Amazingly enough, even *I* could tell that the last all-in flopped two pair. |

Fact is Piley, things like this happen. There are certain nit picks I can take with this hand, like for instance, in a tournament style game, if I have a made hand, I punish others hard. If I have the best hand, and there is a chance of someone drawing out on me, like you have here, I punish others for wanting to see cards...yes, all in. I think that would have been my first play, pre flop. jack1-finger raises all in, you shove right there, the others may not come in. If they do, they made bad plays. Sometimes that happens. If you have the best hand at the time, and there is a suck out possible, PUNISH THEM if they want to see cards. My point here Piley, is that yes, you raised, but with so many people behind you, I don't think you raised enough to push them out. Imagine if you shove on your first action....Fat mama is now looking at KQ and asking herself if it is worth all her chips to go in as a dog and try to suck out. Rather than being able to re-raise you, and think she may be ahead or 50/50 in the hand. Your weak raise gave strength to Fat mama's hand and position. In my mind, her raise was to try and push you out because she didn't believe your weak raise. I think you were being a bit greedy and trying to be cute with aces..and it will get you burnt sometimes. Not sure if Djinn agrees with my assessment, but 3 hands drawing against me and my aces is not what I want in a tourney style game. Edited by Febiv, Feb 25 2010, 09:45 AM.

I have not cashed over $250 but agree with everything in Franks statement. Seeing the 120 guy shove is a given and you should have raised to 1500+ i think with that many players to follow. Worse comes to worse you double up the 120 stack guy on a bad flop for you. Other wise the weak raise is just a donation and a further commitment to a hand that gets beat more then not it seems to me in my experiences Edited by Strangla, Feb 27 2010, 03:39 AM.
