its destiny.

Eternally in your service,

His Majesty
[nation]King Tabriz[/nation]

The recruitment telegram for [region]Elysia[/region] was initially seen as highly effective. It attached the very first resident of [region]Elysia[/region], [nation]Ezaro[/nation] who played a significant tole in early development of the realm. The Recruitment advertisement was as follows:

[region]Elysia[/region] Awaits You!

New government, new opportunity. [region]Elysia[/region] seeks friendly relations with all the regions in the world. We welcome all nations and we want you to succeed!

Imagine a world more united, more friendly and more informed! You can do that and more with Elysia. Diplomats, curious nations, writers, and socal nations are going to love your new home here.

Early Residents
Population in Elysia grew more rapidly than every other realm, Making Elysia the largest realm in the Kingdom continously every day since it's founding until it was finally surpassed by the realm of [region]Machina[/region] on January 6th, 2017. During this initial growth, Elysia often held between 30% and 50% more nations than the slower-growing realms. This population achievement lead to early achievements in the realms development.

The first resident, [nation]Ezaro[/nation] joined [region]Elysia[/region] on December 23rd, 2016 and became the first citizen of the Sovereign Imperial Realms, after King Tabriz, and drafted and published the Oath of Allegiance and became the first resident to sign it. [nation]Ezaro[/nation] made the early claim that I'm sure that together we will bring this region to it's rightful pedestal in history. and this came to pass.

Early battles for the World Assembly Delegate were rampant in [region]Elysia[/region]. The nation of [nation]Ezaro[/nation] was the first to hold the Delegacy, lost it and won it back, before losing it a second time to [nation]Islantalis[/nation]. When [nation]Islantalis[/nation] went on to eject the nation of [nation]Glaciosia[/nation] over accusations that [nation]Glaciosia[/nation] had reported [nation]Islantalis[/nation] for NationStates rules violations on having multiple World Assembly Nations, [nation]Islantalis[/nation] ejected and banned [nation]Glaciosia[/nation] from [region]Elysia[/region]. This issue was resolved with a clarification of the rules, and [nation]Islantalis[/nation] moving to The Realm of [region]Soterya[/region]. [nation]Glaciosia[/nation] would be elected to the Delegacy and maintain it thereafter.

Drafting the Habitus

With the Delegacy issues resolved, attention turned to establishing the Habitus of Elysia, it's legal constitution. The initial draft was written by [nation]Glaciosia [/nation] on January 2nd, 2017 and was fleshed out by [nation]Ezaro[/nation]. A small convention took place with major edits and revisions being conducted by [nation]Ezaro[/nation] and [nation]Glaciosia[/nation]. On January 6th, polls opened on the forums to enact the new Habitus. With voting lasting for 24 hours, four residents voted: [nation]Liberipsum[/nation], [nation]Glaciosia[/nation], and [nation]King Tabriz[/nation].
