What is your character's class?: Aristocracy – Military, Assassin
What is your character's rank?: Captain
What is your character's title?: Team Leader

Posted Image
(No silver platinum streaks in image but dammit they're there)

Build (Height, Weight, Physique, etc.): 6’9, 230lbs
Body Color:Light
Eye Color:Green
Hair Color:Red, white/platinum streaks
Gender: Male
Any Uncommon or Specific Features?:

His green eyes have the appearance of a stronger than natural hue, occasionally apparent, or what many have noted as being a slight glow.

What is your character’s personality?:

Seth is what some could call cocky at times. He has a great amount of pride and faith in himself. He also holds those who earn his respect in such regards that he would even consider them friends. At the root however is a cold individual, steaming from his upbringing as a Spartan, he could be seen as uncaring or un-enthusiastic at time, but it takes a lot to grab this Spartan's attention. He requires a challenge at all times, that's what made selecting him so simple...

With recent events it should be noted that Seth, like many of the elder Spartan III’s have a deep rooted mistrust in the Gama line of Spartan III’s. Being noted to go as far as calling them, unreliable. And stating that they weren’t meant to outlast the war. Despite this he has had repeated contact with them, and his treatment of those few individuals seems to be unbiased on a professional level.

It should also be noted that Seth has a deep concern for his more immediate family, being the surviving Headhunters. It’s noted that their survival, given their mission statement and tasks throughout the war seem to outweigh that of others. A trait that isn’t as easily hidden away as his disdain for the Gama’s. Another trait would be that Seth is rather antagonistic toward new faces. Nor is he quick to trust, or depend on others and their skills. Stemming from his upbringing as a Spartan he simply expects a certain level of ability, when he isn’t surrounded by that Seth feels like a pack mule of sorts. Something that he himself has stated needing to work on, it’s a mental flaw that he’s all too aware of.

What is your character's history?:

Seth was born on Arcadia to a UNSC Navy Lieutenant. His mother was a communications officer at one point, not that Seth remembers any of that. To him that life all those years ago seems like more of a dream now. Everything was so different, his mother got sick some form of disease which was deteriorating her inside. Now despite the UEG’s prowess in the medical fields it is unknown how she managed to degrade to such a degree.

His father was killed in some form of action in the outer colonies more than likely due to Insurrectionists. While such documentation and knowledge of the event is classified its unknown as to the actual cause or what actions had been taken. (While following the Human Covenant War, Seth was given access to such things he has yet to dive into his former life.) With both parents having been in service to the Naval branch of the UNSC, Seth became a ward of the UEG, one day he was there, the next he was on Onyx. Told his parents were no more. His father killed and his mother gone from this earth. And given the opportunity to strike back at a corrupt world that he could help right.

With those words buried in his gut Seth pushed through training, all the broken bones, mental scares and challenges it took to get so far. Over the course of his training Seth proved to be a crack shot, as well as an outstanding individual in close quarters combat. While these were simply results of the standardized training used for the Spartan’s it was obvious that Seth’s pallet for adaptability was his strongest weapon. Combine that with his wit, and his natural suspicions of your average human lead to Seth developing a complex of constantly picking ‘new’ individuals apart.

Seth, from then on he could only excel. His performance continued to improve at such a rate that he was pulled from his normal squad within Beta Company. Seth had survived two or more specially assigned training missions, would be evaluated for induction into the Headhunter program. Once an overall list of potential candidates was compiled, each soldier's personal files and mission reports were analyzed against a set series of parameters calculated by top Office of Naval Intelligence specialists. And found himself suited up in a modified and mission optimized set of SPI armor with another Spartan from Beta. A Spartan named Victoria 154, she was over a year older from what he could tell. She made it clear that she was the boss of the duo and obviously someone who quickly (took) earned Seth's respect

The two formed a fairly close bond, all they had were each other when on the field. The two of them had grown used to being dropped deep behind enemy lines with a target so impossible that no one but a Spartan could attempt or die trying. They had such a strong bond. Their training continued, well more so his training. It took Seth a while to understand that he was replacing her last partner who died on previous mission.

Less than a few weeks after completing their surprisingly “live” training the Headhunters was sent their first mission together deep within the Outer colonies. Something was spreading like a plague, some force was out there turning people against the UNSC. The insurrection still wasn’t keeping quiet even with the human slaughtering mission of the covenant. Perhaps if they were sent in sooner…no what was growing was obviously more than that. The Insurrection was something that could never be put the rest. The Human-Covenant war was proving that.

And as if speaking of the devil himself it seemed the innies were trading with the frailer of the covenant’s species. So without a second guess the Spartan’s did what they were trained to do, what their orders dictated and planted a HAVOK tactical nuke in the gear that was being transported between the two groups to take out the aliens, the innies, and the damned purple chunk of crap floating in the atmosphere. After doing so something gave them away. Maybe their information was off who knew. No one was sure, the two came under intense fire making extraction difficult. They already had their survival gear picked up by the time someone tipped the enemy off. Their ride was still four minutes out. A life time with limited ammo and the clock ticking.

Despite the close call however the two succeeded and made it clear of the nuclear blast. It was at the point that Victoria knew that Seth had a form of sixth sense, hell they both did. Their movements the way they operated with each other. It was all borderline telepathic. Nothing ever had to be said, they covered each other naturally.

Years passed and they continued to operate efficiently together having yet to fail a mission. Then came the Covenant’s second assault on Arcadia. Seth remembered it was his home. He expressed his feelings to Victoria who knew him better than anyone. NAVSPECWAR gave them direct orders to move deep within enemy occupied territory on Harvest, they beachheads and plant LOTUS anti-tank mines to keep them from moving out to give the UNSC more time.

This resulted in the two using heavy guerrilla tactics to suppress the covenant advance on its flanks. Eventually they were overwhelmed and were forced to retreat, but the UNSC got the time it needed and the headhunters would be extracted.

It should be noted that the Covenant’s ferocity was much more than anyone could’ve predicted. More than likely due to the fact that the covenant had suffered a loss during the first battle of Arcadia. During the Headhunter’s run a plasma mortar got a lucky strike and Seth went flying through the air. All he saw was a bright flash followed by darkness...

Seth's body was recovered by an ONI team and placed in cryo. The high amount of soft tissue damage meant doctors had to flash clone his organs. They kept him on ice to keep him alive for several months. Initially the surgery was a success. The new organs synced with his biometric system perfectly at first. However during recovery he lapsed and had several organ fail and he was forced back into cryo. The organs didn't fully adapt to his altered body as planned. So steps were taken to process organs and then place them under separate constraints for project Chrysanthemum. As a result these organs worked better.

For the time being, Seth was unable to operate as a Headhunter for almost a year. Instead spending all of his time operating on the UNSC Prowler class Savage Glory. The same ship that recovered him. He still served, organizing black ops and assassinations for a group of NAVSPECWAR operatives.

Upon his next return to UNSC territory he was outbound for his next assignment. Being assigned as an aid and general security for Admiral Margaret Orlenda Parangnosky of ONI. His clearance level was quite nice all things considered. With years passing and Seth having the ability to keep tabs on Victoria he watched her progress.

After spending so much time with him, the good admiral could read the Spartan III's turmoil and more over could feel he was going stir crazy. And she had his files at the snap of a finger. She knew his wrap, knew his entire reputation and history.

She made arrangements. Gave him several HVT's to eliminate both covenant and human, because quite frankly the war with the insurrectionists wasn't over. While it was downplayed and fell by the wayside due to the much larger threat. Parangnosky wanted to insure that certain key elements were wiped from existence…And he did just that.

He accepted the kill orders eagerly operating from the UNSC Point of No Return. Successfully executing his orders to the letter, with his own "flare" of course, under the extremely watchful eye of the Admiral. Following his fold back into active duty he was tasked to a squad of ONI sanctioned ODST's. Alpha 020. The operated in deep incursions, generally providing surveillance, sabotage, and assassinations. Which by this point consisted largely of Covenant targets.

Given the Admiral's odd yet unknown respect for the Spartan-III's due to their level of general success, and how well the Headhunters operate. She made Spartan 315 an officer after deciding that his leadership skills and knowledge base was better suited. Though just an Ensign it gave him control over ONI; DA Alpha 0-2-0, which operated from the UNSC Midnight Blitz. Under his command they operated in the shadows on Reach, hitting HVT's and even tying up loose ends. Assassinating some of the UNSC's own less desirables in command positions.

Following these orders they evacuated several ONI assets. However were directed to leave Catherine Halsey behind in the single instants they had to evacuate her following the attack on sword base. At this point Alpha 020 evacuated from Reach. Knowing the outcome. Rumors state that the Spartan is currently being groomed to help head a new project regarding the Spartans however this is unconfirmed...as his very existence is secretive.

He briefly reunited with Victoria and Akumi who were now partners. Taking Victoria's place as she recovered and causing a bit of emotional trauma for the three headhunters. However despite that they worked together until Victora recovered. In which case he returned to Alpha 020 and resumes his service under "grandma"
Unknown to Seth, arrangements were made to have Akumi moved with him to Cleveland, much to his annoyance of being kept out of the loop, it took time but he eventually won Akumi’s cooperation, at this time also being give the use of a Prowler class the UNSC Midnight Blitz for operations during the battle of Earth and thereafter. Following the battle of Australia, Seth and Akumi were reunited with Nick B-301, and Victor B-154. Both of which were in horrible state from the incident.

Seth could only blame himself for not getting them out of there sooner. Despite this there was work that needed to be done. The battle of Cleveland loomed overhead, it would see to Victoria and Nick missing the early stages due to recover. But soon the four headhunters were operating in the AO and shutting the covenant down alongside local Special Forces consisting of ODST’s and the Asymmetrical Warfare Group’s “TF Crow”.

Following these events, and with Intel being streamed to the ONI officer of the events of new Mombasa, and the Flood’s appearance in Africa. The crew embarked on the Midnight Blitz and joined the fleet en route to Ark. Once there they acted as a Prowler shoulder, in secrecy to the rest of the joint Sanghelli and UNSC fleet. They conducted deep recon missions, gathering intel on the Arc itself and recording their findings.

It was here that Seth, while observing Victoria B-154 dirtside would get his closest glimpse of the Flood. While he didn’t have contact or combat experience with them like his former partner, it should be noted that he has no desire to fight such an ”efficient” enemy.

Following the war’s end, Seth went into the business of tracking any surviving headhunters. Providing them with the information they seek, be it their past lives and a ticket out, or an opportunity to continue the fight. This ended up stretching out to other Spartan’s as well as the S-IV program was in the works. It was a plan to create more…humane super soldiers. One that Seth personally didn’t agree with but ultimately it wasn’t his call.

This option was obviously also open to the members of Alpha 0-2-0. The few unaugmented personnel whom he had observed over the years and had shown the capabilities of becoming good Spartans. While unofficially Seth holds his rank as a Captain within ONI, Officially he’s stated and on record shown to be the Fireteam leader of a specialized SPARTAN Fireteam dubbed "Mobius", sub sectioned by Division Six to carry out those more…sensitive or task pained missions. A team comprised solely of Former S-III Headhunters. While it should be noted that new S-IV’s contribute to D-6, this particular Fireteam is of an older makeup.

What is your character's affiliation?: Office of Naval Intelligence, Multi-section, SPARTAN

What do you see as your character's future?: That’s for me to know and for you to find out in the near future. I will say that one hell of a Ride awaits those who pay attention.

Explain the background and role of your applied race/class?:

Aristocracy – Military: While leadership traits are something every Spartan picks up. A natural leader isn’t something that’s made. However it wasn’t his time in the Spartan Program that honed his leadership skills. It was actually his time with ONI, having been groomed for the position in which he sits now within ONI respectfully. It should be noted that his treatment of those under his command has been known to annoy those above him as well as his O-6 fiscal class. To put simply, he has a tendency to grossly reward success, but just as easily becomes wrath in the face of failure, something that’s been brought on by his…subsequent childhood and upbringing within ONI itself.

Assassin: Being trained as a Headhunter, and countless missions in deep enemy territory with little to now support. And even once his days as a headhunter officially ended, Seth was used to eliminate multiple priority targets throughout the human covenant/insurrectionist war. The training he had received from both respective organizations has only honed him, being a master of sabotage, range interdiction/kill, and the ever so present silent kill/infiltration.

What would you consider to be your character’s shortcomings?:
-Quick to alienate himself even from those he would view as his family.
-Struggles to find a middle ground between his agency life, and being a Spartan
-Strong protective complex of his “family”
-Zealous
-Over thinks many situations
-Biased
-Full understanding of the inner workings of ONI

What would you consider to be your character’s strengths?:
-Trainined and operates in the harshest conditions and climates
-Natural leader
-Full understanding of the inner workings of ONI
-

What sources have you used for your application?:

Do you agree to follow Resurgence's rules when playing your character?:

Shite, I forgot this was here, my bad.

I like his distrust and resentment of the Gamma-Company Spartans, might make things interesting down the line. That said, let's get through some of the finer points of the application, at the risk of sounding nit-picky.

Para 2 dude, the Insurrection was largely subsided during the Human-Covenant War, not that it's a big deal. It's just most S-III's are recruited from Orphans from colonies that have been glassed, from what I understand it ensures motivation. Unlike the Spartan-II program the main goal of the Spartan-III program is to mass-produce Super-soldiers to fight aliens.

Might want to do a class revision, the "Assassin" Class itself is more of an evolution of Agent, Infiltrator and Spymaster classes which are about Intelligence gathering, disguises, torture, HUMINT and SIGINT, that kind of thing. Class doesn't appear representative of the character's actual skills and attributes.

As mentioned earlier mate, the Insurrection was more or less docile during the Human-Covenant war.

Is this referring to the rubble, Ghost? Because that's what I think it is. If so, you might want to have a read of this. It was never the UNSC's intention to obliterate the Innies and Aliens here, that was the Covenant's goal you nuke-the-innies genocidal maniac xD, the battle's purpose was to evacuate civvies and give the covies a hard time while getting the Exodus habitat out of system.

Bro, the first battle of Arcadia happened in 2531, when the Alphas were first drafted into the Spartan-III project xD, in 2549 it was glassed by the Covenant, with no ground pounding to speak of.

Flash cloning of organs is pretty damn safe. But his cloned organs wouldn't be stronger bro, they'd just be the same as the old ones before they got fucked, lol.

Well, it was. For the whole period of the Human-Covenant War, the only Innies I see them wacking are dudes allegedly co-operating with the Covenant.

Okay, the UNSC don't assassinate their own people unless there is credible evidence they are spies. The wording makes it sound like "I'm in ONI and don't like this person, Seth, go whack them." >:P

Well, Headhunters do exist, the program itself and their operations are clandestine and under ONI's thumb. Another thing I do want to add, is that Headhunters aren't selected during training per se, they need to survive two or more "Training" Missions before being scooped up.

Ogawd, Fabulous Spartan detected xD

Don't see anything else that needs comment atm.

Now to rape you.

I stated his father was "probably" killed by insurrectionists. Meaning its something I plan to dig into in charcter, and never stated the fate of his mother outright...

And while this tends to be a reoccurring point for you. Yeah the Insurrection is fairly dormant, but taht didn't mean tehy were out of the picture. To put simply they tried to keep themselves from being a target for the covenant, which really didn't mean shit. If a planet was a target it was a target.

Another point. Arcadia was noted to be involved in heavy fighting prior to its glassing. On this subject. One, I'm sure I stated this before but it is the second battle of arcadia. Two there were elements on the ground prior to its being glassed....and three...Headhunters. Your point just died.

While I note taht I make it seem like there's some large scale conflict going on durring hte Fall of Arcadia, that's not hte point I was trying reveal...I'll edit and properly convey that at somepoint...but yeah. ONI says suck it.

And so what if I like nuking and possibly obliterating entire planets because of insurrectionist..fuck them. They're not the only ones I would nuke...like the flood...or the little bug guys... But that's beside the point. Xenocide/genocide is fun.

Now about the headhunter's and their "training methods" Those training missions, are indeed a selection process. Because even if one survives those two in placed "structured missions" Didn't guarantee them a slot as a headhunter. Some were put on teams, others simply remained with their respective company.

Oh, adn about the ONI thing. Er...yes...yes they do. Especially Parangosky. But no that's not what I was trying to convey even if it is true >.> I'll edit that later.

Also i'm not stating that his organs or necessarily better because they were flashcloned. Taht's what it seems like your argument is. I'm stating that he's better off than the average person due to augmentation, and subsequently the augmentation process of those organs to keep them from being rejected by his body. To put plainly there's no loss of function or struggle of upkeep because UEG medical shit is amazing. Once more something I should properly convey because you have an Aussie mind and that fact escapes me from time to time.

I have to use..elongated words with you.

Now. The insurrection...back to them. The best time to crush any known cell of douche bags that usually start crap. Say a bigger badder douche rolls in, and it makes the former's balls shrink and they hide in a hole.

Well damn that's great, focus your bulk on the new threat...however. Take the chance and use the distraction to snuff out those former problems... I can't honestly see the UNSC simply letting Insurrection go just because the Covenant pop up...because they don't. And if they did well they're fucking retarded because no thriving system of power could succeed like that and I would in-story go through the process of making an Innie for the sake of simply destroying that government for sucking ass. Moving on.

Which brings me to the first mention of the rable or wtf ever its called. No. That was an event that's separate from Seth's history...directly at least. There were other groups that thought to make it in the Covenant so they wouldn't get wrecked...its simply inevitable. People will kiss ass to survive...happens all the time.

Now i'll make some edits in time but um...yeah I'm gonna pack a lip, listen to some music and chill for a while.

Oh, and you fuckin' a-right he's fabulous. B-)

I'm satisfied with the backstory now, especially when some of the terminology used in the application has been explained. I'm going to slap my +1 on Seth and move him to approved.
