Anderson felt his eyes twitch as his team leader approached. "Hey bossman," he laughed nervously. "I-oh, you know me...doesn't take much. Oh hey in, I got this freaky rifle to work out, figured out how to reload it too, but I don't think I want to go hunting for ammo either." He paused for a moment as Carmine filled him in. "Man no rest for the wicked? Yeah, I'll get my stuff ready. Strip down for running speed huh?" When he looked up he was more or less relieved to see Marina and Alice weren't all over each other...or rather he had mixed feelings, that was kind of hot. "Damn...that moral spike was nice though." -------- Marina fell silent, not sure what to say at first as she idly held her own arm. As Alice passed her she reached after her only to fall short due to her delayed reaction. "Alice wait...please..." She wasn't sure what to say, but she didn't want them to part like this. The atmosphere around camp was shifting, a sense of action was setting in. They were about to do something, and with Alice more or less on a warpath it was obvious. "I mean what I said...all of it. You're precious to me, I don't want to lose you...not again...neither of us do." |

![]() Alice Stryker Requiem Alice continued to walk away from Marina with no second thoughts of looking back. Asclepius approached Marina from behind resting his hand on her shoulder. "Just let her go. She needs some time to herself to get focused." Alice walked a bit away from the base. Close enough to come back quickly when ready, but far enough to be alone. It wasn't Marina's denial that was crushing her. And she wasn't feeling this surge of anger because the death of her partner. It was missing so much time away from everyone she grew to call family. Even when she had a choice to come back. Her father may have put the thoughts of staying away in her head, but she didn't have to listen. Alice began to rapidly strike a tree with her fists. Over and over and over. Until nothing was left, but splinters exploded in every direction. After the rush of anger was released, Alice dropped to her knees looking at her hands and the ruined armor covering them. Was it worth it? |
