GP & Skills

As you know SCRAP is a non stat rp and if you did not know, well now you do. At the start of making a character and enrolling in school, we all are on the same level. You are not stronger nor are you faster than the next person. You may be smarter and more cunning due to your style of rp, but that's it. For you to become stronger than the next individual you will need to earn GP (Graduation Points.) Think of Graduation Points as the average skill point in any average mmorpg, or really any rp. You earn them through rp and events and exchange them for skills. All students start with 0 Graduation points and gain a set amount of GP depending on the length of your post.

As previously stated, you may exchange GP for skills. Skills are basically enhancement of all sorts, may it be to your physical abilities or your unusually powers. We are all a step up in the human evolution, are bodies are not restricted to the natural limitations of the majority. Through training, breaking down our muscles and building them back up, we can achieve feats like non other. May it be super speed, strength etc. Think of skills as you taking on a school curriculum, class or even a course, whatever you wanna call it just so that you can become stronger. Below are some of the standard everyday classes (skills) you will see some of your peers with.

Skill Set
SkillDescription
Super Speed[Name] has graduated from his/her standard level of physical training at the academy. Now being able to achieve super speeds, putting him/her a step above his/her peers.
Super Strength[Name] has graduated from his/her standard level of physical training at the academy. Now being able to achieve super strength , putting him/her a step above his/her peers.
Perception [Name] has graduated from his/her standard level of physical training at the academy. Now having a higher level of perception than the norm, putting him/her a step ahead of his/her peers.
Combat Training[Name] has graduated from his/her standard level of physical training at the academy. Now being well rounded in the use of martial arts, may it be with his/her fist or a weapon, he/she is a step above his/her peers.

These are just some standard skills you will see others with, now be as creative as you like, but don't go overboard, it stills has to be approved by moderation. As previously stated once more, you exchange GP for Skill training. You have an unlimited amount of skill slots, but to fill a skill slot you need to pay an equal amount of GP. For example if you already have two skills and you want a third you will need to spend three GP to fill that spot.

The example above should be easy to understand, but to be clear I will explain still. The user has 8 GP, he has spent 6 so that he can have three skills. He now has 2 GP left and for him to get a fourth skill he needs 2 more GP.

Simple enough to explain and now for the final thing you should know about Skills and GP. How to improve a skill you already have. You will definitely run into someone who has the same training as you, but who has focused more on this particular training. You can improve a Skill by funneling GP into it. There is four levels to a skill and will be explained below.

Skill Level
LevelGP Used
Freshman25
Sophomore 50
Junior 75
Senior 100

At the start when you gain a skill, it's only at its base level being 0 and practically does exactly what it says so. When you decide to invest in a skill, you can make it stronger or add effect of your choosing. There are not set effect and list for this, it's really up to the user but here is an example.

Your Skill Set
SkillDescription
Perception[Name] has graduated from his/her standard level of physical training at the academy. Now having a higher level of perception than the norm, putting him/her a step ahead of his/her peers.

Freshman: [Name] has decided to take his/her training a step further, becoming even more versatile in the art of perception. Now being able to sense the unseen with ease. Easily being able to snuff out stealthy opponents.
25GP

Now your own Freshman level skill may be different, but you ultimately be able to sense or see those with Freshman level speed. That's all in all what you need to know about GP. It's very important to prioritize when it come to getting skills and be as creative as possible, this is what will set your character apart from everyone one and some powers may really go well with your skill set, or covering for skills you don't have.
