Before I was banned, I had a keen intent to upload my first piece of Sims 2 CC to ModTheSims. Now that I can't, because you know, I'll share the advice from a thread I found which had information that wasn't on the 'proper' tutorial.
1. In body shop, export the clothing you want to change. 2. Make any graphical changes you want to make, if any. 3. IMPORT BACK INTO GAME. 4. Run SimPE. Click "File > Open" and browse to \My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\SavedSims. In there, find your project. The file name should be a short sequence of characters, followed by the name of the project. 5. Under the resource tree, (top left window in SimPE), click "Property Set." Click on what appears in the Resource list (right next to the resource tree). 6. Go down to the CPF editor. Click on the line that begins "gender." It should be the fourth line down or so. 7. to the right, edit the field that says "value." If you want the clothing to be for females, make it read "0x00000001." For males, "0x00000002." 8. Press the "commit" button under the value field. 9. Click File > Save, or click on the floppy disc icon. Do not change the file name or directory unless you KNOW what you're doing!! 10. Run the game. It does not always work in Body Shop before running the game!!
