David Wayne Wilcox November 12, 1948 – March 30, 2013 David was born to Wayne and Verna Wilcox in Grand Junction, Colorado. He moved to Rifle, Colorado with his mother and graduated from Rifle High School in 1967. In 1968, David joined the U.S. Navy. He served as an Electronics Engineer during the Vietnam Conflict aboard the Battleship USS New Jersey. After discharge he lived in Colorado Springs, working construction, and driving school buses. Most recently, he lived in Grand Junction, working for Mesa County in transportation. He authored and maintained a scroll and pen website, developing a chronology of biblical events. He leaves behind two sons, Michael Wilcox, and Justin Hill, and daughter, Rachael Eichorn; two grandchildren, Owen and Sawyer; his mother, Verna Thomas, and brother, Roger Wilcox, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents. Martin Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial services are Monday, April 8th, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, 2830 D Road, Grand Junction, Colorado. Memorial contribution may be made in David's honor to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado, 3090B North 12th Street, Grand Junction, or to Canyon View Vineyard Church.
