Well it's £18 (about $30) on Amazon and Play.com. The problem is I really don't want to have to invest a lot of money in another franchise again. I already have many of the on-disc songs in Guitar Hero and a lot of DLC I like too, plus the DLC in RB can get very expensive. For anyone who owns the Wii version, is the lyric font any good? The one in Beatles and Lego isn't that great. EDIT: Gah, I had some money saved so I bought it anyway. Feels like I'm selling my soul to the devil somehow... I'd potentially join the Rock Band forums and discuss the game if it weren't for all the circle-jerking they are probably doing right now. I'm going to avoid many forums for a while other than this one and the official Guitar Hero ones. I can't be doing with all the hate at the moment. Now RB1 ISN'T importable at all is it, but Lego is, right? EDIT2: Why is Rock Band 2 so ridiculously expensive? Amazon have is for £50, that's $80! |

UGH. The lyrics presentation. I could rant for a page on it, but... I have a CRT TV, still. It comes in incredibly handy for these games because no (or less) lag. The first thing I did to make the highway readable was turn on Overscan. Don't know if you'd need to on an LCD/plasma TV. I haven't quite gotten the chance to play on one of those. I don't think the font is all that great. The words are still tiny and there is no way to adjust the size other than the aforementioned Overscan. You would think that one franchise would have realized after who knows how many games that the lyrics highway (hell, any highway) should be adjustable. It strikes me as a great waste to have such a tiny vocal highway in single player. Of more concern to you might be the vocals pie. I've been singing since RB3's release and have gotten kind of used to it, but there really isn't a surefire way to tell from the pie what rating you'll get. This is due both to its color and the insanely idiotic decision to put the multiplier INSIDE THE PIE. The last iteration of RB was better in this aspect, as is WoR. |

I own a 22" LCD HD TV so most games aren't that bad. WoR and Karaoke Revolution Glee both have the best lyric fonts for scrolling from everything I've played. As always, component cables and Enhanced Definition help immensely. Even the 2009 edition of Karaoke Revolution suffers from the same sort of problem that I've seen in the RB games I own; the pitch arrow and lyric fonts just aren't big or clear enough. I agree on potentially resizing the elements; I've wondered why it wasn't possible to change the lyric size a little, even just when vocals are the only instrument being used. I'm worried now that I'm really going to hate vocals on RB3. :( WoR's engine, with duets/harmonies and a bigger pitch arrow would have been damn near perfect for me. Shame. Still really interested in the hinted features that were being worked on for GH7. |

Finished importing RB2 and downloading that free 20 pack that I never got around to doing. Anyways, here's the DLC that I bought. Bang Camaro - "Push Push (Lady Lightning)" Bee Gees - "Stayin' Alive" Bon Jovi - Runaway" Bonnie Tyler - "Total Eclipse of the Heart" Boys Like Girls - "The Great Escape" Devin Townsend - "ZTO" Kutless - "Strong Tower" Meat Loaf - "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" I have a LOT of DLC to catch up on. |

I remember somebody mentioning the free 20 pack. How does it work exactly and does the same thing apply to 3 or only 2? I don't know if I'll ever get the latter because of how expensive it's looking at the moment. |

Follow the directions on the back of the RB2 manual. You will be given a code that you redeem in XBL/PSN/whatever the Wii does (if they do it). You need the same code to import RB2, so it's good for that as well. |

I see, thanks. No idea if I'll ever export 2 because getting it looks expensive; might give Lego a go though. Shame that 1 never exported on my system. |

Yeah, why did they make us jump through those hoops to get 2 exported compared to 1? |

Is it just me or does Rock Band 2 have a better setlist than 3? 3 has some great songs, but 2 looks better overall. |

I mean having to log into the website, enter the code, then check your e-mail to get a dlc code so you can download it. With RB1, you just download it from the disc directly onto your hard drive, Simple! |

Well just be glad you can download it at all. The more I learn about Rock Band the more I dislike it. Importing RB2 is simple enough on Wii it seems; have a RB2 save on your system then pay the equivalent of $10 and download like we do in Guitar Hero. Unfortunately both RB1 and Lego don't export at all on the Wii. I was aware of the former and not that bothered, but Lego has some great songs and I can't see any reason why it shouldn't export the same way that 2 and GD do. |
