What is the name of your character?: Isaac Vladivostok - Hunter
What is your characters age?: 26
Which race is your character?: Modified Human (Kind of, based on medical field of today and some of this Universe, weaker than Spartans but should be said anyways.)
What is your character's class?: Commando , Aristocracy - Military
What is your character's rank?: Boss
What is your character's title?: Hunter
What is your character’s description?:
Build (Height, Weight, Physique, etc.): Hunter stands at a good 6'4" but not from natural design. The physicality of his body however is extremely bulky. Body Color: Pale Eye Color: Blue Hair Color: Black Gender: Male Any Uncommon or Specific Features?: The rest of his body however is littered in scars from all of the treatments and training he's gone through. Scar tissue almost takes up a lot of his body. Meat-tags are on each limb, including the back of his head and on his torso, practical.
What is your character’s personality?: Hunter is rather, emotionally mute. He seems unflinching and unwavering with any emotions however of course most walls have cracks. He is obsessed with making money, completing the mission, simply improving. He just seems to be focused on taking steps forward, none back. He seems to take care of those that are under his control but more likely for the tactical advantage than for them to be happy. Not only that but, he seems very manipulative pitting those around him against one another if it's in his best interest. Most discussions that he does have however, he'd rather finish with a gun.
However the much more sincere side of Hunter only shows with children. The one thing, a mercenary who feels no remorse for killing, won't kill, his children. It's doubtful that it's a sign of morality more of a deep feeling of emotions, that he needs to care for them. This has only been seen however with two subjects as he usually avoids children knowing that it will cause such reactions from himself. This weakness has only since gotten stronger as two beings have entered his life and are there to stay. Finally he has some odd obsession over hiding himself from view, feeling uncomfortable when out of his armor and downright denying showing any bit of flesh in company of others even as little as a hand.
What is your character's history?:
- Isaac Vladivostok was born to a poor impoverished family with already far too many mouths to feed on the scum of the universe planet known as Gilgamesh. How did they deal with their horrible lifestyle and even more strain on their household? They damn near signed the deal with the Devil, escaping poverty by selling their son to a company whom wanted to try and make a new product that morally was questionable and rather illegal. They wanted their own try at building their own soldier, he'd be the test run, if it went well they could refine the process for making the best mercenaries on the market. Ones that were raised, and modified for the field they were expected to perform in.
- He was stripped of his name near immediately after purchased and taken care of in the most minimalistic ways. They wanted to prevent dependencies on caregivers perhaps to even eventually have a factory like system if they ever went with quantity. Meals were near tasteless or bland. They merely had what was needed for the best chances of growth both physically and mentally. Schooling was strict and fast paced. Punishments were dealt liberally and were usually a bit brutal. The only free time was that of toys that were made specifically for a very Behavioralist psychology style to promote violent learning.
- Throughout the entirety of this time upwards until he finished growing later in life at the age of eighteen, Hunter was given many procedures to not only strengthen him but to make him taller and overall intimidating. Scars would lace his body from the years, where growth hormones were injected, and the many surgeries in which rods were widened to stretch the bones and strengthen them as well. Metal plating was also placed in giving up a bit of mobility but over all it was preferred to strengthen points rather that peak speed.
- It was soon noticed through repeated "tests" with sending in scientist personnel that Hunter was becoming increasingly manipulative making subtle lies and social queues to pressure or trick those that had to take care of him rather than that of the distant teaching aide or the robotics that gave basic needs. Attempts at escape were numerous and nearly all staff that made interaction were manipulated at least once before the events were reported and protocol was tightened. over all however he did seem obedient to orders, especially when rewards were given, them usually being not an extra session of pain tolerance testing but none the less obedient.
- At the age of thirteen however his schooling took another step. He was already large he could of been considered a short adult. Physical training doubled and muscle mass increased especially since growth hormones, nutrients, and his diet only seemed to make muscle mass increasing exponential. The other part of this however was desensitizing and training to kill. A companion was eventually placed into the experimental room. A child that would always act as his friend but was always rewarded for betraying Hunter. The experiment only lasted 73 days before the child was almost injured mortally and was taken out of the project. The experiment was considered a success.
- Desensitization became it's own boundary however. One might be capable to attempt to kill someone who continuously wronged them and manipulated them. It is harder to training someone to kill without thinking or hesitation to end a life on command. This would take until roughly the age of sixteen. Shock treatment was at regular use as simulations for missions began to be played in a basic form of virtual reality. When he disobeyed, shocked. When he hesitated, shocked. When he questioned anything involving the mission, shocked. It became learned helplessness, to avoid the shocks he acted. He killed, he destroyed. With years of this changing one's psyche it merely becomes instinct, it's more effective than a habit or enjoying it. It's a pillar of one's being.
- At age eighteen, the armor was fitted around him. He still would be taking drugs for a very long time afterwards to keep his body in a state of perpetual growth but of course his height capped off shortly afterwards at 6'4". Some medicine was needed to balance out the emotions of Hunter as well as some psychotic tendencies that came about by being made a killing machine but overall the first one came out of the batch rather well actually. They expected Hunter to have been a complete failure but fortunately enough his baseline genetics seemed easily malleable to what they intended of him to be used for. So came his apprenticeship as a mercenary under the planet. It was under the one who had dreamed to start it all, his alias, was Skull Face.
- Gilgamesh was a prime area for training, there was always someone who wanted someone else dead, and was willing to pay for it. Hunter primarily took the contracts while Skull Face observed. Hunter proved to be rather brutal on his targets while the defenders he dealt with quickly. Sometimes he tried to take pleasure in his job taunting his target letting them have hope only before crushing it. It was a cruel game of cat and mouse, which he had already won before it began. Skull Face attempted to reprimand this habit over and over however it did not seem to fix it, the mercenary only ever seemed to make things quick when time was money, so that's what it had to become to keep him from... enjoying things too much.
- That's how it went for the next few years but eventually the mantle was handed over. Hunter was to lead his own band of mercenaries with a good starting fund given to him by a company whom invested in his "creation" to begin with. Hunter would form the private military corporation of the Forlorn Rangers. Initially it dealt in hush-hush assassinations on the planet of Gilgamesh however it's tendrils reached outwards from the criminal planet. Things went from very violent to efficient, they didn't want to be known, being under the radar was the preferred method. Hunter usually was not involved firsthand in these situations. When there was to be no survivors or if everything could be destroyed then the leader would usually make an appearance.
- In recent times the mercenaries had become much more like a family having grown a web of personal connections with one another. Hunter while the most distant of all seemed to be the one helping these bonds form more than anything. The only suspected reason was with two occupants whom have been taken under his wing from their corporate founder. The second one was odd but in itself came with a mission upon being received. This one was a failed attempt of remaking someone else, they ordered him to go get the real deal, then share his power over the Rangers. It was his mission, he had to oblige.
What is your character's affiliation?: Mercenary Leader
What do you see as your character's future?: His future is probably going to just be a greedy ascent to power. There will be death, turmoil, and pain along the way but I don't see any of it stopping him unless it brings his own death. He might be a bit more human as he goes along the way, but he might just stay the monster he was always meant to be.
Explain the background and role of your applied race/class?: Hunter is good at killing, it's what he's good at, been trained to do, and he likes war. When he's not obsessed with running the mercenary group he's trying to improve himself, better ways to kill, ways to be more efficient. He doesn't go for the enjoyment of the kill he aims
What would you consider to be your character’s strengths?:
- Patient - Hunter has been known to merely wait out his targets, sometimes staying days to get the perfect opportunity. While time is indeed money, one can not rush perfection and he takes it to the extreme.
- Efficient - Hunter is not for wasting time. A mission is a mission and while he might, take pleasure in his job every now and then, when it comes down to it, no excess of time or supplies will be used. Everything costs and he'd like to make the most out of every job.
- More than Human - Hunter has been modified by current medical knowledge on the public scale. While not up to grade with military standards by a good jump medical expertise was used to make him a bit more than human. His body seems readily accepting of changes to it potentially a reason why he's usually in a suit, maybe a weak immune system as the trade off.
- Immoral - Morality has no point in his mindset. Murdering is something one does, not hesitation, no remorse. While he could be jumping around any set of morals as long as the pay directs him he could either be a white knight, or the darkest of monsters.
- Born Leader - Hunter while being of original design to be that of a solo operative, his ambition made him excel as the head leadership role. Using all of his knowledge and advantages he always tries to make the machine of the fighting force as well oiled as possible, usually inspiring either loyalty or potentially fear in his subordinates.
- Has his Moments - There's always that bit of Hunter that couldn't exactly be suppressed however. While he wishes nothing else than to not be "human" in the sense of not being a killing machine that manipulates those for it's own gains he still has his moments. Certain things seem to set off this quirk and can make this side a bit more of a regular occurrence.
What would you consider to be your character’s shortcomings?:
- Proud/Egotistical - In Hunter's mind there is no one more suited for his position than himself. In what he does no one could ever possibly best him. Thus he doesn't take to other's authority very well, and this might also be due to his ambitious nature.
- Greedy - Hunter is all about the money. Doesn't matter the job most if not all the time, if it pays better than other jobs at the time he'll take it. If someone or something costs him unnecessarily he'll be in a mood many say worse than a woman scorned. The best comparison is to a dragon and his treasure.
- Wroth - A very quick to anger individual, while he might not show it very often his actions will later typically show his rage. However if this rage is merely used productively or destructively is a coin toss, after all he kills for a living, it's a good stress relief it seems.
- Temporary Paralysis - Whether it's from emotional trauma or bodily damage sometimes Hunter just locks up. The time that he is in this state may vary from seconds to hours. It is suspected however to be due to the harsh training throughout his life and his psyche arguing with the body's actions, but that's merely on the assumption that there's still something human left in Hunter.
- Paranoid - There's always some enemy whether unknown or not that is actively seeking to ruin their operations. Something is waiting to go wrong, there is a potential traitor in their midst. Hunter can not stop thinking about what is around them and at the first showing of something unexpected he might become on edge or even explosively violent or agitated.
How many "NPCs" would your character lead and how?: Varying as the PMC Forlorn Rangers may potentially boom and bust several times throughout expectedly however it is to be about eighteen towards the beginning however their is some form of autonomy. In an expected mission or engagement it would only be six to twelve in what is considered an average engagement.
What sources have you used for your application?: DSM-V Several Medical Sites Gilgamesh Previous knowledge from other sprees of just reading And Finally the discussions with my College Bio Instructor, Mr, Ulrich (Yes Kaos you killed my favorite teacher)
Do you agree to follow Resurgence's rules when playing your character?: Yes
