I saw Monster University earlier this week, 12 years after seeing the original in the movies. Pretty cool feeling tbh. Also saw the original the same day. Not sure which I actually liked the most. Last night we saw The Amityville Horror. It was an okay movie, except I hate horror films, so it suked lol |

For my religion class, I watched a documentary called Hell House, which is about a church in Cedar Hill, TX (near Dallas) that puts on these haunted house-type things every October that have super Christian overtones. It was pretty messed up. But if I actually go there and do it and write a reflection on it then I get extra credit so I'll probably do that. But it was still pretty messed up. People going to hell because they killed themselves because they were raped/bullied. And, of course, the gay guy dying of AIDS in the hospital. But at least the girl who died from her abortion pill accepted Jesus first so she didn't go to hell, right? |

I saw Gravity today. Great movie. It really makes you glad that you aren't an astronaut! It would have been cool to see in 3D but I could also see it making you feel really sick from all the spinning. |

I watched this in an exclusive theater with my family, which was very pricey but worth it. They have reclining chairs and free popcorn but shame it wasn't 3D, although, I'd probably feel sick too. About the movie, it's a great thrill ride with amazing visuals and great performances from Bullock and Clooney. |

So I stumbled upon a 9gag post that has a list of under-appreciated movies or less know movies that you should watch, something like that. It's a very interesting list which has movies like Punch Drunk Love, Adaptation, and Rushmore. I plan on watching maybe 80-90% of the movies on this list, or if I feel like it, watch all of them. So here are a few of the ones I've watched so far (also the synopsis in case you might be interested): Seven Psychopaths After I watched this, it was one of the moments where I went, "I like it but I don't know why." I guess I'm just not used to dark comedies. When I watch comedies, I usually expect it to be something similar to The Hangover or Zombieland. Though, I guess this one is kinda similar to Zombieland just minus the zombies. So what I really like about the movie is the characters. All of them are just funny. 50/50 I really like these kinds of movies. Somewhat dramatic with a dash of comedy. It just feels so real. Usually, I'd praise Joseph Gordon-Levitt for his acting but I've already seen this in (500) Days of Summer but the one who deserves it is Seth Rogen who plays the "happy-go-lucky friend" very well. He does throw some dirty jokes here and there but they're very mild (compared to his other movies, I think.) Overall, it's a great movie and personally, I think it's a must-watch. So that's it. Hopefully, I can watch more movies on this list by the end of this term. |
