I downloaded GTA III on my iPad. To be fair, it plays really well. Wasn't expecting much considering your playing on a touch screen tablet, but the controls are really easy and the graphics are just how I remember.
Great for the nostalgia as GTA III was my favourite up until the latest game. Still remember most of the missions, and even the radio adverts make me laugh like they used to.
A couple of things that do bug me about this game; each radio station only has like 4 songs and it gets so annoying hearing the same ones over and over again. AND, I forgot how angry it makes me when cars randomly switch lanes right in front of you or come out of know where and l themselves be crashed in to.

Played dat ME3 demo.

-Like the three choices of playstyles. As I was saying in the Gaming News thread, choice is *good*. Naturally I picked the role-playing option, but not everyone plays games for the same reasons, soooo...

I have the demo; I may as well see what the other two styles are like before uninstalling it, but not tonight.

-I would have messed around with making my own Shepard more, but I doubt it'd be too in-depth in the demo, and even if it were, I'd rather not mess around with it until I get a full game. Just went with default Shepard, answered the few questions as best as I could, and got to playing.

-The game looked really pretty, just gonna get that out of the way. From a graphical standpoint, you won't be disappointed.

-The controls feel a lot smoother and more natural than Uncharted 1, which is really the only experience I've had with anything like this, so it's my only point of comparison. My only real issue, and it's minor, is that switching weapons is done via holding down square, which seems ass-backwards to me.

-This is the most fun with combat I've had with a Bioware game. I loved KOTOR's story and characters, but the fucking dull D&D-inspired combat ensured that game took me forever. DA:O has much the same issues with boring combat, though I can tell from what little of that I've played that I'll like the characters. Mass Effect 3's combat actually resembles fun.

-Other than the boss, the enemies in the demo weren't that difficult on normal. I suppose that level of difficulty is about what I would expect. The boss became a lot easier when I realized staying near him was a stupid fucking idea. >.>

So yeah, it was a decent demo. I suppose I'll make up my mind on whether I rent or purchase ME3 when I get through the first two games, which will take a while anyway. *shrug*

@ RO, when I am done playing ME3 (whenever it gets shipped to me in the next few weeks), I will write a review on it, if that helps at all.

Currently I am playing Twisted Metal, trying to unlock the Talon helicopter. Nothing really bad too say about it, its not a real huge leap though over previous twisted metal games. The biggest addition is their incorporation of online multiplayer! The best mode for me is Nuke mode!

Been playing Super Mario 3DS. I'm on Special World 8, and I'm pretty sure I suffered at least three self-inflicted bruises out of pure rage. Almost done...

I am 35 hours into Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning.  Loving it!

That game looked pretty cool, might get it sometime in the future. Apparently the combat is phenomenal.

Just completed the fourth dungeon on Skyward Sword, such a great game. It's nice playing a Zelda game again...haven't played any since Twilight Princess which is quite some time ago.
I'm also playing a shitton of BF3, I've played it for ~95 hours online, damn. I've reached rank 45, and my K/D is ~0,9...which is fine I guess.
Never thought I'd have this much fun with a first person shooter. :3

I started playing Skyrim. It's pretty cool, although I'm still getting used to the controls and trying to understand what the fuck is going on. But it's neat. I can see how it could become very time consuming, though.

Skyrim is pretty much the shit. Even after you're done with the main quest, there's still so much to do and so much you want to do.

I only did the main quest with my first character, and even then I only finished it after playing for ~80 hours.

I'm pretty sure Skyrim is amazing. Not just neat. =p That said, 1.5 is being submitted to Sony/Microsoft this week, so hopefully we get it in a couple of weeks. I can't wait for dem killcams. Anyway...

Beat inFAMOUS 2 a couple of nights ago. Pretty cool game. The story isn't exactly deep, though it's a bit more complex than simply "beat the shit out of The Beast", which is nice. Loved the gameplay and the various ways to kick asses. And of course I loved New Marais, which I think is the real star of the game. They captured the essence of New Orleans rather well, I thought - It looks and sounds very much like the real deal. But I'm biased on that front for obvious reasons.

Got through that game just in time to start Radiant Historia. I can't think of many other good RPGs (so, this rules Lufia: The Legend Returns out) with battle systems that put emphasis on positioning. The story seems decent enough, and the time traveling system is what I wish FFXIII-2 turned out to be like. It's also a really pretty game, with amazing DS graphics and music that is as good/better than that in the AAA productions on the home consoles.

I beat Borderlands today, took me about 25 hours to get through the entire game. I feel like saying a couple things about it, but not a complete review.

The graphics in this game are fantastic. The cel-shading make an otherwise dull environment colorful, and I appreciate that. One complaint I do have, though, is that the environments started to get a little dull as I got further into the game. I realize the game is diverse in setting (badlands, desert, junkyard, boardwalk, etc) but the color use was all the same and everything was all dirty and broken down. I was hoping it wouldn't be like that the whole game, and thankfully it wasn't. The last area in the game was bright and full of green and wonderful. I felt like I actually got somewhere worth while.

Another semi-complaint I have is the guns. I am quite impressed at the 14 billion different guns in the game, but once you get a good gun, 99% of the guns you come across are terrible in comparison. It's not a real complaint, just sort of an annoyance. Also, the rockets in this game are horrible and should have been more devastating. One last complaint I had was that the money in the game was useless. Sure, it was useful early game when you were running out of ammo/health all the time, but there's hardly anything worth buying with the money. By the end of the game you have $1,000,000+ and nothing worthwhile to spend it on.

The last point I want to make is purely preferential, but I didn't like lack of any real environmental interaction, and the narrative was almost non-existent. I realize the point of most WRPGs is to make you feel like you're the character, but most of the time the effect is lost on me. I prefer to be told good stories than to have to make them up myself. I felt detached from my character pretty much the entire game. I guess that means that it was "me" in the game, but I would have liked it if "I" had a little more personality.

All in all I thought the game was fantastic. The gameplay is great and I had a blast playing it. The elemental weapons were awesome and felt really good using them. It always felt awesome when I incinerated a bandit half a kilometer away using my sniper rifle, or electrocuted a bandit causing his head to explode. The enemies were varied enough to keep the game interesting, and the quests were entertaining and at times quite humorous. I definitely recommend playing this game.

Double post because I can.

I'll be doing a speed run of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time starting at midnight CST tonight (or 11:59 March 21st, for clarity). This way my time played will match the time on the clock. I'll be updating this post with time marks showing when I reached significant points in the game, or got items. This speed run will not be a 100% run, I'll just be playing to beat the game. I will, however, get every item in the game (meaning everything obtainable that's not heart pieces or skulltulas) (I decided towards the end that I just wanted to get this speed run over with, so I cut out as many side quests as possible).

Why am I doing this? Because I'm on Spring break and I can. Plus, I used to do speed runs of this game all the time when I was younger and haven't done it in ages. I just had the impulse to do this again for nostalgic reasons, I guess. I just hope I have the stamina to last the whole night. Wish me luck!
