What is this I don't even First off, I ended up Mid despite buying courier and wards because we had three supports. I don't even know how that happened in a random Pub but ok. So I was mid against Sniper and that was laughably easy. Once I had Ult, I killed him every time I saw him. It was just a stupid comp that turned into what was prolly my best all-around game ever. I've had more kills but this was just domination. |

Man, someone on Dire must've been like "Dude, Crystalis is overpowered, everyone should get one". Mid Lina is fairly legit. She was never picked in TI4 because she's kind of a substandard support (only really there for damage and a fairly unreliable stun, and I think Skywrath was the more prevalent pick for "support with damage") and Fiery Soul is very good but not enough to fix some other problems she has with carrying, namely a horrid attack animation, pretty 'meh' Agility gain (1.5, but to her credit a 3.2 Intel gain is pretty damn nice), and a steroid that requires you to keep casting spells with a long animation instead of actually hitting stuff. That said, if you can overcome the attack animation she can definitely hold her own with other mids. She uses the levels really well (because if a Level 8 Lina comes and ganks you at level 5 you know you're in deep shit) and almost every intel item has a use on her. Darkie says I have a hard-on for Blink Dagger but I really like it as a pickup there, given the fact that it can be hard to approach Sniper otherwise, and it's just fantastic for mobility and surprise attacks (particularly good if you're ahead). Euls is a good pickup - I hope you at least one attempted to Euls someone and time it so the stun explodes as they're landing - and I have qualms about Bloodstone as an item in general but it's by no means a bad pickup if you're doing as well as you were. The Void Stone was for either Sheep (<3), Linkens (also solid), or Refresher (in which case you got balls but might as well go for the domination) so I'm interested in which path you were taking. A big number of supports can hold their own in mid, I know people used to run AA mid, Lion can do the same as Lina, etc. Props for making it work (and leading the Hero Damage category) and picking up the slack for Shadow Shaman : p |

Yeah, as soon as I killed Sniper the first time I solo farmed a little and once my Ult was back up I started roaming. Managed to get a double kill in bot lane pretty quickly. I tried the Euls combo once, it went very poorly, mostly because I was jumped by three of them while I was waiting for the one I singled out to come back down. That ended my first ever GODLIKE streak in a pub =( Bloodstone was mostly a 'holy shit, I have a lot of money' pickup. I've never gotten it on her before. I honestly can't remember what the Void Stone was for anymore. I just woke up lol. I'd need to see the recommended items list again. But yeah, good times. Wish I could do that more often =P |

I just had a thought and I think we need to try this. We should try to do a game with FV and Phoenix. Later in the game when everybody is all grouped up, Phoenix should dive and Ult into the enemy group. Then, FV comes in and Chronos over everybody attacking the Phoenix egg. By the time the Chrono wears off, Phoenix should just about have been reborn, stunning everybody that just came out of the Chrono, leaving everybody else with a free few seconds of attacking. |

I got a few ideas for comps to drop here actually. in order: support support carry carry mid Phoenix Omniknight Centaur Warrunner Faceless Void Magnus my idea behind this is Phoenix/FV lane, Centaur/Omni lane, magnus mids. I've seen and performed the Centaur/Omni lane. it works very well early game against squishy opponents. the idea is for centaur to dive a bit in lane and stomp, the Omni will Q centaur, and centaur finishes with his W. its a beautiful combo that produces. Phoenix and FV are for the reasons dwesty mentioned. In teamfights, we'd have Phoenix be the initiator. dives in, ults, FV chrono's the group, then magnus and centaur warrunner would enter the fight together while the phoenix ult's stun is going. Magnus ults, brings them together, Centaur stomps for the stun, drops his W, and then clean up. I can see an effective wombo combo coming from this. It's a teamcomp I bet would work and I'd like to try sometime, but its built for the dreaded 2-1-2. or you can run Faceless void in the offlane and put phoenix in the safelane. EDIT oh yeah, and omni? he's mostly there for ulting and early game lane dominance/farm for centaur. he'd need blink so fast if we would hope to pull this combo off early and stop any of them from snowballing Edited by tfghost92, Aug 18 2014, 03:39 PM.

Assuming that FV is the safelane carry and Phoenix does something (idk what Phoenix's roles are), I'm thinking Witch Doctor, Queen of Pain, and Bounty Hunter. A 1-1-3 with offlane BH and mid QoP. So it's pretty simple: Phoenix dives in and ults, Void chronos while WD lays the ward, and QoP ults. They're likely dead after that but in case someone manages to escape, BH will finish the job. There could be plenty of flaws with this one so it's open for change. |

One thing to remember is that Phoenix isn't in CM so we'd have to do this in an All Pick setting. |

I like my 3-1-1 setups so that's safelane Void and offlane Phoenix. WD and Skywrath are two supports that can destroy someone in Chrono, but correctly played they won't hit 6 for a while and I'd imagine you won't still be playing 3v1 by that point, not to mention there's no reliable way to protect your Void in the early game outside of a RNG-reliant bouncing stun and just straight damage. Phoenix is a playmaker and not a super lategame hero (Void still makes up for that, though) so you'd need to pick a mid that either makes space for Void to farm forever (and since the point is for Phoenix/Void you want Void up and running around midgame instead of farming during that period). Mid matchup is always variable but you either pick a playmaker like Puck or QoP, or a farming mid. My go-to would be Invoker because he, too, can take advantage of a Chrono with stuff like Chaos Meteor and EMP. Supports need to be able to protect Void and I think you need a backup since this really hinges on Void's Chrono and if he gets silenced or has a bum Chrono it's going to be bad. Abbadon can remove silences and disables with his Aphotic Shield and has protection for Void, and as far as offensive capability I'd want us to have some sort of anti-splitpush measure so... that's kind of a hard one, actually, Jakiro is probably my best bet and he has Macropyre to combo with the Chrono and Phoenix stun, plus defensive measures for Void. So I've got: Void/Abbadon/Jakiro Invoker Phoenix First teamcomp that came to mind. Could probably think of other stuff too. |

First warning, Void cannot pick up Sceptre in this combo. Level 16 ult is 5 seconds, but goes up to 6 with Sceptre, which is the same duration as Supernova, so the stun would have to be partially within the timeframe of the Chrono, which is a waste. My only problem with this idea is that it involves using Phoenix's ult as an initiate, when the best part of that ult is that it instantly heals you completely. It'd be better if there were some plays to be made before the Supernova/Chrono combo so that Phoenix isn't wasting ult as much. Which is why I propose: 1. Safelane carry Void 2. Safelane support WD 3. Safelane support Tide 4. Mid Ember 5. Offlane Phoenix Phoenix and Ember go in. They won't be alone very long, so they do what they can and when it starts getting bad, Phoenix ults (this will probably only take like 3 seconds because the point is to make a bad engage). Ember should be standing as near as many people as he can and pop E quickly. Void Chronos, leaving everyone stuck taking two sources of DoT plus whatever damage Void does. WD should drop death ward like, immediately after the Chrono and just wait because... When Chrono is up, Supernova will stun. Tide can blink in and Anchor Smash or whatever and Ember can Sleight of Fist. When that first stun wears off, hella fuckin' Ravage. More SoF. More senseless Void autos. At this point, any creeps caught in the mayhem should be dead, so if by some miracle there are survivors, WD can throw Cask and it will only hit heroes. This part shouldn't even be necessary though. If the other team has lots of/is good at silencing or stunning, the initial Ember/Phoenix thing might have to get cut. |

I envision this scenario obliterating the other team to the point that the Phoenix Ult isn't 'wasted' due to the healing thing. I mostly want it to be doing its burn damage to everything stuck in the Chrono, then the resulting stun allows everybody else to destroy the leftovers. Idk, it was just a thought. |
