I'm listening to some Exodus at the moment. I've been in dire need of some fresh music lately, and Exodus are so cool. Badass Thrash Metal.

Check out "War is my Sheppard" and prepare to mosh.

Similarly I've been listening to a lot of thrash and other metal again. A friend lent me some Amon Amarth, 3 Inches of Blood, Testament, Death Angel, Kreator, and Overkill, and I've been listening to Exodus and Ensiferum on Spotify.

I saw on facebook that you had been listening to Exodus yesterday. I giggled a little at the coincidence.
Ensiferum are really good. Victory Songs is such a fantastic extreme folk metal album.

I generally enjoy more modern Thrash like newer Kreator and Exodus. The old stuff bores me to be honest.

Listening to Intronaut on Spotify. Some quite nice post progressive sludgy metal. Best way i can describe it, really.

EDIT:

I should be able to get behind this music. It's easily their most technically proficient album that I've heard (never did get around to the second s/t album), it's far different from those aforementioned albums, and they brought Jesse back.

Yet I feel this album is very meh. Perhaps it'll grow on me in the future when I pick it up for $5 or some shit, but now? I'm not a particularly huge fan.

Truth be told, I just can't get into metalcore much anymore. The last album I really loved from the whole metalcore scene... Well, it was probably Trivium's Ascendancy, and that shit's old. Just seems to me the whole sub-genre has gotten more boring and derivative in the years since albums like that and Alive or Just Breathing. *shrug* Or perhaps I'm just growing old and realizing this shit's no longer for me. Whatever.

With age we comes calm music.

I've heard a song or two from that album, it sounds good (especially for metalcore), but it doesn't really do anything for me. Killswitch are easily the best metalcore band around, however the genre was never my cup of black coffee.

I got my signed copy of Ghost's new album "Infestissumam" in the mail today and I'm obviously listening to it right now.

Holy. Fucking. Shit. This is so cool.
As with their first album, this is so unique catchy. Papa Eremitus II's vocals are fantastic as always.

If you liked their debut, you'll most definitely enjoy this one as well.

So cheesy, goddamnit!

Also, I've went into Amorphis frenzy, what with their new album coming out in 10/11 days in the UK.

They are a little cheesy, but at the same time they really aren't. They're so brilliant.

I also got Shining's new album "One One One" in the mail today, so I'll have to give that one a few spins.
I'm also prepping myself for tomorrow's Truckfighter, Purified in Blood and Kvelertak concert so I'm blasting loads of Kvelertak. I still need to listen some more to PiB and Truckfighters, but I'll get around to it, I guess.

"Welcome to Wherever You Are" - Bon Jovi

This song connects with me on some personal level. The chorus sends chills down my spine.

Listening to Leprous' new album, Coal. It's awesome, in a dark, melancholic daydreamy kinda way. It flows wonderfully.

Chronic (You may notice the little cameo from Ihsahn)
