Despite Erika also bares some less admirable qualities, she is somewhat vain and proud, which stems somewhat from her rather privileged upbringing and a mask to conceal insecurities about her personal identity. Erika bares a tendency for manipulation. Erika is slightly dogmatic, in her devotion to the UEG, Office of Naval Intelligence and the mission, while outwardly quiet and enigmatic, Erika is somewhat prejudiced and her manipulative and dishonest tendencies would paint her a hypocrite if she spoke more about her own personal beliefs and experience. Erika, behind her kindness is certainly a calculating and somewhat ruthless individual, with a healthy dose of cynicism and suspicion of others and their motives. If you're an enemy of the UEG and on an ONI hitlist, Erika will not hesitate for a moment to roll over you without so much batting an eyelid.
What is your character's history?:
- Erika was born nineteen years ago on an Inner Colony called "New Hanover" a world that possessed some old western feudalistic traditions, with a social emphasis placed on familial bloodlines and Aristocratic titles applied to the members families involved in Government, Erika was born into the Saldern family, as an illegitimate child born from an affair between her Mother, Valeriya Saldern and a younger, handsome lover. Ulrich, Erika's lawful father suspicions were roused from his Daughter's physical appearance, which seemed to lack any distinct resemblance to himself.
- Erika's early childhood was troubled by the psychological issues faced by her Father, an educated man and veteran of two wars turned colonial militia officer. Suffering from extreme PTSD, It would strike Erika forever with an admiration and kindness that is extended to War Veterans and those who suffered from mental illness as a result of war. While her Mother occupies a position as the Chief Operating Officer for the local Ushuaia Armoury branch, Erika's childhood companion is an adorable, loyal maltese terrier named "Ser Boxy". Erika is the victim of a large albeit venomless spider bite atop her hand which comes to be the source of her arachnophobia.
- At the age of eight, Erika successfully manages to complete the construction of a scale model for a Frigate that was gifted to her by a childhood friend of her Father's, a man whom served with her Father during their wars, this man, whom Erika meets at a dinner hosted by her family unknown to the young woman is the man who Fathered her, though the ignorance wasn't mutual, and Michael, would attempt to find excuses to take Erika out with his wife when Ulrich and Valeriya were not able. Michael helps to teach the fast learner how to speak English and Spanish with a good degree of fluency over time.
- Erika, as a student during her senior schooling is undisciplined though not without talent, and becomes quite dishonest with potential competitors, when asked for help with studying or work, Erika is intentionally ambiguous and seeks only to feed them misinformation only truly aiding the weak and struggling amongst her classmates.
- At the age of sixteen, Erika is offered a partial scholarship to attend a mid-range university and enrolls in an undergraduate Security Studies course. At this point, Erika's goals and ambitions revolve around employment with the UEG in some capacity, it wasn't until Michael approached Erika and suggested the Officer of Naval Intelligence. Erika discussed the idea with both of her parents, who were slightly dismayed to hear that their daughter had an ambition to join the shadowy organization, Erika's Father, is particularly forthcoming with his disgust for the Office of Naval Intelligence.
- Erika, while at university, finds employ with Michael and his Wife as an intern in Michael's security consultancy company, taken under the man's wing and learns practical applications for what she's learning in her Security Studies course, where she showcases competent analytical skills, Michael carefully watches over his student's performance, speaks fondly of his time with the UNSC around Erika. Hoping to steel the girl's resolve despite the attempts of sway made by Valeriya and Ulrich.
- Shortly after on her 18th Birthday, Erika begins the application process for Officer-entry into the UNSC Navy, following Psychometric and aptitude testing, at which point Ulrich flew into an incensed rage. Erika was provided with a full scholarship for the remainder of her course by the UNSC Navy in exchange for a lengthy initial period of service with the Intelligence-branch, Erika discovers after a night of binge drinking with some girlfriends that alcohol doesn't have any effect on her consciousness or inhibitions.
- Valeriya confesses to Ulrich one fateful evening that Erika is not his daughter and reveals the identity of her Father as Michael, Ulrich proceeds to drive to Michael's home, armed with an assault rifle with the intention to kill the man as a heinous betrayal of trust from a dear childhood friend. Valeriya warns Erika and Michael via her chatter that Ulrich was driving to Michael's home armed with an MA5B, Erika out with some friends from University, jumps into her car alone and speeds to Michael's home, only to watch from a distance, Michael shoots the maddened Ulrich dead with a concealed sidearm in a display of self-defence.
- Severely distressed by her Father's untimely demise, Erika becomes withdrawn from Michael, his wife and becoming distant from Mother, virtually cutting off all contact with the Saldern family. Erika completes her course with honors and continues on to begin training with the UNSC Navy at the Luna OCS Academy and takes to her training with focus, not wanting to acknowledge her personal life or explore it. Erika makes for a good officer candidate, she becomes calculating, steely while maintaining an air of mystery about herself, leading more through actions than words.

Acting as a liason between ONI Section One and UNSC Marine Corps forces wherever she finds herself.

"Spartan 1.1"'s are chemically augmented Humans with one or more "Spartan-I" parents, and are augmented not long after birth to ensure they develop normally and do not become deformed as they have a physiological need for these chemicals thanks to their parentage. They are superior to baseline Humans but are not so augmented to compete with their augmented parent and don't even measure close to the later Generation of Superhumans the UNSC has Engineered, however. - Couldn't fight out of a paper bag - While skilled with firearms, this comes as a cost to Erika in the form of ineptitude in unarmed or hand-to-hand fighting. while, sure she has some basic training. Against a skilled or experienced melee combatant, Erika doesn't stand a chance, she's not excessively strong and lacks the necessary stature for grappling.
- Scorn for the unwashed masses - Erika is hardly the charismatic type, while there is a genuine kindness to Erika. It's hidden beneath a layer of vanity and arrogance. Erika can sometimes struggle to be Empathetic with Enlisted Personnel or even those less fortunate, for she has never had to walk that road.
- Parental Issues - Snide or cruel remarks regarding parental figures has the potential to send Erika into a rage, where she might threaten to affect physical violence. Erika isn't normally vindictive, but she'll never forgive insults or slights of this nature.
- Arachnophobe - Erika is terrified, even squeamish with small organisms that have more than four legs, the larger ones can leave the woman in a state of paralysis and shock.
- Racist sympathies - Erika has some pseudo-racist beliefs, the Covenant are inferior to Humans and couldn't possibly ever match their ingenuity.
What would you consider to be your character’s strengths?:
- Manipulative - Erika is very good at manipulating information to achieve a desired goal for the UNSC, the victims of said manipulation will hardly if never be aware they were ever victims of Erika's machinations.
- Gunslinger - Erika's skill and precision with sidearms or personal defence weapons is noteworthy, a careful and disciplined trigger finger combined with sharp reflexes. Erika is a dangerous combatant at range.
- Cryptographer - Erika is quite intelligent and as a member of ONI Section I, is frighteningly skilled at cryptography and is capable of creating and breaking military communication security software, including programs, algorithms and ciphers used by Covenant, and just about every one the UNSC or UEG field.
- Enhanced Physiology - Erika's entire physiology is more evolved and superior when compared to a baseline Human, her vision is enhanced to the point where the woman can see in low-level light unassisted.
