Day 1a Draws 2,601 There are about 1,200 signed up so far for tomorrow's Day 1b, and there's plenty of room for more (about 2,500 more, in fact). So far spotted playing (From our players) Brock Parker- busted Kathy Liebert- busted Lex Veldhuis- busted Andy Black- busted Joe Cada - busted Tom Marchese busted Tom “durrrr” Dwan- busted John Phan- busted Nam Le - busted Gavin Smith -busted tony cousinea -the "buffalo bills of poker"- busted Fabrice Soulier-WSOP 1 K is about to start! So kool to play today! yeee- busted Jeff Madsen-busted: Lol well we got commited on 245 flop with set of 2's vs bens 68. Turn 7.. Down to 50 in chips lol Also according to Annette she is Watching #Eurovision 2010. Norway (We're hosting cause we won last year) butchered it so bad hahahahah, pathetic... so either she is in day 1B of this event(most likly) or she is another DNP, i would bet on DAY 1B though since she is mostly just a NL player i don't see her entering in the O H/L tomorrow 2nd also doesn't look like Annie duke will be in this event today or tomorrow, she was on twitter about some app cell phone tourney thing, she most likly will enter tomorrows O H/L event she loves those events and she played in it last year. There was a raise to 75 in mid position and Gavin Smith, already short-stacked after, "Missing draw after draw," according to tablemate Kara Scott, called in the cutoff. They went heads up to the 10s9s9h flop and the original raiser bet out 325. Smith pushed for 775 total, and his opponent made the call. Opponent: Ah10c The soon-to-be-busted Smith:8h10h No joy from the turn 3s or river 6s, and Smith is no longer in contention for this particular bracelet. |

Veldhuis Takes a Big Hit After a preflop raise, Lex Veldhuis and three other players saw a flop of Jh9d5c. Veldhuis bet 350 and was called by one player and the other two folded. The turn was the 4c and both players checked. After the 2d fell, Veldhuis took a few moments to bet 2100 and was instantly called by his opponent. Veldhuis shrugged a bit and then mucked his cards and his opponent turned over KhJh, good for a pair of jacks and the pot. |

Kathy Liebert Eliminated (also offical Madsen eliminated) Kathy Liebert had just 1,150 when she moved all in preflop with A-Q offsuit and was called by the pocket sevens of an opponent. The board ran out 8,6,3,2,6 and Liebert was eliminated. |
