^ I was utterly baffled by that review. At the very start I was having minor problems with control, but that's because I was swinging far too fast. The controls are perfect, and the game constantly surprises me. |

I haven't played Skyward Sword, but Twilight Princess was MASSIVELY overhyped. It was pretty far from amazing. Zelda definitely gets some clout just from everyone saying how good it is. |

I actually don't like TP as much as the others, it felt... lazy, almost. Skyward Sword is not a disappointment, in complete honesty. It's amazing. |

I have to ask what DLC is worth my money before I actually start this game. Not sure if I want to throw money down on The Stone Prisoner. I'm undecided if giving that to people who purchased it new is a perk or a fuck you aimed at used game buyers. Leaning towards perk if only because it doesn't seem like a major part of the story, plus we can still get it ourselves. *shrug* |

Oh, also playing Super Mario 3D Land when parents are asleep/away/whatever. It's quite fun. The controls are spot on, but it feels a teensy bit slow, but that's mainly cuz of the lack of Triple Jump and the Long Jump got nerfed to hell. The blend between 2D and 3D is fantastic, as is the 3D effect in general. |

Hey, speaking of Twilight Princess, I got my Wii working and have been playing that game all day. I like it, really my only complaint are the extremely loud and annoying sound effects that pop out of the controller. |

I've been playing Skyward Sword. Incredibly fun so far. The art style is great. The environments are great. The characters seem much "livelier" this time around. There are a few things I'm not a big fan of, though. The individual areas almost seem like "levels" with the way the game has them presented. It just seems like Hyrule Field and The Great Sea (or whatever it's called) do a much better job of making the world feel connected. Maybe later on in the game the areas will start to connect more directly with one another, but it seems a bit doubtful as of now. The individual areas themselves are brilliant - the best of any Zelda game yet - but the "overworld" is lacking, I guess. There's also a lack of any real towns or societies or whatever in the individual areas. In previous Zelda games, there's usually a larger town-area and then smaller ones close to the dungeons. This game has the larger town-area (and it's a great one), but lacks the smaller ones. I'm only two dungeons in, so don't read too much into this, but I'm not sure I see either of those things really working themselves out. Everything else is pretty fabulous. Dungeon designs and the control-scheme also stick out as being incredibly well-done. |

I'm still playing Skyrim like a madman, although I'm planning to go down to Gamestop and pick up my copy of Skyward Sword today. Excited to try it out! |
