What is the name of your character?: Nick S-301B
What is your characters age?: 24 (DoB: 7th May 2529)
Which race is your character?: Superhuman (Spartan-III)
What is your character's class?: Brigand. What is your character's rank?: Warrant Officer Two What is your character's title?: Spartan, Sir
What is your character’s description?:
Build (Height, Weight, Physique, etc.): 7'1" Body Color: Light. Eye Color: Hazel. Hair Color: Brown. Gender: Male. Any Uncommon or Specific Features?:
What is your character’s personality?: Nick is by no means quiet as he speaks his mind often. Since he lacks social skills due to his separation from others he normally cracks jokes to ease tension between him and those he doesn't know well..... Or even his friends for that matter. Most obstacles to him are challenges waiting to be met and always gives him a smile when he is pushed hard. Although he volunteered to become a Spartan he does not view himself as a tool to some day simply roll over and die. His cause to live is great although his cause to dish out as much damage to the Covenant, with a smile, as possible is greater still. All and all he is very smart, tactical, actually has a, at times, heart, and above all .....is crazy. This is a mental hindrance that formed under stress. He cannot get angry and finds amusement in literally anything. From happy puppies to children dead in the street. The thing that most people find revolting about him is how open he is about it.
What is your character's history?:
- Nick was born during the five years it took to recapture Harvest by UNSC efforts. Although during the fighting both his parents lost their lives Nick was spared and evacuated off world. Growing up as a refugee he never quite found himself until the Spartan program asked him to join at age ten. How could he refuse after the Covenant took so much from him and the UNSC gave him a way to fight back? Without a home, family, and the loss of more friends from the Covenants advances it was an easy "yes".
- Once he was initiated he stood out. More then just a shock troop like the UNSC wanted but a formidable opponent for any who faced him in the training halls. Nicks skill set lay in weapons themselves. Able to pick up an Assault weapon and use it expertly just as he could a position rifle. Quick witted and capable he was moved from the group and trained in other fields. Vehicle operation and advanced technologies. Soon however ONI needed a different sort of Elite warrior so he was scooped up into the HeadHunter initiative. Paired with his partner Desmond they went deep into enemy territory to do what they could against the Covenant.
- In 2551 him and Desmond came onto a refueling station on a forest moon. The mission was to eliminate the Battleship that was there to restock and refuel however the OP went south. More Covenant were at the station then predicted and when they infiltrated the station they were discovered. Fighting their way to the gravity lift and into the ship was the only option now. Both of them were wounded and had no where to go until Desmond found the orbital insertion pods the Sangheili used like ODST's did to enter a planet from orbit. The idea was to set the nuke they hualed up there and use the pods to launch themselves away from the ship. As they set the payload and made their way to the lauch bay Nick was wounded to the point where he asked Desmond to leave him. What Nick did not no was Desmond was filled with biofoam already and was the walking dead. So instead of leaving Nick, Desmond placed him inside of a pod and defended it until it launched him to safety. Desmond died in the nuclear fire that followed destroying the ship aswell. The mission was a success.
- After loosing Desmond, and recovering, Nick was sent to Earth to join the newly developed Division 6 under section III, ONI. Seth B-315, The commanding officer, a former Headhunter, and someone Nick knew. Spoke with him to assess the condition of Victoria B-154 when he arrived to Earth. his orders were to assist any UNSC forces in Australia while watching and operating with Victoria. The first meeting was not the greatest as a broken blond Headhunter wished her death. Though he was shown video messages sent from her personal terminal to a Headhunter Named Akumi A-216. It didn't take long to figure out the pair were in love. He couldn't have a heart broken Headhunter operate in a combat zone so through some rather extrema confrontations with Victoria. Not only did she almost kill him, kill herself even, but he actually got through to her in some manner to want to survive.
- Their first mission together was a snatch and grab of the civilian A.I. running Sydney. Although the OP went south as their pelican took direct fire from covenant air forces. With nothing but jet packs the pair jumped from a high altitude to the city below hard. Injuries and a fire fight later they pulled together and regrouped with the survivors of the escort wing. However, command redirected them to an off site ONI building to retrieve a HVT. When they arrive it seemed hell was upon them as Covenant ground forces were quickly depleting the UNSC defenders. Fighting their way in was easy. Getting out was the hard part. In the end they both got the package to its destination though they would only be put back into the fire hours later. In dire need of support. The UNSC defense forces ordered the pair to defend civilian evacuation efforts. As Victoria disappeared to secure the civilians in a fall out shelter. Nick and the marine defense forces held the line against seemingly endless Covenant forces.
- During the chaos Nick was forced into close combat with Elites and Brutes alike. With the endless numbers slowly chipping away eventually even he was being over run. Taking a plasma sword to his left eye severely damaging his helmet as Victoria began to flat line. With efforts clear and the marines falling back. Nick not only had to fight his way to her body but fight to drag it back. Suffering several spiker shots to the torso in his effort. Though he took out many he was done. Only pure adrenaline placed his body and Victoria's on the final evac pelican. Suffering from his wounds he fell unconscious in transit only to wake a day later in Cleveland. Apparently Victoria survived as well thanks to his actions.
- Both were medically air lifted to Cleavland where the Spartans could receive priority one care. When the bird landed Nick fell unconscious and woke a day later after his first surgery to be informed he would loose his eye. Nick payed him a visit to unofficially debrief him. The reunion with Seth was well welcomed.
- In the month that followed Nick integrated into Delta-6 operating within Lord Hood's fleet as the portal to the Arch opened. Him and the Midnight Blitz would venture to the far reaches of the galaxy to this ancient Forerunner strong hold. Once there he and other operatives took to the surface during the fighting to gain information and technology. Fighting the Brute Lead Covenant as they did so only until the time of the Flood entering the portal. Once High Charity crashed on the Arch and the discovery of a new;y made Halo array was made clear. Him and Delta-6 evacuated through the portal back to Earth.
- After the wars end. Nick was tasked with quelling insurrectionists until coming back into dock in March to take in new recruits.
What is your character's affiliation?: UNSC Marine Corps, Office of Naval Intelligence
Explain the background and role of your applied race/class?: I know my stuff.
What would you consider to be your character’s shortcomings?:
- His humor can rub almost anyone wrong and even still is his way of approaching situations.
- Due to his size Nick can be slow when engaging a smaller more agile opponent.
- More over Nick's motivation has a fault as a leader cannot be someone that treats every situation as a joke to be made.
- Where He may very well be the Greatest Specialist alive he would make for a lousy Buck Sergeant in conventional terms.
What would you consider to be your character’s strengths?:
- Highly motivated individual looking at the positives more then the negative even when his own life my fall to the way side.
- Nick is abnormally huge for a Spartan-III almost taking on the size of a Spartan-II.
- Combining his size and strength the compliment is his sharp wit and humor making him the perfect team member to have.
How many "NPCs" would your character lead and how?: None
What sources have you used for your application?: Halo Games, Halo Novels, Halowiki.
Do you agree to follow Resurgence's rules when playing your character?: Yes

Okay Dox, I get it. You wanna get straight into the action, wasn't trying to speak down to you like some lowly git but did put up the Admin wall. This particular template makes it easier to sift through apps and just looks neater. Want to keep things consistent and all y'know? Look, I'll even do it for you.

Aaaaaaand there we go, with that done we can review & approve Nick, just copy & paste. We're all here to Rp and I want to see you Rp with us Dox, the template just makes things easier for everyone. I treat my mates like faceless digits when it comes to apps and the like to avoid the appearance of bias Dox, and I'm accustomed at this point to working in much larger communities where that kind of thing appears to happen a lot, so it's not a conscious decision I make to be a faceless dick. And yeah dude, some stuff is app only. Spartans are included because we've have had poor experiences with folks playing poorly RP'd or constructed Spartan characters in the past, myself included admittedly. The little legalistic thing at the bottom? It's basically a re-affirmation you'll avoid stuff like meta/powergaming, if Nick was just some rifleman in the Marine corps, you literally don't even need to write a profile, and if you did, you can use whatever format you like and start Rp'ing.
On the topic of the old sites, I'm fairly certain we only changed character templates after Galaxy and made slight changes to it over time after that, and back then you needed to app for everything which was completely unnecessary and why we won't ever do that shit here, it was painfully restrictive and stupid, so many character profiles got piled up and it was dumb. I as an Administrator have learnt from a lot of those mistakes Dox with time elsewhere. Now we can please stop fighting and throwing threats to quit over this? The profile has been updated dude, and I'll bloody do the same with Akumi dude because I care and want to see you here and Rp'ing with us, but keep things consistent with the apps.

It now holds the format. I'm a little Iffy about how D-6 is going about here. In Vic's bio I left it a little open just in case. But if no one has a problem with an Element of D-6 existing here then I'll say approved.

Delta-Six is an actual division of ONI Section III that actually exists, is that what you want to go for Dox, or are you going for a traditional spartan team with the Phonetic identifier of "Delta-Six". Just to clarify? Looks like you're going for the team thing, aye?

Well, nothing looks out of order to me. It's brief concise and straight to the point, including some old legacy stuff that doesn't conflict with anything. So here is my +1, Dox. I'll move him to approved.
