I completed Assassin's Creed 1 last night. It was a fun game, although it was way too repetetive. The combat and free-running was what made it so good.
I'd probably give it a 7/10.
I started playing Assassin's Creed II today, and after a few hours of playing it I can easily tell it's a much more fleshed out game. The graphics, actual head-tracking. So much better. The combat and stuff feels a little odd still, but I'm sure I'll get used to that after a while. The story is getting more interesting now, though!

Anyone here have Guild Wars 2? I might get it soon.

I do! You should definitely get it, it's the most worthwhile MMORPG I've ever played.

Cool! And yeah it does look like the best MMO, IMO, and I haven't even played it yet to find out. My IRL friends seem to have lost interest in it, in favor of Halo 4, Blops 2, and some kind of "school" thing. Oh well. I'll let you know if/when I get it!

I'll definitely consider Guild Wars 2... sometime after I get dat rig built. The idea of an MMORPG with a vibrant community and no subscription is fairly appealing to me. I'm sure even a relatively asocial asshole like myself could find a tolerable group. (no misogyny, homophobia, kids insulting other players/teammates, etc - I don't ask a whole lot, just for decent human beings.)

Anyway, replayed FFXIII. In the post-game, and now am working towards the final trophy for Platinum, which is that goddamn Treasure Hunter one. Yay for needing six Trapezohedrons and five or so Dark Matters to get the damn thing? :/

But yeah, I think I have a few other games in post-game too: FFXII, Pokemon Black 2, and Xenoblade Chronicles. Should probably try and finish them off. >.>

I've been playing the SHIT out of Assassin's Creed II. I'm on sequence 8 at the moment. This is probably on of the best games I've ever played. The glyphs, the mystery and exploration of templar treasures and assassin crypts. I've never felt this kind of drive to explore and get into a game before. I want to know what that clip is, I want to know what the world map on the codex pages show (and I also want to read them). There's so much I want to see and do. It's really amazing. The atmosphere of the cities and crypts are wonderful, and the music in the game is amazing.
My only gripe with it is that combat seems strange in this game. In the original combat was so fluid, so realistic and so nasty, bone cracking and blood gushing. It was gnarly. ACII almost feels cartoony in comparison, which really confuses me. The lines that flow after the sword and all kinds of thing like sound and everything. Combat in the first game felt more presise and heavy as well (like in Dark Souls for example).
it's the biggest dissapointment about the game, outside of that there is much to say.

In other news my parents are on board with helping me buy a new computer! So I'll be playing PLanetside 2 and Battlefield 3 on the computer by the new year! I'm really excited for this. It'll be an exciting change of phase for me. I'll also be playing the new Skyrim expansionpack and stuff. So by the time I start playing that again, it's been so long since I've played Skyrim that'll it'll probably feel fresh again.

I just completed Assassin's Creed II. DAYUM. What a great game! I had massive amounts of goosebumps during the end part. Holy Batman.
I am tempted to play through "Brotherhood" and "Revelations" too, although I might just watch GameSpot's "story videos" (basically a long video containing all of the cutscenes and important jazz). We'll see how exciting Battlefield 3, Planetside 2, Skyrim and maybe even Elder Scrolls Online will be in the next year!

Don't bother with Brotherhood and Revelation, they are very disappointing. They ruined Assassins Creed for me.
At the moment I am playing Halo 4, just got to SR50, I will download Planetside 2 tomorrow when I am at work and I will play more BF3 so I am not terrible when Aftermath comes out

Yeah, it probably wont be worth it. I'll rather just watch those videos to get up to date with the story. Neither of the games got great reviews, so I'm not going to bother. I'll rather spend that time playing other games and hell, I might even get some school shit done.

I just finished playing Final Fantasy XIII and I attempted to play the sequel but it turns out I am burned out for the series as of right now. So I picked up all the Darksiders 2 DLC ad am now proceeding to play the game for a second time!

Just got Adventure Time for the 3DS today since I couldn't pick up my pre-order yesterday. Very rarely are games exactly what I expect them to be. Actually, that's probably only happened once to me. Not to say I don't enjoy it, but it's just a reskin of the LoZ II. An awesome reskin of LoZ II.

Yeah, yeah I know. I shouldn't be wasting my time playing video games, I should be reading for my exam- FUCK YOU.

I am LOVING my new laptop. Playing Battlefield 3 on the PC is so refreshing, it just makes me laugh out of joy. Having ALL the frames, ALL the control...it's such a good experience. I don't even suck that bad on the PC.
I'll probably be delving into Skyrim when I'm done with my exam. I can run it on pretty much maxed out graphics and still get good performance. I probably wont do that, but at least I can use anti-aliasing now! :D

Skyrim has kind of taken over my life at the moment. Well, not really--I'm not the type to totally let games ruin my schoolwork and such, but any free time I get seems to be Skyrim time lately. It reminds me of my youth spent playing Diablo II in the basement... dungeons and treasure. Good times.
