School girl disciplined for not wearing her jacket on the hottest day of the year! A mother has branded her daughter’s school “mad” after she was disciplined for going to school without a blazer on the hottest day of the year. Fifteen-year-old Aimee Dickson, of Armthorpe, Doncaster, was told to go home and collect her blazer by her headmaster at Armthorpe Comprehensive. Mum Dawn Dickson said her daughter rang shortly after school began to say she was being sent home to get her blazer. Mrs Dickson said her husband had to take his daughter’s blazer into school. He spoke to the headmaster who said it was school policy for pupils to carry their blazers at all times. Mrs Dickson said: “He said if they feel it gets too hot they can ask permission to take their blazers off, but they must carry or wear them at all times. LINK (make sure you're wearing your blazer though) |

What's wrong with bringing it in and just carrying it? Or asking to carry it. The school has rules and she gotta obey them. Simple as that. |

A school has to keep a certain image. I am guessing this is an independant school. All pupils should be the same. If one girl leaves her blazer at home cause she is too fucking lazy to carry it, then everyone will leave their blazers at home and before you know it they will be wearing anything they want. My school was so strict that if your socks weren't grey you would get in trouble. Or if your top button wasn't done up you would get 50 lines. You all keep going on about how kids these days aren't disciplined. But when they get punished you lot start moaning as well  |

When I was in high school we had a dress code to follow. It was followed without exception irregardless of the weather. The same thing held true in grade school. The difference was we didn't have air conditioners then. |

When I was in high school, there was a girl who really caused a heap of propbs for the rulemakers by insisting that she should be alowed to wear pants like all the guys did. And from memory, some guy in the US made a similar statement by wearing a skirt to school. Nobody is saying that uniforms shouldn't be worn, just that these rule nazis should get their heads out of their asses and realise that they have gone too far. If its hot, why the hell should I not be alowed to remove my blazer, if its wet, should I also be forced to NOT put on a raincoat/spray jacket? Lets see the school get sued when the first student comes down with pneumonia because they aren't alowed to cover their fucking blazer with a raincoat! Don't get me wrong, school uniforms are a good idea, stops a lot of bullying coz kids can't afford the latest fashions, makes ID'ing shoplifters etc easier, cuts down on people skipping classes to go shopping, but I wonder if the teachers have such a strict dresscode as the students do. |
