Reservoir Dogs - I've always loved Mr Tarantino's work, and this was no exception. The acting was superb, and I like the...I guess it's minimalist(?) setting. Basically it all takes place in a single room, except for the beginning (which is my favorite part, and probably most people's) and the flashbacks. Very good acting. I love Steve Buscemi.

Memento - I mostly watched this because 1) I love Christopher Nolan and 2) my psychology teacher keeps raving about it. And I can see why. It definitely has the.... oddest plot structure ever. Basically it has two parts: black and white, and color. The black and white segments are told chronologically and happen before the color parts. The color segments happen in reverse-chronological order (wut). So basically, the ending is first, the beginning is right after, and the middle is at the end. Very good movie though.

Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog - I guess not really a movie movie, but I'm counting it. The humor was very good, the musical parts weren't obnoxious like most musicals I see, and the acting was good. Obviously, since it's Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion. I'd easily watch it again. and again. and again.

Didn't read your post yesterday, but I actually just came here to say that I also watched Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog. Heh. Anyways, I liked it too. I'm not usually into musicals, but the cast and Joss Whedon pretty much meant I'd have to like it, and I did. I'd also watch it again. It's short (well, for a movie/musical) and would be fun with friends. Although, I'm not sure my friends would "get it". They might think "lolwut worst superhero movie evar" instead. But I liked it. :P

My History class is watching Nuremberg. Any movie that shows Nazi leaders getting the shit beaten out of them is pretty awesome.

Yesterday after I woke up after going to sleep at 6 in the morning, I watched some movies.

Airplane! - This was easily one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while. And it was actually humorous, not just lol funny like a lot of movies now. Leslie Nielsen is obviously awesome, but the other actors were also quite funny.

Exit Through the Gift Shop - I hate calling this movie a documentary because that just makes it sound boring, and it's not. If you don't know, this follows a French-guy named Thierry Guetta as he gets sucked into the world of street, meets and befriends Banksy, and becomes a renowned street artist himself. It's really good. I never cared for street art before, but this movie was very interesting.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - this movie wasn't as outstanding as I was led to believe it was, but still good. This is my first Paul Newman movie, so take that as you will. Newman and Redford had very good chemistry, and the humor was intelligent but not overbearing.

I watched the American version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It was alright, but I liked the Swedish one better. Also I fucking hated that she had like invisible eyebrows!!

That scene is hilarious. That has to be one of the best athlete cameos ever.

My fucking brain when:

Donnie Darko-I can honestly say that this movie makes no sense. If you do a lot of research into stuff that got cut and the director's cut, and stuff the director was just thinking in general, you can figure it out quite a bit. But by just watching the theatrical cut it's literally not possible to fully understand. Yet for some reason, everyone likes it. I'm not excluded from that. It's just likeable for some odd reason, despite the time travel. Jake Gyllenhaal is sexy as ever, except also sociopathic, so there's another plus. There are actually a fair amount of comedic moments, as well as dark. Even though Donnie's life is modeled after an 80's schoolboy's life, it's pretty much still entirely effective today, which makes it one of a very select group of films made by people that actually apparently went to high school.

I don't really know why this movie's good. It was just executed well I suppose.

Also, this scene. [NSFW language]

9/10

We are watching A Beautiful Mind in my health class, knowing the twist makes the movie slightly less intense, but it still engages me.

Watched Christopher Nolan's first feature-length film, Following, in my film class. It was really low-budget (Wikipedia says $6000, which is almost 31,000 times less than The Dark Knight), so it's not exactly the nicest of movies. There were some moments where you could tell, like when they go into restaurants, but it didn't detract from it too much. The story was fun to watch unfold, even if it was confusing at times (non-linear storyline). Probably requires a second viewing to completely understand, but I'm fine with just seeing it once.

Serenity - Since I finished watching Firefly, figured I'd watch this as well. It's very good, well written, good plot.
I got uber sad when Book died, since he was my favorite character in the show, behind Mal of course.
I can understand why it didn't do well in the box office, since only people who have seen the show can understand it at all.
