RFR Race rules

Drivers Registration:
- All members who would like to take part in RFR races will need to fill out the a registration form, CLICK HERE, before they can race or participate in any RFR activity.
- To do so please by following THESE guidelines.
- After you have been accepted by an administrator/moderator you will then be eligible to sign up and take part in RFR events.

Driving assits:
- All driving assits are allowed accept AUTO BRAKE.
- Unless stated in the event or rules for the event or championship standard assits rules apply
- Please do take into considration that not all members use the same assits while racing.

Livery rules:
- We run replica series like BTCC, GT3, etc.. And we'd love to see most use a replica paint.
- If anybody is using a custom paint, it can only be a RACE inspired paint. NO FANTASY art.
- We will not tolerate any offensive, sexual or racial content in your livery, this will lead to an immediate BAN.
- You must use a fully painted car during the entire season.
- Smaller sponsor decals can be added or removed during the season
- Some events/Series will demand specific rules about liveries, such as custom number boards. Please follow accordingly

Car builds:
- Most events on RFR have set car builds such as the BTCC etc. those car builds are built with parity in mind.
- DO NOT change any of the builds in the event, unless stated otherwise, this includes rims (alloys).
- If a member is found to have changed the build of there car in anyway, they will be removed from that event or championship.
- Tuning is allowed on all cars unless stated in the event rules.
- Tuning must use all gears available, with the exception it has a 7+ gearbox, then you need to use at least 6 gears.

Connection issues:
- Here at RFR we recommend that all members please reset your internet (router/modem) before each event, so we can limit lag issues during races.
- We are not responsible for any member connecting to a RFR Staff lobby, this is down to the member to connect to the lobby itself.
- If you have any problems connecting to lobbies please try to reset your internet and Xbox, if this problem persists then you will need to contact your internet provider
- Please remember races/events will start at their set times whether a member has problems connecting or not.
- Connection problems do occur but it is neither the fault or the responsibility of any RFR staff.
- If a member is constantly lagging, and causing problems for other racers, he will be asked to leave the lobby, whether it be by RFR Staff or lobby host.

Qualifying:
- As always simulation damage will be on, but collisions will be set to always off.
- Race rules will be in effect once you have left the grid.
- Only your fastest certified lap will be taken as your qualifying time, if you do not get a certified lap, then your uncertified lap time will be taken. And any certified lap will start in front of uncertified lap times.
- If you disconnect or lag out, ghost lobby etc. Your best time will taken from the laps you have completed. Whether it is certified or not.
- There will be NO re-qualifying under any circumstance, once you have started qualifying.

Track limits:
- The track limits of each circuit are from white line to white line across the track, you must have at least two wheels within track limits at all times. Persistent corner cutting or abusing the track limits could result in a stewards enquiry.
- If you have been found to have gained an advantage by cutting or exceeding the track limits, without giving up the advantage (position gained) this could also lead to a stewards enquiry.
- If you have left the track limits for any reason please be cautious and do not re-join on the racing line until you have built up sufficient speed to do so AND it is clear of any traffic.
- Any collisions by a member re-joining the circuit could lead to a stewards enquiry.
- Please be cautious when re-joining the circuit from the pit lane and always use the pit lane entrance and exit as marked out. Exceeding those lines is abusing track limits and could lead to a stewards enquiry
- All members must drive the correct way around the race circuit at all times. Going the wrong way, driving backwards or standing still within the track limits will get you kicked from the championship

Pit stops:
- All members must announce when they are pitting in the race, this is to stop accidents and to announce to the host you have actually made a pit stop.
- Please remember if the event/race has a mandatory pit stop, this means every member has to make at least one pit stop in the event/race.
- A pit stop will only count if your car has made a stationary stop, if any member drives into the pits too fast and not perform a legitimate pit stop, this will result in you having to make another valid pit stop.
- Any member who does not make a stationary pit stop if required, could face a stewards enquiry.
- Any member who causes a collision, because of an unsafe pit exit or exceeding the tracks limits could also be up for a stewards enquiry.
- Always remember the pits are not part of the race track, and to always give way to members on track.

Damaged cars:
- All of our events here on RFR are run with simulation damage, if you happen to be involved in an incident on the track or off track, which results in your car engine smoking that member is to pit at the end of that lap no exceptions, failure to do so will result in disqualification from that race itself.
- Also please stay off the racing line and let other members with competitive cars pass.
- Any car that rolls on its roof or side must please leave the race a.s.a.p., to stop further incidents happening, failure to do so could result in a stewards enquiry or disqualification from the race.

Not finishing races:
- Members who do not finish races for whatever reason will receive a DNF (did not finish) and will be awarded no points for that race/event.
- If its an endurance race, that being a race of one hour or more, the member must complete at least 50% of the distance to receive any points for that race/event.
- Members who have lag issues during a race could be asked to leave if the lag persists, this is to stop incidents such as lag spikes. He will not get any points, unless stated in the in the above circumstance, during an endurance race/event

Warm up lap:
- Most of the events we run here on RFR involve a rolling start, so this will include a warm up lap.
- Please do not use the handbrake (e-brake) during the warm up lap,
- Give each member in front plenty of space, until you need to bunch up at the end of the out lap.
- Cars must not exceed 100mph on the warm up lap.
- Any incidents on the warm up lap could result in a stewards enquiry, and even disqualification to the offending member involved.

Rolling start procedure:
- The starting procedure will work as follows,
- the pole sitter of each race will lead the field around, the pole sitter must not exceed 100Mph on the out lap.
- RFR Staff or lobby host will call out drivers in order they qualified, once called out you can roll of the grid slowly
- Members who started moving before his name was called out can receive a stewards enquiry
- Towards the end of the out lap the pole sitter will slow down to the rolling start speed of the event, everyone will the bunch up leaving a cars length gap between each driver.
- The lobby host will then give you a race time from the race timer (not lap timer), he will give you at least 10 seconds notice before the race will start.
- Once this time is met the race will begin.
- Please all remember that the rolling start speed is the maximum not the minimum speed for a rolling start, stewards will be watching race starts.

-Speed limits for rolling start procedure are as follows:
* F-C class: 40mph
* B class: 50mph
* A class: 60mph
* S-R1: 60mph.

Passing rules:
- The responsibility of the passing or attempting to overtake another car rests solely with the overtaking passing car.
- The overtaken driver has the responsibility to be aware that he/she is being overtaken.
- The overtaken driver shall not block or impede a clean, seamless pass.
- More than one change of direction to defend a position is not permitted. Any driver moving back on the racing line, having earlier defended his/her position offline, should leave at least one car width between his or her own and the edge of the track on the approach to the corner.
- Only one change of direction is permitted between each corner, persistent blocking could result in a stewards enquiry.
- Blue flag rules:
* This is the indication that a faster car (lapping car) is overtaking you.
* The driver overtaking must pre-warn the driver they are lapping by a min of 200ft from behind them that they are coming to lap them.
* A car alone on the track can use the full width of the track, as soon as it is caught by a car which is about to lap the driver must allow the faster driver to pass at the first possible opportunity.

Race Restarts:
Race restarts will only occur if,
- A lobby host needs to adjust the lobby setting in any way for the race or event.
- Lag spike causing multiple cars damage on an out-lap.
- Four or more cars involved in an incident on the first two laps of a race, leaving the members cars unable to move or drive this includes,
* Yellow and red engine damage.
* Severe gearbox damage.
* Severe spring, brakes and steering damage.
- If any of the above incidents occur a red flag (Race Restart) will be called by the lobby host only!
- In the event of a red flag restart, the lobby host will call a restart of the race. It is the responsibility of each individual driver to remember their specific position on the track at the time of the call for a race restart. All severely damaged cars will start from the back of the grid in alphabetical order of gamer tag.

Steward Enquiry:
"Incident means any occurrence or series of occurrences involving one or more drivers, or any action by any driver, which is reported to the stewards by the race director (or noted by the stewards and referred to the race director for investigation) which:

- Who are the stewards: The RFR Staff
- Anyone can raise an issue to the stewards, but only the member directly involved with the incident raised
- Any member has the right to appeal the decision of the stewards, in which case this will lead to a vote amongst the RFR Staff. This decision is final.

- Penalties issued by the stewards:
* If you are found by the stewards to have broke the rules, you will have a race penalty against you.
* These range from five place grid drop to points deductions, or even disqualification or a race ban, depending on the incident in question.
* Penalties must be served by the driver at the next AVAILABLE opportunity at which the driver intends to race.
* A driver will show an intent to race by setting a valid qualifying time for the race in which the penalty is to be served.

Racing etiquette:
- Yes exactly racing etiquette! Etiquette exists everywhere and for everyone, Race lobbies and forums are no exception.
- Racing etiquette includes, racing rules, racing friendship, and most of all behaving in a lobby in an appropriate manner.
- If you have an incident with another member in a race/event, please do not argue and curse each other, wait until the race is over and go through the stewards inquiry procedure, and let the stewards resolve the disagreement.
- Threatening behaviour and general hostility will not be tolerated towards staff or other members of this forum, this applies on and off the track.

Thank you for reading the RFR race rules.
