180+ pages for Comprehensive Rules alone WTF! Do I at least get college credits for this shit? LOL! I think I will have some reading material at tournaments now. Need to get them all printed up first though. Love my job! |

Save yourself the headache of printing & reading - and just find out what you don't already know. Go to judge.wizards.com, and create practice tests; the questions that you miss will explain the correct answers (already a good study guide) and also quote rules references. If you notice a trend - say, you're always stumbling over 613.1 (interaction of continuous effects, aka layers) - then that's the area you want to study. And, whenever you're at an event, you'll be amazed at how helpful judges can be - most of us just love to talk about rules & policy. Just don't start with "So, I have Experiment Kraj, Mimic Vat, March of the Machines, and Death-Mask Duplicant on the battlefield, and Mimic Vat and Death-Mask Duplicant both have +1/+1 counters on them..." ![]() d:^D |

Wait, does that work? Agreed with Scott about the practice tests. If nothing else, they will get you thinking about how the rules interact with each other, and which (for lack of a better term) takes precedence. They were invaluable to me in figuring out complex interactions when I got to my Rules Advisor test. I also recommend that you take some time reviewing the infractions guide, whatever it's called now. As Magic players, we have a lot of the rules down just from regular play; it's the "something went wrong, what happens now?" that we don't have much experience with (simply because it's our job to avoid them). That's what tripped me up on my L1 test. I should probably think about taking the L1 again. |

The issue with that is that it requires me to sign in. I have tried multiple times to get in contact with customer service to adjust this issue. Yes, I know about retrieve password, the issue with this is I don't remember which e-mail I had when setting up my DCI number. This is why I need help from customer service in getting the e-mail that is associated with my DCI number updated and reset my password that way. I will be e-mailing them again today when I get home, and maybe even mailing them a letter. |

Here's the page with links to additional docs: WizCom Rules At the moment, all of the links on there appear to be broken; they've been notified. Frank, I just sent you an e-mail via the Judge Center - whichever e-mail address was set up is the one it'll use. If you don't see it within an hour or so, it must be an old, obsolete one. d:^D |

Well, I called the 800 number and finally got ahold of someone live rather than a "that extension is not accepting calls at this time". Easy enough to do in fact, he switched it for me right over the phone and sent a PW reset to it. Thanks guys, will finally be able to get and see my personal information. |
