Hmm well some friends wanted to play Neverwinter, but then the guy who I thought wanted to play it the most decided to uninstall it. So idk if the rest of us are still playing. Basically this game is supposed to be a Dungeons & Dragons MMO (I thought that was the goal of Dungeons & Dragons Online when it launched years ago, but apparently this one was supposed to be different). So we started playing. I didn't see anything unique about it at all, though. The most unique part was that unlike other F2P MMO's, Neverwinter wasn't bombarding me with messages telling me to buy stuff with real money. And from what we played (which was only maybe five hours), there didn't seem to be any kind of unfairness towards players who don't buy stuff. Anyway, playing this made me want to play Guild Wars 2 again because I did very little in it and it's so much better. I've also been playing Borderlands 2. I'll probably finish it over the rest of Memorial Day weekend (mixed in with ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT SEASON 4 YEAH). Anyways, it's still pretty fun. Lots of fun weapons, quests, bosses, an unexpected major character death. I don't know if I'll get the DLC. From what I've read, it's pretty good-quality DLC (big new areas, big stories with lots of quests, etc.) but I'd rather get completely new games, I think. Also, since I'm waiting for my friend before continuing BL2 (we're gonna co-op the end since I caught up to the part he's at), I started God of War II. I hope the rest of the game is as good as the first hour I played. Yeah, there were a lot of simple tutorial things in it, but it was pretty epic. |

Beat To the Moon last night. tl;dr: If you like emotional stories and great music, get this. I can't think of a game from recent times that was more emotional than this, though that could very well be because, one, it hits close to home, and two, dat music. It looks like an SNES game, has little "gameplay", and is maybe 3-4 hours long, though, so keep that in mind. |

I got the Batman Arkham games off of Steam today for dirt cheap (only $10), so I've been playing Arkham Asylum. It's a really cool game. Definitely the best superhero related game I've ever tried, but that's not hard to beat. It was definitely worth the $5. |

I've been playing Final Fantasy VI and Borderlands 2. No, I did not finish God of War II (which I mentioned starting in my last post), but I haven't been playing it either. Anyway, I'm about 9 hours into FFVI, and I haven't even met all the characters yet, but they're easily my favorites so far out of the four I've played (I, VI, VII, XIII). I guess that's not a huge victory, especially because FFI is one of the four, but anyway. I like it. Lightning has mentioned this in the chat, but battles do seem unbalanced a lot. I rarely struggle to defeat anything. It's fun, though. Umm as for Borderlands 2, I was going to co-op with a friend, but it's laggy because of my internet. So I'll finish it in singleplayer sometime. But FFVI is so much better*, and I have to read ASoS so I'm comfortable on the internet after Sunday night. *EDIT: Well, what I meant was, right now I'm more engaged in FFVI, so I want to keep going. FFVI's plot is better, but it's kinda hard to compare the gameplay of the two, since they're pretty different. |

Got Injustice: Gods Among Us for my birthday. Basically, if you've played the new(er) Mortal Kombat game, it's like that but with DC characters. And I guess fatalities are no longer a thing, but you can punch someone through a wall into another arena so that's cool as shit. I haven't gotten very far into the story, and if it's anywhere near MK's, I probably will never finish it, but it's a pretty good story from what I've read. |

Finished up Batman: Arkham Asylum today. Took me about 9 hours to complete it according to steam. It was a really good game, and I definitely recommend it for anyone who are looking for some Batman action. It was definitely worth it for only $5. It had a lot of really cool elements, one of the things I liked the most was these short sequences with Crane, the Scarecrow were you're fucked up on the fear poison. Pretty trippy and fit the theme of the game really well. The combat was pretty cool, and when you're able to pull off big combos and stuff it feels good. Not the most exciting combat in the world, but it worked. The stealth elements were really cool though. Sneaking around in vents, sitting gargoyles waiting to snatch up a baddie was really cool. The game takes place over the course of one night, and while some games have a static character whos appearance doesn't change, this game shows small subtle changes to Batman's suit, like rips and a more and more beaten up cape, after a while Batman will have some wounds on his face and starts getting a 5 o' clock going on. I thought it was really cool how these subtle changes just shows that he's had a pretty rough night. I'm pretty stoked to start playing Arkham City later on. |

That's awesome, Calv. I'm probably going to pick it up after summer, hopefully GameStop will still have that sell two games buy one for $10 deal on that game when I get back from my vacation. I started playing Banjo Kazooie on an emulator a few days ago. I'm a few hours in, but it's great fun. The characters and gameplay are really great, as was all of RARE's stuff back then. One thing I really don't like about Banjo Kazooie compared to Banjo Tooie (which is easily the greatest N64 game of all time) is that nothing in the world (outisde of Mumbo's skulls, honey combs and jiggys) is saved, so if I decide to stop playing after only collecting like 50 of the 100 notes in one world or only save two out of five Jinjos I have to collect them all again upon re-entering. Luckily you can save states on Project64 so I don't have to worry about that, it's just a little annoying if you want to try your luck on another world if you get stuck. And the PS3 controller works very well once you figure out a button layout that works well with the C-buttons and stuff. (I use R2 and L2 and left and right, and circle and triangle for up and down. I've also been playing some Batman: Arkham City, although I haven't really gotten too far in that game. I'll probably finish it up in the next few weeks. As always I've been on a BF3 high, been playing the recon (sniper) class quite a bit lately. My aim is really starting to improv11e and I have all the attachments I want for the two sniper rifles I like to use (one semi-automatic and one bolt-action). I also tried out the Witcher 2 today, mostly to figure out some graphics settings that would work well. I had to turn down my resolution a little bit, although it was worth it as I could get better overall graphics, and resolution isn't THAT big of a deal compared to 3D models etc. I'm probably lying pretty nicely around 45-60 fps @1600x900 IIRC. |

Hmm I guess I didn't mention it before, but I finished Borderlands 2 a couple weeks ago. Finished Final Fantasy VI about half an hour ago. I've played I, VI, VII, and XIII now, and so far, this one has the best characters (IMO). It has too many, but I really liked the important ones. |
