Undercover investigators slipped a radioactive substance – enough, they say, to make two dirty bombs – across northern and southern U.S. borders last year in a test of security at American ports of entry. Radiation detection equipment at the unidentified sites went off, but the investigators were permitted to enter the United States after using counterfeit documents to deceive customs agents. To test security at U.S. borders with Mexico and Canada, GAO investigators represented themselves as employees of a fake company. They presented counterfeit shipping papers and NRC documents that allegedly permitted them to receive, acquire, possess and transfer radioactive substances. Investigators found that customs agents weren’t able to check whether a person caught with radioactive materials was permitted to possess the materials under a government-issued license. Link |

If I had to rate the guy as president on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being worst and 10 being best), I'd have to see 'ol Dubya's hovering somewhere around 3 in my book. |

I'm really disgusted with the way the country is falling apart, too. |

It's not the country, really. It's just Bush and current administration who, apparently, are trying to push the edge of the envelope about as far as it will go, and then they try to re-design it to fit their needs. Then, when someone calls them on it, they pull the "You just aren't seeing the whole picture" when they, themselves are the ones who are intentionally ignoring HUGE parts of that picture--this ensures that they remain ignorant of all the facts, making it possible to make piss-poor decisions based on only the "facts" they want to hear and claim it was the best course of action given the intelligence they had at the time. It's really starting to piss me off! |

I certainly don't blame the majority of americans (cept for voting the fucker and his corrupt mates in the 1st place). Most that I've had deallings with have been pretty good people. Its the frigging lobby groups that are given the president's ear all the time at the expense of ppl that actually know what they are talking about. Bush has surrounded himself with pathetic 'yes' men who share his views on EVERYTHING, or are given their opinions by Cheney and co. Its very sad that a country/nation that could be a bringer of good and positive things to the world has been hijacked by the current thieves and is being used as a force of pure evil for the sake of profit at any cost. |

Well you can't really do much in a 2-party system if all the candidates put forward are furry-kneed political timersevers in for their own profit and not that of the country they supposedly represent! Having said that though, its difficult to immagine Gore or Kerry fucking up things as much as Bush has done! I quite liked Al Gore, how could you not help but like someone who is prepared to provide his voice to a cartoon caracture of himself (Futurama, his daughter was one of the directors) |

I don't like Kerry or Gore, either. In fact, I think they would have done a worse job in office. |

I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be anything left for terrorists to blow up over here and we'd all be Mexican by now if the Democrats were in office. |

Seriously, Kerry probably wouldn't do anything at all, except sit there and take care of menial shit. Which would not have the negative effects Bush has made. Gore on the other hand, probably would make shit happen, but good shit, not unconstitutional bullshit like Bush. |
