I may be on a diffferent server, but I still message a lot of you, and stay in touch, and I read this little email recently that made me think of linkshells, you guys, and how important it is to be part of the team . I thought I'd share it with you guys, a few people have told me they've had a hard time getting stuff done in game, and I think this might apply to some of you .

The next season, when you see the geese migrating, going to a warmer place, to sort the winter...

Pay attention that they fly in a “V” formation. Maybe you will be interested in knowing why they do it this way...

By flying in a “V” formation....

The whole flock increases the flight efficiency by 71%

Compared to just one bird flying alone

Lesson 1:

By sharing the same direction and working as a team, the Linkshell can reach its goals far easier and far faster than if people are struggling alone. By helping ourselves and each other, the accomplishments are greater!.

When a goose leaves the formation…

He feels the resistance of the air and the difficulties of flying alone....

Then, he quickly comes back to the formation to take advantage of the flock’s power in front of him ..

Lesson 2:

By staying in tune with each other, and working with others who are heading in the same direction in game, we'll find it easier and more enjoyable getting to our goals . Theres nothing quite like sharing a moment of joy in game with friends .If the linkshell trieds to team up as much as it can, it will be easier both to get and give help.

When the leader goose gets tired of flying...

He goes to the end of the “V” formation. While another goose takes the lead.

Lesson 3:

While the LS has clear leaders, actually doing that job is a very hard thing, and is pretty much a full time job. If you, as members, can help alleviate that burden, perhaps by researching events in full beforehand, or even planning your own events when you need them, it makes it a little easier for the LS leaders.

Being a leader doesn't set us any higher than you - its a job, at the end of the day. Every member of this LS is valuable, and as an LS, we have to respect each other, share in the burdens, and combine out talents, abilities, and resources to get the job done .

The geese flying on a “V” formation, they quack to encourage to the ones in the front.
In that way, they keep the same speed.

Lesson 4:

When there is courage and encouragement, the progress is greater. There's no point in petty jealousy because someone else has gotten further along in a certain mission line than you . A word of praise motivates, helps and strengthens… and knowledge and assistance from someone who has experienced something before is always very helpful .

Quote:

When a goose gets sick, is injured or gets tired and he must leave the formation...

Other geese leave the formation too, and they fly with him to help him out and protect him. They remain with him until he dies or he is able to fly again. They reach their bevy or they just make another “V” formation.

Lesson 5:

Let’s stay beside each other no matter what the differences. Theres's always going to be the odd person or two who gets a little behid, and feels that things aren't going their way . If you're in a position to help, please do so - Its what helps make the linkshell strong . Sure, you may be level 75, and may have fought that bloody 2.3 dragon countless times, but every accomplishment for every individual member strengthen the shell , and adds to the power we have behind us .

In times of difficulty and great challenges, if we stick together and support each other, and, regardless of our differences, rise up to meet any challenge, sticking to the true spirit of teamwork, if we understand the joy in friendship and sharing accomplisments - Life will be easier, and RDS, as a Linkshell, will be strong.

So, RDS, stick to the spirit of the geese, and there is no mountain you can't climb, no goal you can't achieve - alone, each of us is weak, but together, we own Vanadiel! I don't want any of you leaving the flock!
