I've been reading up on it and I think its do-able for us to get all that uber salvage gear If anyone is interesting you should post here and let me know what jobs you have at 75 or can get to 75 and also how many times you would like to meet a week. I'm thinking of assaults 2x a week (use 3 tags and 4 tags on the days respectivly, warned however, that this makes it so you cannot do nyzul isle .-.) Then I'm thinking of having salvage runs 2x a week. Salvage events are 100 mins long and requires at least 6 people. Everything in salvage can be done with 6 people provided you know what you are doing (which will take some runs XD) and you have a brd, or so I've read. Well, I have a brd ^^ Doing assaults will give us assault points which we use for a Remnants Permit which allows salvage access. You can buy a permit once a day; can only hold one. But that means that you can buy a permit the day before, do salvage the next day, then immediaty buy another permit and enter salvage again(which ISNT the plan though heh) I'm thinking casual salvage group to get hands, legs, and feet pieces, or head and body pieces if you have the gil. Hands/legs/feet pieces will average about 500k gil each Head is about 2-2.4 million gil Body is 11-13 million gil Not planning on starting right away as we need to build up assault points and rank up to get better assaults. But we can start salvage and experiment with it and "learn" it as early as after the 1st week of full assaults. I think we can pull this off XD So post if you're interested with jobs@75 or can/will have at 75, which pieces you would like, and maybe what times/days of the week you'd like to go.

I can make MWF after 6pm CST T TR after 8pm cst, Saturday/Sunday after 9pm cst Friday and Teusday is dynamis but I can drop it if needed.

Currently I am a Lance Corporal working on Corporal with all PSC and some PFC missions done. I already am in an assault shell with some of my friends, but they want to spend half the tags on nyzul and I would like to avoid that if possible. I already have at least 10k assault points set aside for salvage, I was in a salvage shell but they changed to a time that was too late for me. LMK if there is room for me. 75 DRG, working on NIN and WHM. Im gonna guess that I would take WHM to 75 next if I get in on this. Looking for Ares Set, order of my wants from highest to lowest is: body-legs-hands-feet-head You already know about me having dynamis Tu and F, I do ZNM's on W startign at 5:30(Can leave early), I do assaults W and Sa starting at 7(all times are in EST, and PM because im in college and have early classes). Obviously I would be willing to drop my assault shell to do stuff with you guys, but if we are in a situation where there are say 7 people and you were going to do an assault with 6, Id be willing to make it up with them since they usually do stuff with whoever is free. If all else I can come whm and not brd for 35 piece farming. BRD is really only for boss fights for the 25 pieces. And Id also like to keep my whm throne lol. (you can lvl it if you want ; and you do know that the body is like 11mil? I'm not gonna delve into your finances but I sure know I dont have that kind of gil yet! If you do hook me up with your secrets pretty please :D? But yeah, I'd like all 7 weekly tags for assault missions. We would start at PSC and rank everyone up at the same time because it would only be 6-8 people. I hope you'd be ok with that to help everyone rank up first :s So far, I havent found a time yet. I'm still in the process if getting 2-3 more people. and as you generally know I'm in hawaii and have college so stuff would be towards the later night cst/est times. Main reason I was gonna level WHM is because when I did one of the bosses as a drg, essentially all I did was angon it and sit in a corner. It would be nice for me to have another more useful job option in such a scenario, so I figure that whm would probably be more useful to the group. Although in general I would say a drg is useful for the rest of salvage, especially because if my wyvern is already out when we enter it stays out and it deals decent damage to the starting mobs while I and other non hand-to-hand dd's do 0 damage/miss until weapons are unlocked. Although nin would be handy if we have a lack of mnks. And about the body thing, yeah I know about the price, but if I can get my hands on the 35 piece then im more than willing to devote all my time into getting gil. I am too lazy to have started gardening yet, but with my mules and some strats I have been told I could pull in a few thousand a week. Plus im sitting on 20000+ IS, 100000+ CP, over 100 beastman seals and kindred seals, have a chance of getting organics from znms, plan on getting rank 10 all nations which will get me 750k more, and I have 1-2 million gil in DRG + NIN + random other job gear that can be sold if needed. Way I see it, I am already pulling in 50-300k a week without trying too hard and doing random crap with people, and if I give myself a reason to I can gather it in about 500k+ a week. Although I dont want to supject myself to that kind of torture unless I get the drop first. For a bit of calculations, prices WERE 850k-900k-ish each, but over the last couple days they jumped to 1mil... So assuming they go back down to the previous price, 12 ingots would be 10.2-12 million. Assuming I can get 500k+ a week, that would be about 20 weeks of nonstop gil raising. If they stay at 1mil each, it would take me an extra 4 weeks. Or i can sell a good bit of my gear off to reduce it by 2-4 weeks. So imo it is worth it for me, because as a DRG that body piece is truely amazing. Edited by Draxxus, Feb 27 2009, 05:29 PM.
