Been playing Katamari Forever for awhile, I decided to go back to Mortal Kombat. For some odd reason I can play online but I don't remember ever using an online pass (it's probably just a trial). I'm going to play Saints Row 2 real soon. :D
Doesn't an online pass come with the game? (assuming you bought it new) I'm fairly sure that's how they do it with online passes.

You're probably thinking of Saints Row 3. The second game does have online co-op however.

On a side note, fuck the final challenge of the challenge tower in Mortal Kombat. You want me to fight Goro, Kintaro, Mileena AND Shao Kahn? Fuck off!

I was actually talking about Mortal Combat and games with online aspects in general. If you have to buy an online pass for a game you bought brand new I'ma flip shit.

I bought all of these games used, which is why it's odd that I didn't need an online pass for Mortal Kombat.

Sounds like MK doesn't have an online pass. Not every game has that y'know.

Mortal Kombat does. I bought a new copy during the big PSN blackout last year, and when PSN came back up, but the store didnt, I could not get online cause I could not download my free online pass.

Just killed Diablo a few minutes ago.
#madswag

I also started up a new character, a demon hunter. I'm only level 3 but I know this is going to be dope.
I wont level a lot, since I'm sorta waiting for dwest to start playing :3

*edit*

Oh, I just noticed something cool, you share your stash with all of your characters, same goes for money and the amount you've levelled in gem crafting and armour and weapons crafting. I don't know how it was in Diablo I and II, might have been the same there too.

I've been attempting to play Mortal Kombat. By attempting, I mean I play Ladder or Story mode for a bit, and then smash something and rage quit after half an hour.

Been playing Final Fantasy VII. Almost done with it, they just shot the rocket at Meteor and then after that I did a side quest involving Yuffie being annoying.

Also been playing Dungeon Defenders with some friends, and it's more fun than I expected.

I did finish FFVII a few days ago, so now...

FINAL FANTASY XIII
-- More linear than Bit.Trip RUNNER, but everything else about it is great. At first I thought only controlling one party member in battle would be bad, but when you throw in the paradigm system, gestalt mode, and long chains of attacks on the ATB gauge, I can see why you'd only want to control one. My first impression of the auto attack button was that it couldn't know what I really wanted to enter (SwiftKey X does, though, you should try it!), but it works well and is a great time saver when you're trying to monitor HP and paradigm shifting and all that stuff. As for the story, I have not been disappointed by a Final Fantasy story yet, and so far this one seems to be pretty great too. It's the first FF I've played with English voice acting (not sure if the PS2 ones did, but I haven't played them) and I like it. And I don't normally comment on graphics, but in this case they are very good.

But again, you all knew that already, unless there's someone slower than me.

FINAL FANTASY VI
-- So far, so good, but I'm only about 2.5 hours in while I'm like 8 hours in on FF13 now. The characters are likable (y'know, except for Kefka) and the story is good because it's FF. I haven't gotten to see all of the features of its battle system yet, but it seems each character has a unique category of abilities that can be used, or something. These include Tools, Magic, Blitz, and Dance (Moogles!) and there's probably more that I haven't seen. Haven't done anything with summoning yet either.

I second the SwiftKey X recommendation. If there is any one "must own" app, it's this one.

Anyway, glad to see you're enjoying the game. There are times where you might consider directly inputting commands, but you don't really *need* to do this to succeed.

And yeah, the PS2 Final Fantasy games had voice acting. Would recommend XII after you finish this because it's the best.

I started playing some Dark Souls again along with a little bit of Skyrim (to get me prepared for dat Dawnguard). I made a new character in Skyrim, but I don't know if I want to keep playing on him. Pretty much a 1h + shield Imperial warrior with some destruction and restoration magic.
My Dark Souls character is the same one as the first one I made when I first got the game back in October. I suck so hard at the game, and I pussied out so I gave up. The character is a Knight btw. I was thinking about making a Pyromancer, but I dunno, might just invest in some magic for my knight and learn him some pyro shit or soul arrow.

Also playing loads of BF3. Diablo III...I dunno, might still play some with dwest and other friends, but I'm kinda bored with it really. :P

I really should finish up Skyward Sword xD

Nice! I'm trying to collect those notes in Farore's forest to be subtle and not spoil anything. Fairly sure I'm not too far from the end now.
It's a great game, I just have so many other great games to play. :P
I bought it on release day, but I didn't start playing it until like February. I'm slow, but whatever.

I gave up on that Imperial I made in Skyrim, and made a Nord. Wields a two handed sword and a bow, strolls about in heavy armor like a sexy beast. I tried making a character like this before, but something didn't click.
I've always loved using a bow in Skyrim. The stealth system is so good for ranged combat. And the claymore is just a beast to use too. I'm feeling really good about this character. I'll probably finish up the main quest again with this one. Haven't done that in a while.

Anyone else played Skyrim recently?

Playing with my mage character, so yeah, I've played Skyrim recently. >.>

The mage playstyle is actually pretty fun. You'll never do the sheer damage that a melee or even assassin-type character can do, but you have other tools at your disposal that they might only dabble in, if they bother at all - conjuring Atronachs, raising undead, using Calm spells to avoid fights you can't win, etc, etc.

I find Conjuration to be the mage's most useful tool. Restoration is obviously something everyone should use. Destruction costs a lot and does relatively little damage. The benefits to Conjuration last longer than some spell that may not even hit its target.

As for your one-handed character you gave up on, assuming you ever return to it, I'd recommend bumrushing Peryite's quest, once you can do it. Spellbreaker is arguably the most broken artifact in the game.
