Birthday was Friday and pressure washed 2 garage parking for 12 hrs. and 8 hrs. on Saturday. Honey got me more pissed off than I had thought possible and finally cooled down on Sunday. Nothing sweet in the house, so I found a chocolate cake mix. Got her big ass mixer with bowl and followed the directions. 3 eggs, stick of soften butter, and 1 cup of water and set the mixer on low. Open the cake mix box and cut the plastic bag inside a couple of inches. Start adding the powder by tapping the box on the mixing bowl, but apparently tapped to hard and the bag slipped out of the box and was added to the mix. I reached for the lever to turn it off, but turned it on high and the shit went everywhere. Finally turned it off and looked in the bowl and emptied the bags remaining content into what remained of the 3 eggs, butter, and water. Give a few stirs with a spatchula...look around the room and try to gage how much is missing. There are little blobs of chocolate powdered butter with a bit of egg everywhere or did I say that. So...fuck it...I'm gonna make this work and throw in 1/3 stick of butter and 1 egg Mix it together and pour it in an oversized pan and shove it in the oven. While I'm waiting and anticipating chocolate cake smothered with frosting, I start cleaning up the kitchen and the few odd dishes. Cleaning the last glass when it slips out of my hand and breaks on the procelian sink and rips a 1 inch gash deep in my pinky [no that's not what I call my cock]. So I wrap it with paper towels and go looking for bandaids upstairs and settled for duck tape with Honey's make-up removal pads. How long was that cake suppose to bake. I hear from the bedroom, "What are you cooking, somethings burning!" I fly down the stairs and open the oven...smoke...cajun cake. Not to be denied, I cut out the center and baste it frosting and a little blood. I should have just frosted a piece of toast and been done with it Today we stopped at the grocery and I bought a chocolate cake |
