So Lunatic difficulty is aptly named.

>lose Chrom to a crit on the first turn of the *prologue*
>obv have to restart
>at least some luck goes my way and Lissa doesn't die when I derp and put her in the boss's range
>take 18 turns beating said prologue

>chapter 1
>essentially a luck-based mission
>need a Hammer to miss Frederick, aka "the only usable character on Lunatic", etc
>takes me like four hours (not in one attempt, thank the RNG Goddess) to beat this damned map

>chapter 2
>get more units
>still none are usable
>all enemies have Steel weapons
>somehow manage to avoid getting swamped by 6-7 enemies twice

Blah. I can't wait for my DLC to be available after chapter 4. I understand wanting to make this game's hard equivalent *hard*, but there's a difference between "hard" and "luck-based mission".

And Lunatic+ is just some bullshit. Aegis+/Pavise+/Luna+/Vantage+, which activate every time? lol fuck that. At least the game seems to acknowledge this is absurd and locks it until you beat Lunatic, which seems more fair to me.

I can't really break the entire game until after chapter 16 when Second Seals become available, but it's a tempting thought.

Playing the new Tomb Raider. It is actually pretty awesome, no its very awesome. So glad I picked it up, I love buying a game I know nothing about and then it turns into a great title.

Unlocked Lunatic+. I just bumrushed the final boss with Lucina/Donnel and Chrom/Kjelle. One of these days I'll do it in a "proper" way with a proper team. Today is not that day; I just wanted Lunatic+. I'm not masochistic enough to actually play it though.

Anyway, stars of the run, according to the game:

Gold: Donnel (583 kills)
Silver: Olivia (272 kills)
Bronze: Kjelle (263 kills)

I'd think Olivia got a good number of her kills from grinding, but she was one of my better characters - Better than Chrom for a majority of the game. Perhaps it's because I spent 200+ turns dancing her to 30 to ensure they married (and got insane dodge rates as a side effect), but still. Other than that, Donnel and Kjelle are definitely my team's best units and it's no surprise to see them here.

On that note, Sully's only uses are pairing up with Donnel and creating a Kjelle (with Donnel as father, obv) that can tear everything to shreds.

Things left to do:

-Get all the children. Think I only have 6/13. I could have them all already, but I also want to pass down the best skill(s) I can for each child, which takes grinding.

-Work on building Renown/recruiting Spotpass units. I'd love to have a secondary team of my favorite FE characters, just for funsies. (Obv Mia and Nephenee are automatically on this team.)

-Related, do all the bonus Spotpass maps. Still have three weeks until they're all out though.

-Get Limit Breaker for my main team. It's practically required for the next series of DLC, apparently. Also finish building them. Not sure I'll want *every* skill because grinding gets insanely tedious, but I'll want the best skills so I can pick and choose based on a given map.

-Beat the final boss "properly", as in without small team/Galeforce cheesiness, as mentioned.

-Of course, beat the ultimate boss in The Strongest One's Name.

>mfw when i finally no death chapter 11 and chrom marries sully

There's nothing there because I ripped my face off. Here's what's wrong with Sully:

1. She's the worst and I hate her.

2. She's a level 2 Cavalier.

I knew there was a forced marriage at the end of 11, but I sure as fuck didn't think it was gonna default to Sully. I was intentionally pairing Chrom up with Anna a bunch, but I'm not even sure if they can have a support. At very least I figured it would be Panne.

So now I have the main character with a max relationship to a literally unusable one. I don't even know how they had a relationship at all, because I used Sully once.

This is basically just a vent post.

[And btw, it didn't take me that long to beat Chapter 11; I've barely played lately.]

Huh. Chrom married Sumia in my game, which I thought actually made sense so I just assumed that's what happened in every game. Guess not.

Sexual Orientation: Not Picky

From FE Wiki:

Quote:

If Chrom is not married by chapter 11, he will be automatically married to the female with the highest support level with him, except for Lissa. If he has equal support levels with all the females, he will marry one of them anyway with the priority being:

  1. Sumia

  2. Maribelle

  3. Sully

  4. Olivia

  5. The female Avatar

If Chrom has not made any supports with any female units before the end of chapter 11 or all the candidates are dead/married to someone else, he will marry a generic village girl,

And yeah, Chrom doesn't have supports with Anna or Panne

Well I guess Sully is still marginally better than an NPC.

There's no such thing as remarrying if the spouse dies, is there?

Still better. The NPC doesn't pass down any classes or anything. The other characters all do, even if Sully passes down arguably the worst selection.

Also, no remarrying.

Children status: obtained. Now to start grinding the little fuckers.

But I really come to say that I was accepted as a beta tester for FFXIV. Obv testing the PC version. I'll probably download that later tonight and play this weekend, since that's when it apparently starts. So yeah, I'll be playing that when I can too.

Is it really any worse than Ricken being able to have children?
