Started playing as the assault class on BF3 yesterday. It's a nice change of pace from the heavy ass weapons in the support class. Also played some Diddy Kong Racing last night. Fuck that game is heavy nostalgia and epic fun. |

Ico. I was stuck at this one part before, the first part with flying enemies. Then I started playing again and learned three things: (1) You can attack while jumping so if the flying guys are still near the ground you can make them drop Yorda, (2) how to save -- yes I tried the bench before but Yorda didn't sit down so I figured it was just decorative and moved on -- and (3) you can drag Yorda out of the shadow pool thing so all hope is not lost. So yeah I might actually be able to beat this game now. It is pretty fun. But sometimes, I think there are spots with unlimited enemies and it's kinda hard to differentiate those spots from spots with a fixed number of enemies. Other than that, good game. Looking forward to finishing it and then moving on to SotC. |

Just played the FFXIII-2 demo. It was pretty good, just a few things to point out. 1. The new interface is beautiful. In battles you clearly see what's going on and the menu is slick. 2. On the subject of battles, am I the only one who felt they were slow as fuck? It's possible I'm used to playing with the end-game FFXIII characters, but I did feel the ATB gauge was charging slower, even with Haste on. 3. Pre-emptive attacks, as satisfying as they are to pull off, are also waaay too easy. 4. The monster system is absolutely brilliant, if P4 is anything like it then win. Upgrading monsters is cool, as are the feral links. 5. I dun gert the new Crystarium. At all. 6. Strangely, this was my only major gripe; the outfits. They took Serah out of her OMGSOCUTE outfit and put her into... that. Oh my God she looks like a slut. It's not just that, either. The Chocobo girl, whatever she's called, is wearing like two pieces of fabric that barely cover her and then a tail. And Lightning's armour is stupid too. There's the other female I forget the name of who also wears really short shorts and quite a low top. Every single girl in the game so far has had a stupid outfit. Anyway, I felt that was kinda negative, but it was still fun. It felt more like the older Final Fantasy games, for some reason, and Idk if I actually like that. |

P4 isn't like that, though the proper Shin Megami Tensei series shares some similarities with FFXIII-2's monster collecting system. The proper SMT series is also approximately 10x harder than P4 will be even on hard. As for the ATB gauges, I noticed that too. It does feel like battle slowed to a crawl, especially when you compare the battle speed to Hasted characters in XIII. |

Also, forgot to mention, but items actually play a semi-decent role this time. Also the wound state is ridiculous. |

I finished Ico earlier today. Beautiful game. Loved the not-evil characters, despite them not having a whole lot of dialogue. And when they did have dialogue, not all of it was subtitled in English. Still lovable though. Looking forward to playing SotC to see what kind of approach they took in that. |

As I start to drift away from GT5, they add more DLC and another patch. I haven't bought any of the new DLC yet, but when you play online you can chose a room with the new track. (that's what I usually do with this game) This track, Special Stage Route X, is an 19 mile (32km) track similar to an oversized Martinsville (Nascar track AKA a paperclip track) SSRX was added to the game mainly for speed testing. The track labels every 100 meters from the start/finish line, all the way up to 10,000 meters at the other end of the straightaways. This track is extremely fast. Almost every car I have used gets 300mph very easily. The turns are also huge which means you don't need to hit the brakes at all. (even in the Veyron, a car which I find very hard to turn at high speeds.) Most of the cars I have raced with can get around this 19 mile track in about 4 minutes. I've done a few races and it is alot more fun than you would expect from a 19 mile circle. (yes, I did race in Nascars here) almost every race ends in a close finish. Excellent track. May spend the $4.00(?) to get it for myself. I do believe when you buy it you do get some extra crap with it. The car DLC? Only 6 cars. Best ones are a Lamborgini, some VW that reminds me of Herbie, and a premium version of some Jaguar we already have. Dont even give a shut what the other three cars are. |

Twisted metal demo came out today. Decent enough gameplay and all around fun. The only gripe I have so far is switching the selected target. You have to do that with the right analog stick, but the gas is with the square button and the fire button is R2, so if you want to keep firing, but also move and switch targets at the same time, its pretty difficult since you have to do it all with your right hand side of the controller. Otherwise, definately check it out on the PS3, its free after all. :) |

Been playing a crapload of Pokemon White this weekend, such a great game. Probably one of my favourites in the series. I'm at the seventh gym soon I guess, I arrived in Iciruss city not long ago. My team so far is epic: Serperior, Excadrill, Scolipede, Archeops and Fraxure all at lvl 38 :P I also have a Panpour which I use for cut, rock smash and surf. |

I finally played that yesterday. Took me forever to realize that square is gas. I hope you have the option to change controlls in the full game. (Can't see a reason not to include that.) Couldn't really understand how to play since it didn't really have any directions. The most amount of points I was getting in the online games was 150 while the leader had around 700 every time. It was a fun little demo. I'll probably buy the game once I can find a copy for around $20. |
