Also kinda pissed because the X2010 redbull car ( goes over 300 mph) I spent weeks trying to get? (i did end up getting it a while ago) The recent update gave everyone one of them for free. FFFUUU

Yeah, they really need to fix that in some way. Because if someone just started playing the other day and gets an X1 then they pretty much have a fast pass through the game since you don't really need to learn how to drive it properly to win races with it.

After restarting a few times and deleting a patch, I've gotten thru Dark Souls entirely for the first time a couple days ago. I was going to beat it on NG+ but I'm just going to start over instead; It's kinda hard on NG+ even at the beginning and that means when I'm walking in lava and fighting dinosaurs later in the game I'll probably give myself an aneurysm.

I've already obtained 61% of the Playstation trophies with my first playthrough so maybe I can get them all with one more go...

I just got a chance to play Dark Souls.

It sucks. It's not fun. It's not "the hardest game ever". It's fake difficulty everywhere. Enemies are just overpowered, there are glitches galore and the camera is your worst nightmare. The worst part about the entire thing is that you can ONLY slash right to left (as far as I know). Your weapon bounces off walls. Stuck in a narrow gap? You're screwed. Oh, and naturally, the enemies can all hit you through walls with long-ranged spears etc.

I just beat Batman Arkham City on Hard + mode. It did not make it that much more difficult over normal mode, but mind you I had the strategy book to help.

That depends on your weapon, Marill. Not every weapon slashes left to right, you can thrust with some, with other you can perform an overhead swing, and you can also perform a jump attack...or you can riposte. And yeah, the camera can get a little annoying in tight corridors.

I can understand your frustration, and I don't think Dark Souls is for everyone.

Recently bought a Dead Space bundle on Steam at a cheap price, along with the Humble Voxatron Bundle. Impressions of the games I've played (which is not all of them) so far:

Dead Space -- While the story is obviously far from original, I do enjoy the gameplay. For those who don't know, you kill the aliens that attack you by severing their limbs with weapons like a plasma cutter and pulse rifle (that's all I have so far, but I've seen a flamethrower and line gun mentioned). So that's different for a shooter, but no, that's not enough to make me love a game by itself. I've only done the first two chapters of the game, but there is a nice variety of enemies, and the zero-gravity areas along with the vacuums of space add a nice change of pace to the levels. The game has some "puzzles", but it's a stretch to call them that. Let's just say you manipulate the environment in order to progress through a level. Calling it a puzzle would imply that you have to figure out something when it's pretty obvious. However, I don't know if there are actual puzzles later on. That's about all I have to say on that for now.

Voxatron -- Haven't played a whole lot, but it seems interesting. The art style is kinda like 3D Dot Game Heroes, or an aerial view of a Minecraft map. You control a character that can shoot stuff. The environments are fully destructible, so you can use that to your advantage when dealing with the waves of enemies that attack you. It also includes an editor, which I haven't tried yet, but the video of it that I saw makes it look pretty easy to use. I don't think there's multiplayer.

Blocks That Matter -- Haven't played much, but it's a puzzle game with Minecraft-style blocks in a 2D world. I haven't played much of it at all, as I said, but I don't think this game is about creativity. Pretty sure it's about destroying stuff and building stuff to get to the end of a level. It was added to the Voxatron bundle after I bought it, so I got it for free anyway.

I also got Dead Space 2 as part of the Dead Space pack, but I won't be playing that until after I finish Dead Space. The Binding of Isaac (from the creators of Super Meat Boy) was also added to the Voxatron bundle, but I haven't played it.

Well, if you've paid attention to the Recent Purchases thread, you'd know I'm playing The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection. I've only tried Ico, so far. Gonna beat that before I move on to Shadow of the Colossus. Its simplicity makes it quite an interesting game and the protagonists, Ico and Yorda, are adorable. :3 I also love the music (what little music it has).

Been playing Super Metroid, and now my cousin's disc of Dark Souls has stopped working (it freezes just as you kill the Bed of Chaos boss. The penultimate one. Ouch), I can actually play it because he's not taking my TV. I've played an hour so far, it's amazing :o

Reminds me of me with the first Metroid. I'm stuck on Kraid.

Also, why can't there be more games like Ico? Games like this prove that video games are an art form.
