Destiel Trash. Deal With it. Also: GM, Admin

So with the popularity and stability of the room gaining attention, I've been getting an increasing amount of "can I be this uber thing here?" from new interested parties. In the last week alone I've encountered five such proposals from people who had never logged in. I'm about to set some more clear parameters, so I can simply supply someone with what they need, and need to know, if interested. AN EXCEPTION WILL BE STATED AT THE BOTTOM. First of all, review our Character Creation FAQ and Default Accepted Monsters faq. They will still need to be reviewed by an Admin or Moderator, but no extensive discussion will need to be had about them. However, if you're looking for something above those limits, we're going to have to have a talk. Step One: How long have you been in the room? This may seem cliquey at first but you need to understand, the room has a certain story oriented balance. Even something as little as a week can give you great insight on what our systemic balances are, and trying to propose a major villain without understanding the community you're proposing them for is subject for massive failure. Stories are intricate pieces of work and our leading villains have always been tailored to weave with our current userbase. I will not accept a high tier character presentation until you have been in the room for at least two weeks, and we will likely spend a few weeks making sure we have something community oriented. In general, don't expect to step forward as a lead villain until you've integrated with us for about a month. We also highly suggest making a human alt of some sort first, as monsters and bad guys can only have so much base interaction relevance in a proper SPN room and if all you invest in is them, you're going to find yourself sitting at the sideline a lot. Or just getting murdered in rapid time because you want to introduce your character to most scenes, which overplays and burns out villains. Step Two: What is your story idea? I need something beyond "I'm going to want to smash things", or "I'm going to try to steal this power seat." - I need to make sure you have a clear-cut, story oriented idea that engages the better part of the community, or at least leaves the potential to be engaged by them, rather than just sort of being a glory spotlight hog with the entire community as backup singers to your idea. Give me a lay of your vision and let me see that you have an understanding on how to integrate the userbase as a whole to a concept. Yet another reason high-tier proposals are slightly time-contingent - because you're not going to be able to make an educated presentation on how to involve the community if you don't know how the community runs. Step Three: What relevance does the race or power set provide to your character? Biggest problem I see in presentations is a lot of people build something they think is wicked-cool and then try to staple story relevance ideas later. The biggest thing that makes us love SPN is the human struggle, even against the mystical. If you're presenting a story idea, please make sure that the character/monster type you're asking for is something the story is contingent on, rather than it being a glamorous accessory. A smart werewolf can be just as, if not more, dangerous to human hunters as an OP retard demon lord of some sort. So I need to see that there's an honest effort on intelligent story weaving rather than power dependency. Step Four: Are you prepared to lose at any time? No, we don't script our results beyond base story idea planning - things do come down to combat. But when there's 30 different players running around a room, most of which have hunter-esque alts, you are going to be drastically outnumbered. You have to be prepared to play smart, not power-reliant. And most of all, you have to be ready to lose. If you're more attached to a character idea than a story idea in which the best room health comes from the heroes winning, then this isn't the room for you or that character idea. ----- EXCEPTION: I will allow early high tier story presentations if you are willingly submitting characters or monsters to be the "monster of the week", because this tells me you're entirely ready and willing to get gangbanged and lose pretty much off the cuff. I will always be willing to quick review and approve an idea under the "Monster of the Week" contingency, as long as it fits current show and RP canon (IE, the alpha werewolf is already dead in our RP, so there won't be a new Alpha Wolf, etc.) If you're just looking for a quick one-shot to be fun, ping me, I'll set you up.
