Cinemark this month and next month in select theatres is going to be playing death note live action film and bleach the movie.

Fortunately for me there's 2 theatres playing both movies within a 10 min driving distance.

The tickets are step at 10.00 dollars a pop but for a anime fan watching anime on the big screen is something that comes far and few between. The last 2 films I've enjoyed on the big screen were Ghost in the Shell the movie 2 and Paprika. I am going to go see death note and i'm still considering bleach :P

The link has the list of theatres playing the films.

Goddamn, Minnesota fucking sucks! Theres not a theatre near me that I can go to T.T

Good thing I can see them rather not legally, but still not the same as on a huge-ass screen T.T

I wonder, would they be dubbed in english? If so, f*** that cuz the japanese verison is waay better.

日本語 ftw!

I don't think I've ever seen an anime with a decent dub job.

Piques my interest a bit... anyone know of a really well dubbed anime?

cowboy bebop is a really good dub
howl's moving castle
witchblade
moonphase
ranma 1/2 - some voices corny at time but suprisingly works.
welcome to hnk
melancholy of haruhi suzumiya
5 centimeters per second
full metal panic
tenchi muyo universe

more than ever now a day anime dubs are getting excellent.

its not the 80s or early 90s

I've always loved GITS:SAC episodes, but I find them far less interesting when they are dubbed for some reason.

Sort of unrelated, but you should all go see 'Redbelt' (live action)
I saw it at the SFIFF51 on Tuesday, not realizing that it would come out today!
If you like David Mamet, or MMA, or just a good flick, check it out :ph43r:

ahh forgot about cowboy bebop and tenchi muyo...

most of the others I've only seen in japanese like howl's moving castle... when the option is presented I generally go with japanese, maybe I should try and keep an open mind about newer anime... /shrug
