Zeus

I screwed the pooch on this one but the laning wasn't exactly helpful. A Zeus/Morph lane is not ideal, just FYI for the future. I got a bit too Q-happy in lane, which wasn't smart because I was Maxing W. I mostly just liked the low CD on Q and it was helping my farm. Zeus autos are terrible.

I also kept finding myself stuck in vulnerable positions. I have a terrible habit of that and it's so difficult for me to not do it. All this time and I still have terrible positioning. But yeah, being a Nuker means you have to be alive. 9 deaths is unacceptable. Fortunately, you guys had my back.

Windranger

Bleeeeeeeh. I let myself get ganked way too easily in this one. NS caught me farming multiple times and his slow made it impossible to escape, even when popping E. This was my first attempt at 'carry' WR so I wasn't totally sure how aggressive to be when trying to farm. I tried to stay away from wherever Lightning was since he was our most important Hero in this match. As it is, I had the lowest HD on the team so I had minimal impact at best.

Part of the problem was our teamcomp, part of the problem was Axe being Axe and therefore being an asshole. I feel like maybe we should've rolled with Pudge being safelane and WR being offlane but idk.

Shadow Demon

The aggro trilane was great. Created a ton of chaos and allowed Undying to get farmed pretty quickly. It's a shame we allowed them to catch us with our pants down when they sent help and we had no counter but such is Dota life.

My personal play in this one was somewhat acceptable, I'd say. I have a bad habit of doing one of two things: going in completely recklessly when I shouldn't or running away when I shouldn't. I rarely make the correct call and it causes me a ton of problems. There were multiple instances where I ran away when I shouldn't have and I apologize. Again, you guys made up for my shortcomings so woo.

wait wut

I don't even wanna relive that Pudge game, but with Ogre I canceled SB's ult during its cast time a bunch, which was super fun. Ogre is pretty cool.

Ember was lol. We stomped that trilane super hard and I don't think they even did anything wrong.

The two things I remember doing terribly wrong that game were both just overextensions. After we killed Ogre or whoever in the first fight, Brew had super low health and I had Q up, so I went for him, and landed the Q, but he was under tower and level 1 Q does like no damage and hardly lasts at all, so I died mostly from tower hits while Brew lived with 5 HP.

And then later, DP was retreating while we were pushing tier 4's, and I ulted over to her because she was low, but she BKB'ed right when I got there, so I couldn't Q which was the only way I was gonna get her outside fountain, so then she just turned and kited me with ult for the most unnecessary death ever.

Ember was hella comfort, but he's also probably my most inconsistent main, so I don't feel that bad. Compare that scrim to this game.

Also, I didn't pick Ember. Everyone else picked first and left me with Ember. Also also, Skadi Ember is legit.

Also also also, one time I got hit by a Ravage and sadly popped BKB afterwards, thinking I already missed its best use, but that was the first time Tide used Refresher, so I ended up using it between ults and it was swaggin'.

My only comments about other people's play from yesterday would be:

1. LB's LC kinda didn't do anything. If we had been crazy organized, we could've initiated on them with a Duel/Doom combo on DP and Tide, which would've basically won every fight instantly, but that works better in theory than it actually would've.
2. I think but am not totally sure, that a couple times, Ghost Doomed Tide after Ravage (before he had Refresher). I get why you can't always Doom Tide, because he's off on the side and it's impossible to get Doom off after Blink and before ult, but if he does it get off, just ignore him because he hardly contributes to the fight after that.
I'm not sure Dooming Dazzle is a bad idea. If he Graves DP for instance, that's however many more seconds of that fucking intrepid ult slowly murdering everyone. Also, I was a lot of our teamfight potential, and all I had to help me not die was armor (and Pipe I guess), and Weave destroys all that armor.

I really think Sceptre is carry WR's best item (level 16+ ofc), but it wouldn't have helped at all that game so it doesn't matter.

Am still mad that Undying somehow translated to lategame and outkilled me.

Undying had boots at, like 4.5 minutes. That was what I was referring to.

and then there were three.

just Broodmother, Night Stalker, and Leshrac left.

thoughts on Ember and Dark Seer? well, I'll start with Ember. I would say I liked it, but I was at a complete loss for what to do. I didn't feel comfortable with skill building or item building, I had no clue what to do in fights and just got pathetically wiped off the map. not to mention we played against a jesus like pudge AND we were down for most of the game. I would say I enjoyed what I DID do right though, and would like to take a few more games in as Ember to get better and start fresh.

On to Dark Seer. loved it, so much fun. I did pretty well, in my own opinion, in Surges, Ion Shells, and Vacuums. I didn't have a lot of sweet opportunities for Replica, and when i did drop replica, I don't think it made all that big a difference, but its an interesting ult and I can see the teamfight potential in it. I laned with BB and we laid the smackdown on PA and Dazzle early, and the team did a good job at making creepskip Axe our bitch. I learned very fast that Dark Seer is clearly not a right clicker and the bulk of his damage comes from Ion Shell. in fact, Dark Seer is such a bad right clicker that I didn't even know he was a melee hero until I tried to actually melee. and he just punches people. wtf. Still, fun hero and I want to play him more often.

Thoughts on Ember game:

Skill build is okay-ish. One point in Q first is pretty standard, but I used to never do that, so I can't judge that much. Also, Q is really mana expensive, so you don't really wanna be spamming it early, which is why I usually max W second (plus it drops the CD from 30 to 6). You definitely should have at least one point in W way before 10 though. You can use it to kill barely living fleeing enemies or just for easy harass. It takes so little mana that it's the only skill you can really afford to use pretty recklessly.

You got Battlefury and, I assume, were working on Crystalys/Daedalus, which is fine, but you really didn't get there at all, which is probably bad. One time LB called Ember the most farm reliant hero in the game, and he wasn't totally wrong. Yeah, like Spectre needs farm more, but the difference is that with her ult and W, Spectre can still contribute if she has no farm. Ember with no farm literally cannot do anything. I'm gonna fault your lack of items on
*audience gasps*
*a baby cries*
last hitting.

You had a Bracer and Stout Shield endgame, so I assume you never sold anything, which means you never had a Quelling Blade. Unless you're gonna get Drum, there's no point in getting a Bracer really. The extra 6 strength isn't gonna save you from Pudge, and that money could've gotten you a QB + 300 gold, which is most of the cost for your Blades of Attack. Ember is really weird to LH with early for some reason. I usually still get a QB on him despite him being like my fourth most played.

also, optimal build is this

lol idfk how 2 DS

oh yeah, about that, Leshrac kept stealing my farm and I was furious and then toward the end, the one guy was like "report lesh, carry lesh bad idea" and I went "WHAT DO YOU MEAN CARRY LESH. IS THAT WHY YOU KEPT SNIPING ALL MY FUCKING FARM"

I was livid.

I'm digging the Hand of Midas on 85 LH Doom.

I feel pretty bad for that Drow.

Doom laned with Sniper and neither of them could really deal with Tidebringer + Soul Assumption so we destroyed that lane. Drow was against tbast on Shadow Fiend so you do the math there, and Veno/Ember lost lane to KotL/Clock. Dwest and I basically kept the team in the game as evidenced by him having the combined hero damage of Ember + SF. Felt good that we carried that game immediately after we beat them in the scrim.

and with that, I now have played every hero in the game. I wanna thank you guys for sticking by me through this and giving me tips and helping me along the way. Nightstalker was tons of fun and I was glad to finish off this new heroes list with a bang like that. Jugg left at the last 10 minutes and kinda ruined our win, so that is disappointing, but I am glad to finally get all of these guys finished
