This thread should be for the discussion of the maps of the Realms and surrounding area. This could support map-based SIR RPs and the like.

Things to consider are:

  • 1 - Shapes
What are the shapes of the Realms? In order to link them together, we need shapes, and standard ones are boring. They could represent how the realms work, and are crucial in developing non-Realm regions of the map, if there are gaps between the Realms due to non-tesselating designs.

    2 - Location
Relative to each other. These could reflect the relationships between the Realms, amongst other things, and would most likely be interlinked with shape.

3 - Topography and other surroundings
These would affect the Realms, and so would need to be considered carefully so as to truly reflect how the different Realms behave.

    4 - Landmarks
High castles? Major roads? King's courts? Peaceful colonies? These should reflect the sections of the forums, and totally be awesome.
A wildermess can always be interesting, and provide a place to temporarily banish people.

    5 - Other
Era, look, details, and the like. These are important, but individual and so fall under the category of "Other", meaning "Kiebe has run out of things to say"

That should be it, so I bid thee farewell!

Is that the normal world, but split into its smaller fragments, e.g. British constituencies?

Anyway, I think we can swiftly get underway with our individual nation maps.
These should include the capital city and an optional side map of just the capital.

We should have some rules.
Ehh, things like that e.g. restrictions, suck the fun out of it. Making maps for the sake of awesomeness is a much better idea, I feel.

all regions must be mapped at full detail - from the smallest province to the overall limits of the Regions

my country - Bull -a is a big country with more than 70 million people, some of them they came after colonization Brazilistan (after a successful war). The country has huge mansions that can be reached with great railroad transport. Slavery - or rather, wage labor for a fee - is not something unknown in these parts, the industry earns more than well in light labor and the economy is the strongest. Bull - A ranks first in wind elektrotsenetrali in the area, and is the leading country in eco-tourism. Trains stop at every stop and you can easily enjoy the wonderful sight of them. Fear has a highly developed crop, while the mining industry is less affected by her earn some money. Bull - A very exported beef and cheese - something more - business in the country is the first place in subsidies in the region, and Maxtopiya embargo, imports from foreign countries is highly ograchen such exception is allowed for defense. At the moment the army of Bull-a small, but very effective with excellent logistics.

This sounds like an excellent, thought-through description of your country. There's nothing to stop you from mapping out some sections, and I entirely agree on OTT cartography.

how to make the process of mapping?

1. Get or make map outline.
2. Plan where you're going to put your stuff.
3. Put little symbols for your stuff on the map.
4. Label the symbols or provide a key.
5. Add extra details, e.g. roads

You may find the map is too large in size to put on the forums. In this case, put it elsewhere and link.

I do not know why so wrong?
here is another link, but must then click-and to wait a bit, first a general view of the information about the Balkan wars and only then appears on the particular card. In the case of my country is the site of Bulgaria and the conquered territories.

Yes, an orange territory bt the light orange color of the Aegean Sea,to the Danube (purple is Romania)- is my territory. I'm sorry that I've hamper, I tried to find links English, but do not work? The territory covers Mizia and Thrace found in Bulgaria in 1913.

P.S.if you click on Wikipedia topic "Balkan War" and the events accurately to April 1913 are likely to find the same card in English or similar. I did not find out how you let a working link
