Might get Love Shack, if only because that gets sang literally every time karaoke goes on.

Shitty Staind choice, and I don't care enough about Young the Giant to get that song.

This makes two Staind songs so far. What will it take for you to get a good one? It's Been Awhile, Epiphany, For You, Outside, So Far Away. And that's just what I recognize by name that I would buy much sooner then this. Maybe in Blitz?

B52s is a buy just because how much my mom hates the song. Strange way to buy songs, but oh well.

Never even heard of the other band.

While he didn't explicitly say it, if you read between the lines HMXHenry definitely implied that the label insisted on pushing their newer material. It is entirely likely that Harmonix wanted to get a bigger hit of theirs, but the label said "no" and offered this song instead.

Well either way I hope one of the ones i listed makes it into Blitz. Don't think it will because of that final ten rumored songs list HMX doesn't seem to let us talk about. I remember 2 songs from it, but not the other 8. Anyone else know?

Foo Fighters - These Days
Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger

And I'm pretty sure there was a song from both Queen and Men At Work, but I don't remember the titles.

EDIT: I found a few more of the rumored songs.

fun - We Are Young
Queen - Death On Two Legs
RHCP - Suck My Kiss (RB3 version)
Soundgarden - Spoonman (RB3 version)

I do remember them saying they would give us SMK and Spoonman back about the same time Black Hole Sun and Dani were brought back via patch. I suppose RB:B isnt a terrible way to do so. Foo Fighters, Queen, and Maroon 5 are all bands we have at least 6 songs from, so they aren't completely out of the question. We Are Young would probably be the worst song in the game.

This makes 6/10 of the rumored songs. Anyone know the other four?

There's been a definite trend of going with the new stuff. It's not really just a one week thing; it's been going on for a decent amount of time now. I understand that the labels have to make a profit on the newer music and all, but that doesn't change the fact this is not Staind I would purchase.

That said, it's not even deeper Staind cuts I want; it's mostly stuff from Break the Cycle, which isn't exactly an obscure album. (iirc It's Been Awhile got a decent amount of radio play)

I absolutely despise that song because it got well more than a 'decent' amount radio play. Of course, Staind is from a town about 30 minutes from here so everything they release the radio is like 'MORE NEW SHIT FROM OUR LOCAL BOYS!!!!11!1!!!'.

Anyway, this week is all junk to me yet again.

Times like this make me glad to live in an area with no scene beyond cover bands. The only thing that would get more play than those fucking Gotye and fun. songs is a local group that made it big. >.>

Actually, I only know one song from Fun. or Gotye that gets good airplay. The rest of their songs seem to be neglected.

Found the leaked songs. Remember this is only a leak. Don't be surprised if they don't get into the actually game.

Quote:

1. Moves Like Jagger- Maroon 5
2. We Are Young- fun.
3. Stronger (What Doesn't Kill you)- Kelly Clarkson
4. Jungle Boogie- Kool and The Gang
5. So Far Away- Avenged Sevenfold
6. Sing- My Chemical Romance
7. Death on Two Legs- Queen
8. These Days- Foo Fighters
9. Give It Away- Red Hot Chili Peppers
10. Spoonman- Soundgarden

My opinions:
1. A song I've kinda wanted
2. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's a bad song.
3. Meh. I could live without it.
4. Don't know it.
5. Slower song from A7X. About the only one from them I know that isn't in RB. Hope to see this in the game.
6. One of the few MCR songs I can actually listen to.
7. Don't know the song, but knowing Queen I might like the song.
8. Don't know the song, but knowing Foo Fighters I might like the song.
9. Didn't care for the song all that much in RB2, but I'll gladly take it back.
10. 2nd favorite Soundgarden song (behind Rusty Cage)

That rumor is false for several reasons.

1. I would think Harmonix would find other ways to bring the two RB2 songs over before having them take up space in a future title.
2. Good Queen pick, but it's essentially a deeper cut when I can think of at least 5 other Queen songs that we haven't gotten that performed much better.
3. With RB only having two MCR songs, "Sing" would be one of the last ones I'd expect to get next. What about "Helena", "Teenagers", "Na Na Na", "The End/Dead!", "Famous Last Words", "Planetary (GO!)", all of these I'd expect before "Sing".
4. There is a much larger bias towards modern music than ever seen in the RB games. On top of that, Harmonix already said that there would be at least 3 70's songs in the setlist. There are only two if the leak is true.
5. "We Are Young" is a slow song and is not a good Blitz song. Harmonix already stated before that slower songs are very unlikely as they translate poorly to Blitz.

All that said, I would not be surprised if "Moves Like Jagger", "Stronger", "Jungle Boogie", "So Far Away", or "These Days" made it.

Might be fake, but I wish it was true. I like 6 of those ten, and the fun song is pretty good too, so yeah, that would make it a definite buy for me, although I already planned on getting it anyway

EDIT: As of right now, there's only 5 songs I care about, would be 6, but I've played Cult of Personality like a million times. Just realized what song Shine was though (even though I just looked the song up like a week ago) and realized this game is now an instant buy.

Over here two songs from each get a lot of airplay ("We Are Young" and "Some Nights" from Fun. and "Somebody That I Used to Know" and "Eyes Wide Open" from Gotye).

Well, "SING" gets a decent amount of radio airplay (or used to, at least), so it's probably become a somewhat popular MCR song. But you're right, I do expect other MCR songs to show up before it.

Listened to "Some nights" on the radio the other day. Actually not a bad song. It probably gets more airplay than you think. But yeah, it's fairly common to see radio stations overplay the fuck out of chart topping hits like that, and never show anything else from the artist.

Also, one of the benefits of living in the city is there's multiple music scenes, and we've had a fair amount of bands/artists that have gone big. So they'll get more airplay than normal, and more mentions than normal, but there won't be extreme excitement over one particular artist, unless they take the world by storm, get #1 on charts world wide, or something like that.
