Last night was incredible.
I was doing a Dark Brotherhood quest that took me to Solitude and there it was, just laying on the floor outside the castle...... My Thieves Guild armour!!!
I am now leader of the Thieves Guild (and Dark Brotherhood). I was so happy when I found it!!

Starting to getting better at flying the jet in Battlefield 3.
Got four kills and only one death (flied into a tower as I was MURDERING ANOTHER JET).
Pretty happy about that shit. I also unlocked stealth, which makes it harder for enemies to see me on the mini-map, fuck yeah!

My kill/death ratio is more or less 1 in average now, which is satisfying for me. ^^

How do you fly the jet? I've flown it twice; the first time I flew up, and went straight down. The second time, I grazed a ship while trying to steer, and apparently just grazing a ship will tear your entire jet to pieces.

It's actually really easy, and something REALLY handy I learned from the hint screen is that once you're in the air, you don't have to hold down the throttle button to maintain the speed.
Just make sure as you're taking off that you go straight up (might want to check out the controls to see what does what too if you're unsure), and then just try your best not to fly into shit. The first couple of times I shat the bed all over, but I got kind of lucky in a match and managed to take down two jets, so I unlocked the flares, the second unlock is the heatseekers (which makes life a million times easier for you).

I also watched this video for some tips on how to fly the jet and things to do to earn points to get those two first unlocks, because killing stuff with the minigun alone is sooo hard, especially as you usually suck balls when you start out.

Assassin's Creed Revelations
Not getting into as much as the others. May be because I rented it so I'm trying to speed through it, but it just isn't pulling me in like the other ones. Like Brotherhood it sucks that Desmond's story isn't focused on much, but I understand why. I'm just hoping that the AC3 will be a Desmond only game. The Desmond plot of Revelations would make a new Assassin make no sense. I really don't want to see Abstergo come down by Desmond going in and taking it down within one level of the game that will probably only take 15-30 minutes to do, that ending would be almost as anticlimatic as the ending to the Dark Knight.

Just beat Revelations, and now I'm so ready for AC3, almost a year seems like such a long wait. Guess I'll just Platinum Brotherhood, continue working on Oblivion, and start Arkham Asylum until then.

Just got the trophy on Skyrim for obtaining 15 Daedric Artifacts.
Pretty good trophy to go for because the Daedric quests are pretty fun with some good rewards.

Only got 4 more trophys left to get now;

Pick 50 locks and 50 pockets (already done the locks, I just never pickpocket)
Get Married
Get a bounty of 1000 gold in all holds
Collect 100,000 gold (currently at about 78,000)

All pretty easy trophys really, but the pickpocketing one will probably take me a while because I'm not very good at it.

Eh, pickpocketing is still relatively easy even if you're at low levels.

If worst comes to worst, just save scum, i.e. save before you pickpocket and reload if it fails. >.>

I stupidly destroyed Vaermina's artifact herp derp.

Thoughts on the FFXIII-2 demo? Sure, why not.

-Yes, the game has quick time events in combat. Fortunately these seem limited to boss battles. You have plenty of time to enter them correctly, so much that I never missed one. I don't know what happens if you do miss one, but hopefully nothing too bad. Starting a complicated battle over because you missed a QTE is bullshit. Anyway, you'll get drops for getting these right and it's not that hard to do so, so they aren't *total* bullshit.

-Paradigms got some much needed improvements. You can refine them so your allies attack either the same enemy or different enemies. I always hated it when my Commandos were like "HERP DERP WE GO ATTACK DIFFERENT ENEMY NAO". No, you fucktards, I want you attacking this staggered enemy. Now I can do that with an Aggression/Cerberus-X paradigm, which is awesome.

I wish they got the same improvements in terms of healing and buffs. It would be nice to tell them when to heal, what buffs get priority... Oh wait. We had that in FFXII. It was called the Gambit system.

-The Pokemon comparisons are inevitable, never mind that Shin Megami Tensei predated Pokemon. Whatever. I don't know if you'll have two human characters at all points in the game, but you did in the demo. A third character slot can be filled by a monster you have tamed in combat. Each monster has one role, and you can also pick a specific monster for each paradigm in your deck. You'll likely want two or three different monsters for your paradigms anyway, so it works out.

It's really a lot closer to Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World than Pokemon. The two games have much the same system, but it would appear to me that this game refines that system.

-Seems there are missions all across the game. Which works for me; chapter 11/Gran Pulse was easily my favorite part of the original. I found only one mission in the demo, that being you have to kill a Cie'th. It wasn't a particular hard mission and I got a fragment for it. There are trophies tied to the damn things, but I wonder if fragments have any use in-game.

-Five starring shit in this game is ridiculous. A preemptive strike is no longer "lol gib 5* pl0x". It's more like you have to finish the fight well below the target time (like, 80% below it?) to have any chance of getting 5*. If there's a trophy tied to five-starring something, I will flip a bitch.

-The Paradox puzzles are rather easy, at least in the demo. Oh wow, walk across a floor with disappearing tiles and collect crystals. Nothing I haven't done before. It barely makes any sense in the context of an RPG. I suppose it's something different than "kill a monster to resolve the paradox", but that might make more sense rather than shoehorning in some silly (and easy) puzzle.

If you want puzzles in an RPG, look to the original Lufia II or Illusion of Gaia/Time. Those games did it right and they're old, so it's not like it hasn't been done.

-The graphics appear a bit... off. It's nothing that will put me off buying this game, but it's definitely something that's easy to see. It will most likely strike you looking at Mog, who has like no fur or anything. Moogles looked a lot better in XII than XIII-2, and the characters in XIII looked better than those in XIII-2.

-Lightning was taken out of an outfit I saw as *reasonable* (I suppose you could argue the skirt is short, but we've all seen shorter/more sexual) and put into something far more fetishistic. One of the things that appealed to me about Lightning/the female characters in FFXIII in general is that they weren't there as eye candy for the male player. Sure, they looked good because video games, but they didn't veer into OMG SEXY TIEM NAO territory. You can make a character that looks good without going into that territory, and it's something a lot of developers/publishers need to realize.

Again, nothing that will put me off buying the game, but I feel it bears pointing out.

-Oh gee, another shitty "I want to destroy everything" antagonist in a Final Fantasy. Seen it in IX, X, XIII, and now this game. *sigh* This is a large part of the reason Vayne was the best Final Fantasy antagonist - He had real goals that weren't "LOL I WANT TO DESTROY EVERYTHING". Shit I almost want to play XII again because it was fucking awesome.

That all said, the demo is not going to change many minds. If you don't like JRPGs, steer clear; this one isn't for you. If you absolutely detested XIII, this game won't change your mind. If you merely disliked XIII, this game might change your mind, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

DC Universe Online. My friend started playing it so I figured now was a good at time as any to try it. As far as MMO's go, there's nothing special here that I've seen yet, unless you're a fan of DC. As far as F2P games go, it's pretty good. Now I'm only level 6 (out of 30 IIRC), but when I played Champions Online -- also a comic book superhero type MMO -- for some time (a couple weeks? :P) they constantly had options to spend money to buy different types of... well, everything. I've seen none of that in DCUO. They both have their pros and cons. From what I've played, DCUO's better at the whole superhero thing. I haven't played much of either, as I've said, but DCUO seems like you pick a type of weapon (stuff from dual-wielding swords to hand beams) and a damage type (fire, ice, gadgets, magic, etc.) and your power selections pretty much stick to that theme. Champions is like "what generic class do you want" and then you can end up doing stuff that doesn't fit in thematically, IMO. Champions has the advantage of obviously being made for PC. DCUO could have gotten a much better UI for the PC version. Hmm what else... Well, both of them have the extremely generic MMO quests that all MMO's will probably have until Guild Wars 2 comes out. Nothing amazing to see in DCUO unless you want to play a DC game.

It doesn't matter if you destroyed that one.
You can get two artifacts from this quest - http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Ill_Met_By_Moonlight

If you read the notes at the bottom it tells you how (it's easy to do).
I haven't even done the skull of corruption quest because I've already got the Oblivion Walker trophy.

DAT STORY TIEM

Played some FE8 today, also started on the bus cuz my Nuzlocke was boring me after four hours straight. I decided to do a Lords Only run on Difficult, and I'm at the split paths and it is so easy so far. Mainly cuz my Lords are so overtrained (Eirika capped 20 at like Chapter 5) that it's a challenge to lose. My biggest problem is, in fact, having enough swords/lances and healing items to go about because I kill so much with one character and no healers.

Imma do Ephraim's route cuz it's harder.
