Of course this has only been done when she was truly “secure”. She now longs for battle and has been shown to become angry when her opponents kill themselves to escape her. She often expresses admiration for her fellow Spartan’s of the older UNSC. She’s noted to applaud command's order to kill "splendid" and the determination of her partner to complete their mission quickly and efficient. More "fantastic" and "magnificent" qualities of the Headhunters opposed to normal humans. She recognized those under her as a parallel to herself, and often looks up to them in a way. They were her family. Victoria sometimes struggles naturally with remembering who she was before the covenant and what she had become, going as far as crying over how things turn out. It can be said that she considerers herself a step down from humanity, and regrets the "choice" she made when becoming a Spartan following the death of B-315 and sustaining a heavy injury which almost resulted in her losing her leg. Due to her Failures earlier on she had regressed quite a ways. However with the emergence of yet another partner, and the events that followed the duo. Their emotional growth and eventual evolution of such feelings saw to Victoria seemingly being repaired. Dare she believe that she actually qualified as a human being. What is your character's history? : Victoria was one of many Beta company Spartan’s who finished her Headhunter training in enough time to be involved heavily in operation Cartwheel. Much of her early life is unknown, not that she remembers much anymore anyway. Aside from the occasional dreams she would get hinting at her past there wasn’t much else to go on. That life was of something long ago, a dream world that didn’t exist for her anymore. A name that existed back then, parents, a family. None of that held any relevance. Instead her early memories were of a glorious figure, one Spartan II named Kurt who was responsible for her becoming a well trained, well disciplined warrior. He was her family, the other Spartan’s of Beta Company….they were her brothers and sisters, her family. She’d fight alongside them, and die for every last one of them…or so she thought. Around the age of eleven Victoria would start developing certain personality quirks, and mannerisms that would catch the eye of the trainers involved with the top secret Spartan-III Program on Onyx. These quirks, personality temperaments and mannerisms later translated into the results of her training. She had a habit of either blending well, disappearing all together, and being brutally violent when it came to a target or objective. This led to her being snatched up, one of many taking to the other side of the planet for a special training program. One that set her and few others apart from the rest of the Spartan-III’s at the time. The training was brutal, the stakes were high and she would develop as a cold little devil herself. She gained strength, she gained speed, she gained dexterity and balance, she gained a love for competition and success that was unrivaled…she gained a dangerous bloodlust that was hell to quench. Because of what she had become, there was no room for the masses of her brothers and sisters, instead a small select group. A newfound more personal extension of herself. Her true family. The Headhunters. Her partner at the time was Elie. She excelled in the technological field. While she was as smooth a deadly an asset as any headhunter, she truly was a genius among the brilliant. At the time she was a WO G1 and found herself operating in a strike group with the other Spartans to thwart the Covenant’s operation from planet to planet, being sent deep behind the hot zones, and smack into the middle of some. Of course she was more like a terror shadow considering the other UNSC personnel couldn’t know of her presence…there were strict countermeasures to end. Though other more spec op Spartan three’s such as those in teams knew of the Headhunters existence due to several previous operations. Some of her strikes met with failure but quite a few were a massive success. Though they had heavy tolls, as one eventually saw the death of her partner… the only ending for the Headhunters. They were pulling deep strikes and ambushes, using guerilla tactics against the Brutes. Unfortunately this didn’t last as the Brutes had a corps of warriors, much like the Elites which used active camouflage and other jamming tech which played a bit of hell on the Headhunter’s gear, including the VISR. As a result of the enemy simply growing tired of the duo, and being alerted. They set a trap, which resulted in Elie being eaten by a Chieftain. Something that haunts Victoria to this day, she wasn’t fast enough to save her sister from a painful and gruesome death. She often wished she had traded places with her. Elie was an anomaly, she was a headhunter, yet so animated and filled with life…among the rest of them she deserved to live simply because she had the most to offer the world outside of the UNSC if such a thing were ever possible for them. This forced her return to Onyx until she could find another compatible partner. As far as her training went, Victoria was a master of unconventional warfare. And she had a natural knack for close quarters combat. So much to the point where at times she would prefer being close enough to stab the enemy than being drawn into a prolonged fire fight. She remembered being spread thin between fighting the Insurrection and the Covenant, she was tired but found it was a good chance at payback for the young Spartan’s who had been slain. She took no prisoners when it came down to judgment day. Victoria had always been a strong individual, and strongly indoctrinated by the UNSC as all Spartan’s were she held a deep intimate love and respect for the government and ONI alike, as well as for the other Spartan’s around her. She made it a point to do her best to keep her partner…her family alive for as long as possible, of course short of compromising the mission. She felt this was done through her actions as a Headhunter. Feeling that their success would help pave the way and keep the other III’s in their company from being slaughter for one more day. Of course hope of that died during the Pegasi Delta Campaign Following her return to Onyx Victoria was sifting through files and looking for a Spartan to fill the gap in her team. She focused on someone who could jump into direct combat and excel, someone who was also moldable for her needs. There were several young Beta Spartan’s that caught her attention. She couldn't help but respect the results of B-315. His work was brilliant judging from his scores. He even had a bit of Stealth. He could do his job quite well. So she made the request and had him moved to her team. Over the course of six months they trained and formed such an extreme bond that many thought the two were closer than Spartans were allowed to be. As years passed the moment of truth, where everything changed drastically was on the home world of one of her current partner, Arcadia. Their job was to hit the Covenant’s flanks and force them to a halt eventually and use a HAVOK to blow them to kingdom come. The mission quickly went to hell in a hand basket following the UNSC extraction from the planet. Almost resulting in the two being left on their own just hours before the planet was glassed. The last stand moment saw Erica taking several hits to the midsection…plasma damage was a bitch and it hurt…a lot. But nowhere near as much as watching another friend, brother, borderline lover when one gave it too much thought die. She wasn't sure when but in between her dazed state and the heavy sprint toward the lifting pelican she noticed Seth's bio signs flat line. She's shamed to say she didn’t look back or stop running. The headhunter in her, the Spartan wanted her, drove her to stop and see him, but the human, the scared bleeding almost borderline dismembered human wanted to feel safety. And as their tactical nuke went off and the Pelican ferried her to safety, Victoria understood her own feelings…she hated herself. Durring her campaign on Reach Victoria would show self destructive tendencies. Going out of her way to expose herself, however she hated the covenant more than herself. She didn’t just give herself up, she fought them…she killed them, praying one would have the strength to best her. But none came. ONI was aware of her behavior, the situation on Reach was becoming to dire to address the issue, and she was still showing mission success to be her priority. She however would end up surviving even the fall of Reach. She figured she still had a job to do, with the covenant having taken Reach. All that was left now was for her to simply defend earth. A planet that wasn’t her own. But that didn’t matter. What else did they have after this? Upon her arrival to the Sol system Victoria was grudgingly paired with another Headhunter. To her surprise it was someone she knew who understood the pain she was feeling. Initially things were...rocky, but flowing all the same. They operated on several counter insurrection ops on Earth. Command hoping to completely wipe it out before the covenant arrived. Or at least beat them down far enough to where they wouldn't cause any trouble. ONI was well aware of the dealings between the Covenant and the UNSC's less desirables. During one of these ops Victoria decided to use her SPI instead of her MJOLNIR Mk V armor for the sake of stealth. That would be her undoing. She took several bullets during the op directly to her visor. The end result was a large amount of damage which could've lead to her blindness or possible replacement of her eyes. Prior to the injury Victoria and Akumi had developed a romantic relationship. Both becoming a reason to live for the other. Emotionally Akumi was compromised so Victoria took it upon herself to sooth a grieving Akumi who had also been injured during the op. Sometime later, once they had "finished" Victoria was shocked to learn of Seth still living, and the fact that he would be replacing her as Akumi's partner until she could return to the field. Of course her shock and emotion took over. The end result was her being drugged and taken into operation due to further damage being done to her eyes. The shock of the situation, her failure…those memories. Her shame, they were right in front of her and she couldn’t see it, couldn’t express her sorrow. He had to know that she was sorry. Upon completion of her operation, and while recovering. Victoria, was looking forward to returning to Akumi's side...however things have changed. And the covenant were on their doorstep... Following her recovery Victoria was left to her own horror as Akumi and Seth were stripped away by ONI and placed in another possible hotbed while she remained at the Hive in Australia. With Seth's return several demons resurfaced which Victoria couldn't keep in check. Her sense of overwhelming anger and lust for battle were left unchecked. Everything bombarded her at once leaving her the only option of lashing out to retrieve what was dear to her. She lashed out at those around her. With Seth having just come back into his life, and Akumi, the one she now loved…both being sent away at a time like this felt that she was at her limit. ONI didn’t havea use for her and they were going to send her off to die. She didn’t care of that, such a thing was her only foreseeable future since she had become a headhunter. But not being able to see either of them, tell them how she felt . Her regrets, her adoration…it tore at her. Feeling defeated, alone, and simply helpless Victoria watched as the Pelican flew away taking her heart with it. She broke down at that moment. She was no longer het Defiant Lion that so many knew her to be, reduced to nothing more than a shell prepared for death, simply waiting. It made Beta-5 Security force's job that much easier as they moved in to arrest and detain her. She spent several days in confinement locked away in the deepest level of the Hive. She was content with remaining there until an old acquaintance and close friend of her first deceased partner (Elie) had shown up. Nick's sudden appearance and bull rushing into her life shook her very being initially, so much to the point where she almost took her own life. But it seemed to be the trigger to help Victoria's rage to resurface. This made her unstable and unreliable as a teammate, but she had the drive to live. While she had reverted to the darkness she had shrouded herself in following the second battle of Arcadia some five years ago she was up and about, moving, killing. Doing what she was made to do. Despite this she was largely unstable with Akumi having been sent away. It was an unfortunate trate of a sociopath; she still struggled to coup with it. Often finding it impossible to move on. It felt every step and every breath was labored and damn near impossible to maintain. She sought an end to her suffering...in turn ending Akumi's suffering feeling she herself was responsible for everything that her love was suffering. That if it weren’t for her that Umi would be able to live a life of peace and happiness. To that end Victoria would've ended her life in an instant if it weren't for Nick's intervention. She would wake up some hours later following a surgery to fix the injuries caused by the attempt to "implant a bullet into her left eye" Her scars were also removed from her previous surgery. Leaving no hint of her eye surgery save for the color that remained. As if the experience helped her she started to see what she had to live for, or rather what she had to fight for. Leaving her to do whatever was necessary to survive what was coming to Sydney. However the less desirable parts of her still resurfaced to help her coup with the heartache she felt. That part of her that didn't mind dealing out friendly fire to anyone in her path, that part of her that didn’t give a damn about anyone but herself during a fight. Obvious by the way she fought, constantly leaving Nick to fend for himself and flagging aliens and UNSC defenders alike if they simply got in her path. And there was never anyone left in a situation like that standing to report her because she usually didn’t leave witnesses. During the final stages of her operations with Nick in Sydney they were pulling to provide added security to an evacuation op to relocate civilians who's shelter was crumbling around them. This single moment Victoria was able to break through her heartless shell when it came to protecting the civilians. Mainly because of a simple look that a little girl gave her prior to that portion of the battle starting. Victoria had moved underground to a supply cache where civilians were also being distributed aid materials and moving to another area. That little girl reminded Victoria of herself the day her family...hell her whole planet was turned to glass. The look in her eyes the first time she saw a Spartan. Though she didn’t know what it was at the time. As if mirroring that moment she pulled her helmet off as she walked by, placing her hand on the girls head in passing. At that moment she remembered, she had admired the Spartan’s so much…she was sure they would save her…she did survive that day. The girl however did something Victoria didn’t, she held out a stuffed bear, as if giving a gift. Victoria didn’t understand it at the time, but she took it with the slightest smile. She would gather supplies and rally up top with Nick and the other defenders less than an hour later to fend off the relentless waves of Covenant aggressors. The resulting battle would lead to Victoria damn near losing her life. The first of many injuries simply being soft tissue damage from being within close proximity to explosions. Though that went largely unnoticed until one got close enough to knock her off balance as she fought with two Hunters. Unfortunately she didn’t see the third and forth moving in behind her as she was busy dodging big ass green lights flying at her. The first seemed to backhand her with its plasma canon, sending her flying to her back some several feet way away. Dazed and a having the wind knocked out of her she rolled onto her stomach only to see the creatures massive shield arm coming down. There wasn't enough time to react and she took it to the mid section, damn near being cut in half. But the armor saved her, unfortunately the only thing that was holding her together was her spinal cord and she struggled to even stand for the fear of just falling apart. The biofoam struggled to keep her insides...inside, however keeping them intact was another story all together. At this point other UNSC defenders had moved in as Victoria struggled to move, gagging on her blood and for the first time actually crying from the pain. Eventually she would borderline fall into shock. Her shields and more sensitive armor functions ceased as she crawled around on the ground. A squad of Marines would move to her aid, a few dying before Nick could get there to save her ass. As they were getting her up though three needles would puncture her right arm all below the elbow. She winced from the initial puncture but cried out once they exploded, splitting her arm open, leaving no more but bone and shredded muscle and skin. She struggled just to stay conscious, but ultimately failed. She would wake up on a Pelican outbound to the US city of Cleveland. Following a minor surgery to stabilize her for further surgery upon arrival she set eyes on Nick who was on the verge of dying. Where Victoria was herself her will to live and the patchwork she had received made it so she could be moved without a great deal of discomfort. Following their arrival Victoria would have her confrontation with a waiting Akumi who was standing by for their arrival. However her condition saw to the moment being short lived. Next she would wake up a week later following all of her surgeries. Her right arm was saved somehow, her internals damn near 60% of them cloned and replaced were doing well. She was on board the UNSC Midnight Blitz and getting settled in. Their ship served as a bit of a "mole" within lord hoods fleet, linking up with the forces in Africa and tagging along with the joint Sangheili and UNSC task force moving to the Ark. There Victoria would bare witness to something of nightmares, the flood. While her Prowler and Recon detachment was tasked with recon and survey they did touch ground and had to fight several covenant while keeping, or rather trying to keep a small signature and keep their objectives well hidden from the other forces. They were also to search for any artifacts or technology that could be of use. Of course with the appearance of the flood across the ark and an unfinished Halo ring being sighted the Spartan was returned to the Blitz and returned to UNSC space. Squashing a small rebellion within the outer colonies. At this time they received resupply. Consisting of their new weapons and armor, which she and quite a few of the older Spartan’s from her time and before enjoyed. They would test these MJOLNIR Mk VII variants as much as possible, getting used to the fine motor functions and adjusting to them as they finally returned to the Sol system. Currently the Victoria is on Order’s to report to the Infinity. What is your character's affiliation?: ONI (Multi-Section Command) D-6 What do you see as your character's future? : This character’s future is largely undecided, it will either be a revolution of sorts…or extremely tragic. Explain the background and role of your applied race/class? : Commando: As a Spartan specifically Victoria's training in the art of war granted her an overall prowess on the battlefield like many of her brethren. This aspect was only slightly enhanced with unconventional tactics as a Headhunter. Her extensive tactical ability and combat prowess range greatly from hand to hand to mounted weapons platforms. Gunman: Despite her peers and role as a Headhunter, Victoria's capability and combat ability are unrivaled when it comes to the use of firearms, be they human made or alien teach due to extensive training from a young age. What would you consider to be your character’s shortcomings?: -Self Loathing -Over protective -Overthinks the little things in life -Uncomfortable in civilian settings -Hot headed -Prone to acting before thinking -Multiple Stress Disorders -Emotional Attachment What would you consider to be your character’s strengths?: -Combat capability -Comfort and calm in hectic situations -Loyalty -Wit -Strength -Emotional Attachment How many "NPCs" would your character lead and how? : None outside of a training environment. Despite her rank, Victoria's role isn't meant tobe of one which leads forces into battle. What sources have you used for your application? : ....your mom Do you agree to follow Resurgence's rules when playing your character? : Maybe Edited by Ghost01, 2 Dec 2015, 03:53.

Okay, "WIP" Profiles cannot be reviewed, so I'll be moving this to denied. You also need to make use of the character app template, as found here |

I'll create a forum more appropriate for this sort of thing on the board, a slight oversight on my part. |

Only a very small number of Spartans actually work for ONI, they've got their own branch the selfish buggers. So you can just shorten that to "UNSC" or "Spartan" yeah? Unless Vikkie here is going to be working for ONI then y'know, make that appropriate change. Just thought that was a point that needed some clarification given the backstory ends with her being posted on the Infinity? Nothing else to poke at here, was already a solid profile to begin with, I'll slap it with my one plus after you've just clarified that tiny detail for meh. |
