At one point we started off new , and its nothing to be ashamed of! People in this linkshell will work hard to help you out, without pressuring you, and in return we expect you to care for fellow LS mates, to help them out if you can, and to be respectful to them at all times. Easiest explanation is Pay-It-Forward - if someone helps you out, you should then in turn help someone else out. Even lower levels can help out - perhaps by checking prices on the AH. Please try as far as possible to keep content GA at all times - emotions WILL sometimes take charge, but please try to act with consideration. We all have bad days and disagreements, personal disputes should be kept out the linkshell. Try and respect each others values. Please talk in English, or any other recognisable language, but not L337SPE4K. If we need secret decoder rings to understand you, you're an idiot. Simple really! This isn't school - theres no preps, goths, emo's, etc. If you behave nicely, you won't be judged on anything other than your personality. We don't set out to stereotype, but if you choose to conform to a sterotype, thats your deal. Respect us, and we respect you. Sack Holders are Mods - If we politekly ask you to stop something, please do. We usually have a good reason, and you can ask us what our reasoning is . Certain things are unforgivable in the LS:: Racist Abuse Abuse of SE terms and conditions 3rd Party Tools, Botting, and Hacking Begging Scamming Any of these abuses will automatically bypass the three warnings rule, although you will still have right of appeal. Understand that we all have things we're trying to accomplish. If the high levels are out trying to finish a high level quest or get their next level, don't expect them to drop everything and come running to help you get your keys or Rank 3 or AF or whatever. If you need something that takes more than 1 or 2 people and a reasonable amount of coordination between members, ask for help and mention you are posting info on the forums. I can assure you you’ll get the help you need. It might not be instant, and you might have to wait a day or two. But you WILL get the help you need. You may also end up helping someone else who needs it and sees your post. You’ll be helping yourself and others. This works both ways, of course. High levels shouldn't expect lower levels to stop what they are doing to run a price check at an AH or anything else. However anyone on this LS sitting in a town doing nothing that ignores an AH check request, should expect theirs to go unanswered too. Event Rules ~~~~~ These apply to things like AF runs, coffer hunts, key parties, O-hat, etc. It's pretty simple really. No lotting. Generally there will be a post on the forums asking for all interested parties to sign up. Each event will have a max number of items the group will do ( ie, 4-5 O hats in a run) that will mean that not everyone will get an item that time. However, keep in mind that those organizing these events will arrange lists and keep track of who is still in need. If you aren’t helping other LS members get their items, don’t expect others to help you get yours. If during any event or party you need a specific item that happens to drop, announce it to your party mates and if they or the party leader are ok with it, then by all means lot away. Generally speaking, the person leading the event or party has the final word. Leave the mages alone ~~~~~~~~~~ If you’re looking for a power level, fine. Ask and then drop it. If no one offers, don’t keep asking. Most mages hate doing a PL because it’s boring as hell. If they aren’t interested, leave them alone. This can be considered begging if you keep at it. Also, if all you ever do is ask for a PL, you need to find somewhere else to be. Sack Holders: Why you do not want this job ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~ Let me clear up something very fast. Being a Sackholder for any linkshell is not easy.Giving someone a sack is not a sign of acceptance, preference, or ‘popularity’. It is a sign that for good or for bad you represent the Linkshell in a fair and impartial manner. A sack holder is expected to set the example for other members and be a “Good Will Ambassador” for the entire LS. People will judge the LS by the actions of its members, but will judge even more so on the behavior of its Sack holders. The hardest thing you will ever do as a sack holder is break your best friend’s pearl. If you cannot do this, then you will never make a good choice for a sack holder. There are three reasons a sack holder may lose their sack. First is need. From time to time the LS may grow too large or too fast. The best way to regulate this is to cut back on sack holders. This is nothing personal, and does not reflect on you as a sack holder. It is simply a way to control the growth of the LS. Second is abuse. If you abuse the privilege you will lose it. This means things like breaking pearls without just cause, or threatening to do so unfairly. Handing out pearls without making sure the person has read the rules, or at least knows the basic rules and has been informed how to access them. The third is neglect. Being a sack holder is a responsibility above all else. You are expected to act as moderators, mediators, and examples to other members of the LS and uphold the rules of the LS at all times. If you aren’t doing this, then we need to find someone who will. This means if you are present when there are clear rules violations going on and you ignore them, or you challenge other Sack holder’s authority to address them you will be removed from your position.
