Beauty of Everlasting Darkness
you;
name; Mima.
contact information; Email/MSN: PKBlackTornado@gmail.com
other characters; None. yet

basics;
name; Yuuka Kazami
age; Over 60- Implied to be hundreds if not thousands of years old. Appears in her early to mid twenties, or perhaps a bit older.
occupation; Being an annoyance, standing around doing nothing
race; Youkai- Force of Nature (Fairy?)

in depth;
appearance; At first glance, Yuuka looks just like a normal human with a very loud fashion choice. She always wears bright colors, usually a variety of reds to match her eyes. Her hair is bright green, and mostly cut to about her shoulders. While she has left it longer, she finds it most practical to keep it mid-length. The first thing to set Yuuka apart from a normal human aside from the "Red Eyes Take Warning" is the fact she's... huge. Not so huge she couldn't pass on a good day, but she's muscular and tall, more so than almost any human woman. Along with this, her teeth are more like that of a carnivorous animal than a human, designed for ripping meat and suchlike. She always carries around her umbrella- Always. Along with this, she has a perpetual grin on her face. Whether you can see her stabby death teeth or not, it's always unnerving. She has two sets of wings, the top green and the bottom light lavender- however, they are both small and no help to flight at all. She can just fly inexplicably, like everyone else in Gensokyo. If you can get over the fact she's a murderous, possessive man eater, she's quite pretty. Despite her strength, she still somehow appears "delicate."

picture; Here's Two.

personality; As explained, Yuuka is... pretty crazy. She's extremely possessive of everything, especially plants or at least everything she considers hers. Along with this, she's a total sadist with a huge bloodlust. Unfortunately, you're probably never going to guess it just by meeting her once or twice. In public, she's very polite, to the point of being a downright respectable person. This really doesn't help the fact her mere presence gives most people chills, however. As one of the most ancient Youkai in existence, it at least makes sense. She tends to take things easy, taking life and death as nothing but a huge game. Everything is a laughing matter to her, even innocents being slaughtered. Also explained, it is impossible to tell what Yuuka is thinking at any given time, unless you are a proper mind reader. Her smile and cheerful tone are always there, making it hard to tell if she's amused about something or annoyed.

history; My, there certainly is a lot of it. Yuuka has been around longer than anyone can remember, and her history would transcend that of human history.

Just to get started with the explanation, Yuuka was born a simple Youkai. No one knew exactly what kind. All they knew is, she showed up one day, a normal looking girl with a few standard Youkai abilities and instincts tacked onto her. Superhuman strength. Above average intellect. Carnivorous urges. Otherwise, she seemed about as average as they got. Just another Youkai, another problem to deal with. Especially since her energy seemed to know no bounds.

No one ever really spoke up as to being responsible for her creation, nor did anyone have any idea what she was. While she herself seemed to know, she insisted that she was nothing more than herself.

Because of this, Yuuka was allowed to run wild. She was nothing special as a child, anyway. She had potential, but nothing to spend it on. No one wanted her around, sure, but she was easier to live with than most Youkai. She took on human qualities, especially in her polite demeanor. While she was still somewhat of a mean child, she had the sense about her to avoid causing unneeded trouble.

And like any being, she lived and died, despite her abilities never truly manifesting themselves or showing who she was.

But that was just the first of many times the woman known as Kazami Yuuka decided to make herself present.

Yuuka has a lifespan equal to some of the oldest living humans- around 120 years per "Cycle". She dies and revives once more anew a few years before the second 60 year event in the current span. This means she ages at almost a quarter of the rate of a human, dying while she appears only around 30 or 40 years old.

The nature of Yuuka as a being was only recently pinned down, and her abilities have far outgrown their original intentions. While blessed at the beginning with the rather useless power to manipulate flowers, Yuuka's abilities have stacked with each life to rival those of some of the most powerful Youkai in Gensokyo. In fact, it is purely her age and experience that drives these abilities.

She retains her memories through each life- And she can sense when her next change is coming. By the way, there is an event in Gensokyo where every 60 years, flowers start blooming abnormally quickly and in places they shouldn't. So most of the long-lived beings there know of it's significance. Although Yuuka is commonly blamed, she just happens to find it as the most pleasant time to be reborn.

At one point, supposedly about a millennium ago, Yuuka created her own section in the dimension of dreams, and thereupon founded her mansion, only known as Mugenkan. She lives there during the parts of the year the weather is unfavorable at the Garden of the Sun, but most of the time she just lives in the garden.

In recent years, as she is starting into the second half of her 120 year life, she has quieted down a little, and stopped causing so many incidents. Still, Yuuka is well known for invading foreign dimensions and causing trouble. What's messing with a few humans from time to time.

Even nonhumans aren't safe. If Yuuka is sufficiently bored, she'll just invade another dimension to pass the time.

roleplay sample; ((Neopets intro bluh bluh))

Welcome to the land built entirely upon illusion and disbelief.

This place is a sanctuary for those beings, figures and events the world believes to be fantasy.

Most every species and time period takes refuge in this world. Youkai live among humans, fairies help earth rabbits, and ghosts reside under the same roof as the town priest.

Even gods show themselves in this land, although most of the time they choose to hide themselves away in their personal realms.

Humans still battle demons, although killing them is considered illegal. Instead, they fight for sport, showing off abilities and techniques used for beauty instead of true battle. The world revolves primarily around the Spellcard system, which makes it easier for the local Shrine Maiden to solve incidents.

While these incidents happen rarely, at most usually once a year, it is almost always a human who solves them. When Youkai or others do assist, a human usually backs them up. However, there is always the rare case of a Youkai, usually one of the more unpredictable or powerful, going out on their own. Supposedly this has occurred only once.

Usually an incident is indeed the work of the one pinned on in the first place, or at least, the culprit is found quickly. However, once before, this has been proven untrue and the wrong Youkai was picked as the target.

These two events were not the same one.

They were, however, sequential.

The Youkai falsely blamed in the first place indeed solved the incident she was blamed for.

As one of the most powerful beings in the land, it's no wonder someone like Kazami Yuuka would be blamed for an incident some time or another. Despite being the master of something as innocent-seeming as flowers, she was ruthless and unpredictable above all.

And finally, the second incident she was to be incorrectly blamed for arrived.

It is only once every 60 years this incident occurs, but unlike most, it is a regular event.

In essence, flowers have been blooming wildly, and even blooming in places they should not. On the surface, this is the only problem.

But to every incident, there is a back story. Was the problem the undying night, or the false moon? One led to the other in that case, the same as this one.

What the humans may have failed to notice was the ghosts possessing the flowers that had grown.

Yuuka had anticipated the start of the incident quite early. She understood what was going on entirely. But of course, being the Flower Youkai, she was not intending to let this once-every-60-year opportunity go to waste.

She may have been blamed by the humans by her willingness to go flower viewing during the incident. Or perhaps it was simply logical to them that since the problem was flowers, the one who controlled them had caused it.

Yuuka had strange logic. You could never tell what she was thinking. In that way, she was a bit uncharismatic.

People respected Yuuka because they were afraid of her.

Not because she was a good person.
member title; Flower Master of the Four Seasons (Or 'Beauty of Everlasting Darkness', whatever floats your boat)
anything else; she's amusing, isn't she I think if anyone made friends with Yuuka, she'd guard them like a hawk.
