Epic Dead Guy
you;

name; Naminé, yo.

contact information; PM, on Skype at the link in my profile, or on Facebook if you ask for it.

other characters; The memory witch herself.

basics;

name; Sota Honjo

age; 22

occupation; Barber and former dead guy

race; Human

in depth;

appearance; Seems to perfectly match his girlfriend, Nao. (They were, like, ummmm...meant to be together!) He's fairly tall with a tanned complexion and possibly dyed blonde hair pulled back into a loose ponytail. Just to make this look even weirder, he also has grey eyes. Shaded sunglasses that he may or may not ever use perch atop his head. His black jacket is opened up to reveal a tight white and black striped shirt underneath it. (And yes, fangirls, his stomach is showing.) Sota's tight blue ripped jeans are held in place by a belt with a large decorated silver buckle. And of course, he's from Shibuya, practically the fashion capitol of, well, everywhere, so he's gotta have accessories. In fact, he has two earrings in his left ear, two silver necklaces of varying length, a grey-ish armband-ish thing, and a silver wristwatch.

(He's the one on the right, obviously.)

personality; What you see is what you get for this guy. He's a pretty big punk, though he hasn't gotten into much trouble for a while. He's totally chill. Seriously. No matter what you do, it probably won't bother him. (Unless you touch his Nao-Nao. ...Don't touch his Nao-Nao.) Despite however much of a jerk his appearance might state him to be, he's actually exceedingly nice to everyone. Even strangers will see the extent of Sota's kindness. It's this combination of traits that makes him the sort of person that all the tween boys in the alleys look up to. He also has a sort of hero complex going on. If you're in danger, Sota has to save you. And if he doesn't, it falls on his shoulders. Fortunately, this died down a little during the Reaper's Game when he realized there are some things you just can't do alone. Oh, and he's highly protective of his girlfriend Nao. If you touch her. He. Will. Kill. You.

history;
As far as things go, Sota had a fairly normal life. Keeping up with the latest trends, maintaining a relationship with his perfect girlfriend who would flirt with other guys every chance she got just to tick him off...things really did seem pretty good. And then he had to get himself killed. Even Sota himself doesn't really remember much of how he died. It's like he tried to block it out of his memory altogether. All he really remembers are guns...and blood. Lots of blood, splattered all over the sidewalk and the graffiti-covered walls. And it may have been his imagination, but he swears that in his very last seconds of life, he could feel Nao's hand in his.

Some time later, he woke up in the streets in front of the Statue of Hachiko. At first he was terrified. Wouldn't you be if you woke up in the middle of the street with a strange black and white pin and hearing voices all around you when no one was talking? It only became worse when he discovered that Nao was in the same situation. It wasn't long until they got a run-down of what had happened from a passing Reaper. It turned out that they were participants in something called The Reaper's Game...and so, Sota was forced to say goodbye to his average life and hello to fighting for it.

The first day was hard. He quickly made a pact with Nao before anyone else could. Why someone would pick her over a guy with a lead pipe, I'll never know. But soon he discovered that the entry-fee they collected from him was, well, earth-shattering. Although he had a good feeling that they would have taken Nao if she wasn't already in the Game, they took the next best thing: his little sister, Eiko. She was only ten. They never talked as much as they probably should have, what with him already moved out of the house and already maintaining a busy enough lifestyle. But knowing that they had taken her...that was the worst possible feeling you could ever imagine. He had to win it. If he didn't, Eiko was going with him--and Nao, too.

Day One was spent just learning the basics of the Game and bashing around a couple of Noise. It was...weird. He kinda expected to get, like, a sword or a gun or something to help him, but that wasn't the way it worked. Instead, he got a small collection of his favorite CDs. (Hey, at least they made good ninja stars.) So after a bit of fighting, the day ended without much trouble. (Thank whatever powers that be that Sota excelled at math and could decode Sho's mission mails.)

Day Two wasn't much harder. To put the mission in actually normal terms, they were challenged to win the coveted Gold Pin that was being given out as a prize to the winner of the Tin Pin Slammer Tournament that was going on. Sota and Nao made their way over there immediately. Since Nao didn't know how the play the game (and really, she wasn't the best at learning things), Sota entered it for them. Although he had played a bit in the past, he never regarded himself as good as the ten-year-olds that seemed to dedicate their entire freaking lives to that game. (What if they were entered in the Reaper's Game? Would they ever want to change?) Whether it was through his skill or just dumb luck, Sota managed to pull through to the final round. Through some freak accident that may or may not have been caused by the Composer, his opponent Shuto Dan's secret weapon malfunctioned, causing Sota to win the match.

For some reason, in the days following, there weren't any missions given out. Instead, he and Nao took the time to try and enjoy what was left of their lives as much as possible. (It mostly consisted of shopping. Nao's choice, not his.) But one day--day six, he believed it was--one day was different. Noise started going on a rampage, attacking both Players and Reapers alike. Although he and Nao fought their hardest, it wasn't long before she couldn't go on any more. She was erased, leaving him all alone without a prayer for the future. He fought and fought with Neku and Joshua, who had found him the moment it happened. Those seven minutes between Nao's death and his inevitable erasure seemed like the longest in the world. Eventually, after all that fighting, he knew it was hopeless. It was his time. So, after some short parting words for Neku, he disappeared to join Nao beyond the veil.

Something...weird happened after that. He didn't remember what happened within the week that followed, other than a strange floating sensation. But after that, he found himself waking again on the streets of Shibuya, Nao by his side. From what he collected, something had gone down in the Game. Something that brought all of the Players in the past three Weeks back to life. But hey, after all that, who was he to argue?

finishing up;

roleplay sample; See Nami's app.

member title; In it to win it!

anything else;
Did I mention don't touch his NaoNao? Don't touch his NaoNao.
