I am pretty late in completing LIMBO, but spoilers anyway for those who haven't played it.
The ending was depressing. I get that that's what the whole game was about, but a happy ending would've settled better. Death in general doesn't bother me, but I have a soft spot for kids.
Almost done my 3rd playthrough of Mass Effect 3 with the additional content endings. Just about to start the final assault on the Cerberus base, but I have not finished a playthrough yet with a 100% readiness on the Galaxy at war map (or anything above 50% really). I wan't to see if it does affect the final battle in a big way or not. I decided to go complete renegade this playthrough, I did not cure the genophage, and I let the geth destroy the quarians. Being bad is fun sometimes! :D

Got dat Persona 4 Arena this weekend. I could have ordered it on Newegg and saved $15, but it was actually available locally and it's a game I've been anticipating since I heard about it, so why not get it now and save the time?

This is the point where someone acts surprised that Ro got a fighting game. This is the point where said person remembers it's based on Persona 3 and 4 (mostly 4) and goes, "oh, that explains it".

Anyway, some thoughts.

-The story has a lot of text. Some people have said there's like 40 hours of story or whatever, but I have to wonder how slowly they read and how much trouble they had with the fights. I would say there's more like 15-20 hours of story, though I probably got through it in ~12. I've always been a fast reader though, so take this as you will.

-Speaking of the story, every character has his or her own arc. I rather enjoyed every character in Persona 3 and 4, and each character's personality/journey ensures that their stories are *somewhat* different, so it wasn't an arduous task to get through their arcs. The downfall of this is that you'll wind up seeing certain scenes many times, but all of these scenes are mercifully short.

I'd say there are four distinct stories, all obviously tied to the overall story: Those of the P4 cast, the P3 cast, Elizabeth, and Labrys.

There are also some fake endings, which are fucking hilarious, but I only got Yukiko's myself. I might go back and get Chie's and Kanji's at some point, but idc enough to now. I'd rather move on and start actually learning at least the characters I'll want to main.

-I don't have vast knowledge of fighter gameplay (I wouldn't call SSB a pure fighting series), but I'd say this game is fairly accessible. Sure, there are some difficult inputs, but for the most part, the inputs are pretty simple to enter. If that's still too difficult, there's essentially a combo button: Just walk up to an opponent and start mashing square.

Also, each character seems to have his or her own gameplay: Yu is good at most things but exceptional at nothing (aka a beginner's character), Yukiko is about getting in a Fire Amp/Boost and decimating the opponent with Fire, Kanji/Akihiko are slow brawlers, etc.

Some character thoughts?

Characters I'll likely main: Yukiko, Elizabeth, Mitsuru
Other characters I like: Aigis, Yosuke, Chie
Meh characters: Yu, Teddie
Characters I don't like using: Kanji, Akihiko, Naoto (sad face)
Undecided: Labrys (I'll need to play a bit with her)

I could elaborate on each character, but I'll just say that I tend to prefer playing as fast characters in my fighting games. I also like the more magic-oriented characters in this game because they can make their magic stronger and it's relatively easy to use many of their spells. I suppose it also helps Elizabeth has a healing(!) spell.

All in all, I'm definitely enjoying the game so far. Now to move on to the Arcade and Score Attack modes. Oh, and to learn how to use Yukiko, Elizabeth, and Mitsuru at a passable level (at least) for online play.

Now that school started, I have more free time for game-playing. //logic

Played a little bit of LoL yesterday and today. Seems to have the same effect that GH had on me -- take an extended break, play better when you return. Doubt it will last, but eh.

HOWEVER, I plan to continue FFXIII ASAP as well.

Did anyone try the Game of Thrones video game? From the few reviews I have seen, it's pretty shitty. But I wanted to know if anyone here had played it or had an opinion about it. I have a $25 Gamestop gift card that I don't know what to do with and was thinking about getting something new since I'm currently in no mood to play Skyrim.

^ For those two hours I would be celebrating if I had internet that could download 11GB in 2 hours. Mine usually takes roughly 45-60 minutes per gigabyte.

I'll post brief stuff about what I've been playing like I sometimes do.

Trine 2 -- Played some co-op with one guy, we know another guy who has it too though so we're gonna try to play with him. Loved Trine 1, and so far Trine 2 is even better. The game is so pretty, for one. Both the style of the art and the level of detail are both very pleasing. The basic gameplay has the same idea, but it looks like this one has more puzzles (some which we've only been able to complete because of co-op so far -- not sure if that's intended). Also some new gameplay elements. Overall, excellent sequel, love the co-op, and it's very pretty.

Wi-Fi. I know wired is faster, but even on the computer that's wired to our router downstairs, it's still about an hour per gigabyte. We might be getting new internet soon though because for the same price we can get it from another provider that's more reliable (our current internet went down at around 8PM every day last week) and faster. So we might do that. Hopefully. :P

I downloaded Total War: Shogun 2 today. Had a solid 2.5 mb/s. *gloating*

It was a pretty fun game, the reason I downloaded it was because I was curious if it's something for me. It's a fun game, but I don't think I'm going to put any money into it.

I know I just posted a few days ago, buuut I've had some annoying experiences. SO.

1.) Final Fantasy XIII -- Was playing today. Y'know, the spot I mentioned I played two or three times previously and getting interrupted before a save point. So today I'm like "Okay I'll finally get to that save point" but no I was interrupted. It was okay though because I was interrupted for Borderlands 2 co-op with a friend. Before anyone has raeg, I just like playing stuff with friends more than solo stuff.

2.) Borderlands 2 -- Only got to play about 30-40 minutes today, but I've already rediscovered my love for Claptrap. Me and an IRL friend are both playing assassins because well he looks the coolest. Isn't that why most games with guns are populated with sniper/assassin types? Anyways, we're not far enough to decide who specializes in what yet, but one of us will probably be more long-range focused with the other focusing on close-range.

I popped Dark Souls into my PS3 again yesterday. It's a great game as you all know, and starting a new character makes everything super easy. :P
I'm playing as a Pyromancer, and I plan on making him sort of a soldier/pyromancer hybrid. I'll be getting hold of the Elite Knight Armour Set in not too long. I also killed Lautrec of Carim today and got his sweet ring that boosts my stamina and health by 20%. I can't remove it though, because then it will break, but I don't plan on removing that thing ever.
Playing a pyro is pretty badass, I always loved using spells alongside with melee combat. The pyro has pretty shitty gear to start off, but at least I have a long sword and a heather shield now.
I'm about to take on the Gargoyle's now, then it's off to Darkroot and get pwned by some ents!

I'm also playing some BF3. Mainly been playing Team Deathmatch lately. It's just fun for jumping in and getting some action and blowing off some steam while having loads of fun.

Normally I wouldn't post so soon after my last post, but I actually got to play a decent bit of the last two days. Same two as last time, but still.

1.) Final Fantasy XIII -- I'm in chapter 7. I feel like it's kinda far in the chapter, but idk. Right now Snow is with Hope in Palumpolum and they just found out that a bunch of citizens are being purged so they're gonna go save 'em and stuff.

2.) Borderlands 2 -- Again, co-op with that friend, but we made new characters because last time we were both assassins. Now he's a siren and I'm a gunzerker. It's pretty fun, but I had TERRIBLE lag this time. I'd shoot (mainly with a shotgun) and then maybe .5 or 1 second later I'd see the shot leave the gun. Wasn't game-breaking, but still annoying since there was a delay for everything. Also, would've been nice if we could've done voice chat over Skype, but he didn't want to tonight. We both got to level 7 and we're at the part right after you get on Claptrap's ship after killing Captain Flynt.
